It’s Official – The World Has Gone To Hell In A Handbasket **Updated**

Update below the fold.

You know, I really should stop being astonished at the news, the sheer upside-down-ness of the world in which we live. But, no – I suppose I still expect a modicum of sanity to prevail. Sadly, that expectation fell far short when I saw some of the following news stories.

For instance, WHO would have ever thought that North Korea – NORTH KOREA – would head the UN Disarmament Council? No one, because it is insane. Yet, that is the reality:

Nuclear-armed North Korea has assumed the presidency of a key United Nations disarmament body — despite facing UN Security Council sanctions over its weapons programs.

The development comes in the same week the UN defended its decision to support Iran’s holding of an international “anti-terrorism” conference — which saw participants declaring that Western powers were the international terrorists.

UN officials point out that North Korean ambassador So Se Pyong takes on the presidency of the Geneva-based Conference on Disarmament under rules that say the chair will rotate among all 65 member states in alphabetical order.

But critics said Wednesday the rules should be changed when they allow the body — whose mandate is in part to push for world nuclear disarmament — to be led by a country that the West considers to be an international nuclear renegade.

“No system should tolerate such a fundamental conflict of interests,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of Geneva-based UN Watch, which also led protests against the UN’s input at the Iranian “anti-terrorism” conference. [snip] (Click here to read the rest.)

Who could really be surprised, though? This is the same “august” body that put Iran on the UN Commission on the Status of Women. Does it surprise anyone that IRAN is happy about this? Yeah, I didn’t think so.Yet another institution for which I have lost all respect.

Meanwhile, the US, in its infinite wisdom in Insanity Land now recognizes the Muslim Brotherhood:

The U.S. has decided to formally resume contact with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood group – which does not recognize Israel – in a move that could further alienate some Jewish voters already skeptical of President Barack Obama, it was reported.

One senior U.S. official said the Brotherhood’s rise in political prominence after the forced departure of former President Hosni Mubarak earlier this year makes the American contact necessary.

“The political landscape in Egypt has changed, and is changing… It is in our interests to engage with all of the parties that are competing for parliament or the presidency,” said the official, who confirmed the news to Reuters on condition of anonymity. [snip] (Click here to read the rest.)

Do I really need to remind everyone of who and what the Muslim Brotherhood is? You know, “The Quran is our law; Jihad is our way,” including against the United States, Hamas-spawning, and Israel hating formerly outlawed in Egypt organization? Yeah, that one. The same one Obama invited leaders from to hear him babble on in Cairo while they were still outlawed. Yeah, we saw this one coming.

And as if this is not bad enough, the United States, in its infinite insanity, has designated Israel – ISRAEL – as a country that produces terrorists (h/t Gina). Just to be clear – we are engaging with the Muslim Brotherhood, a TERRORIST organization, and calling one of, hell, our ONLY, Middle East ally, a terrorist sponsoring organization:

In an implicit admission that Israel is so threatened by terrorism that it is not only surrounded by countries and territories that produce terrorists but also unwillingly harbors terrorists within its own territory in a way that most other nations in the world do not, the Obama administration is currently listing Israel among 36 “specially designated countries” it believes “have shown a tendency to promote, produce, or protect terrorist organizations or their members.” {snip} (Click here to read the rest.)

Seriously, are these people out of their freaking mind? And how in the HELL can the Hillary Clinton, as head of State, support this? Don’t even get me started.

But really, what can one expect from someone like Obama, who not only plays fast and loose with the facts, but is a huge bully while doing so. I cannot go through them all, but let’s just look at Obama’s big comparison between corporate jet taxes, and student loans:

[snip] In a bit of class jujitsu, the president six times mentioned eliminating a tax loophole for corporate jets, frequently pitting it against student loans or food safety. It’s a potent image, but in the context of a $4 trillion goal, it is essentially meaningless. The item is so small the White House could not even provide an estimate of the revenue that would be raised, but other estimates suggest it would amount to $3 billion over 10 years.

Meanwhile, student financial assistance, just for 2011, is about $42 billion. So the corporate jet loophole — which involves the fact that such assets can be depreciated over five years, rather than the seven for commercial jets — just is not going to raise a lot of money. It certainly wouldn’t save many student loans. [snip] (Click here to read the rest.)

You know it’s bad when even the Washington Post is calling Obama a liar. But hey, if the shoe fits, as they say, and it surely does with Obama.

Blech. I wish this was all, but this is all I can handle without my head exploding.

Thank heavens, though, at least there is one bright spot in the world – it is Canada Day! The newest royal couple, William and Kate, are in Canada for the big day, delighting the Canadians with their charm:

[snip] Friday also would have been the 50th birthday of William’s mother, Princess Diana, who died in a 1997 Paris car crash. In London, her admirers gathered to leave gifts outside Kensington Palace, which was her official residence.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as William and Kate are formally known, arrived Thursday to cheering crowds of thousands. Poised and confident, they thrilled crowds with warm, unscripted gestures, wading into throngs of well-wishers to shake hands and accept flowers and other gifts.

To cheers of delight, William addressed his hosts in both English and French, then cracked a joke about his language skills. “It will improve as we go on,” the prince quipped, then noted how much he and Kate were “truly looking forward to this adventure.” [snip] (Click here to read the rest.)

And this is for our neighbors to the North:

I hope the Royal Newlyweds continue to enjoy their trip, and that Canada has an excellent day of celebration.

Personally, I thank Canada for diffusing the explosion in my head from the other news of the day. How about you – what news stories hit you today?

UPDATE: In response to Obama’s chiding and bullying on Weds., insisting that others should get to work, and claiming HE had been working, the NRSC came out with the following ad:

Oh, snap!

  • Fred

Well I think this illustrates what’s wrong with the whole socialism/communism/leftist ideology that the UN seems to subscribe to.

The only people who seem to advance in such a system are the criminals.

I’m with you all the way, RevAmy. This is the saddest situation I’ve ever seen with regard to the outright, brazen hypocrisy and craven lying, corruption on the part of the government–in. my. lifetime.

The Democratically run Senate hasn’t passed a budget in two years. TWO YEARS. It’s outrageous. It’s sad. And, it’s infuriating to watch this jive-talking street thug–who still hides the documentation about his life from the American people–spewing such outrageous trash-talk. The man is depraved.

And, so is his wife, who just spent $800,000 of the American people’s money to go to South Africa and stay in $10,000 a night suites with an entourage of family and friends, so she could go on a PERSONAL PILGRIMAGE to the country SHE clearly most identifies with; and wrap her daughters in the flag of South Africa!
She behaves like the wife of a dictator.

She just spent NEARLY A THIRD of all the money–$3 Billion–we’d save by eliminating the corporate jet tax break. IN ONE TRIP.
    She’s a bitch. And, he’s a dick.

On the other hand, I love Will & Kate and I love O’Canada, the national anthem. It’s a beautiful song. :-)

Good rant RevAmy. :-) You nailed it.

Perhaps we need to walk the democratic walk and stop conducting foreign policy as if democracy doesn’t matter.  Perhaps we should dump the UN and for the UDN..the United Democratic Nations…

It’s time to stop checking our democratic principles at the UN door.  Perhaps dictators don’t really have a voice and should be treated according.  Democratically.

Hey Ferd_Berfle, Chemist and Systems Engineer, did you start listing yourself as a ” chemist” because I called your hand on that ozone/freon crap? Yes, any high school chemist can demostrate the process. The problem is, nobody addressed how in the hell heavier than air freon got up there. or, how it would have any impact greater than the same crap put out by evaporation from the seas or volcanoes.  I was born, but not yesterday.

Minnesota Government Shuts Down Amid Debt Fallout

    ABC News,
    by Kevin Dolak
    7/1/2011

Minnesota’s government has shut down, ahead of the
holiday weekend, for the second time in six years after state leaders failed to find common ground on resolving a $5 billion budget deficit. Thousands of state workers will be laid off, state parks will be shuttered, the issuance of fishing licenses will be halted and the Minneapolis zoo will be closed. Road projects
will also grind to a standstill just as people hit the road for the holiday.

    Halperin’s MSNBC suspension latest
example of White House press tampering

    Daily Caller,
    by Jeff Poor
    7/1/2011

The promptness with which MSNBC management reacted to
Mark Halperin’s ill-advised remarks on Thursday’s ”Morning Joe” was remarkable, considering it took the same outlet nearly two days to suspend ”The Ed Show” host Ed Schultz after he called conservative talker Laura Ingraham ”a slut” on his radio show. Halperin, a Time magazine editor-at-large, made his remarks
at 6:08 a.m. ET, and NBC Universal issued a press release announcing Halperin’s suspension at 9:44 a.m. ET, within an
hour of the end of the “Morning Joe” broadcast.

Get this – Mika said they are being pressured to – make sure you are sitting down – have MORE Obama flacks on Morning Joe. I am not making this up. Right after she said that, Joe said their guest list runs 10 – 1 Dems to Reps, so the only way to have more Obama sycophants is to have NO ONE who is conservative or a Rep.

And people are always going after Fox??  Good grief – Fox is WAY more balanced than that. MSNBO is simply a propaganda arm for the Obama White House. It is pathetic.

Official Calls For Riverside, 12 Other Counties
    To Secede From California

    CBS
    by Staff
    7/1/2011
    RIVERSIDE

    — Is the state of California about to go “South”? Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Stone apparently thinks so, after proposing that the county lead a campaign for as many as 13 Southern California
counties to secede from the state. Stone said in a statement late Thursday that Riverside, Imperial, San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, Kings, Kern, Fresno, Tulare, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa and Mono counties should form the new state of South California. The creation of the new state would allow officials to focus
on securing borders, balancing budgets, improving schools…..

Rev. Amy,  to steal a line from Alice in Through the Looking Glass, “It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.”  Some time back I wrote that it is a stupid, stupid strategy to isolate Israel, whether one supports Israel or its adversaries.  No matter the righteousness of its cause, the simple facts that even an Obama should understand are that (1) Israel has nuclear weapons; and (2) a nation born from the ashes of holocaust will not go quietly into the night.  A nuclear war in the mideast is inevitable unless someone who cares works mightily to prevent it.  But there’s the rub.  Who cares?  Certainly not Obama and his mate whose only real interest in the Presidency was the perks.  Certainly not Hillary Clinton who, for reasons known only to her, abandoned the people’s interests for her own.  Certainly there are members of Congress who seem to care but their voices are drowned out by the cacophony of more important issues that flood the airways and print:  will Casey Anthony get convicted; did Strauss-Kahn rape the maid or what?  We are in for some dark days ahead because right now, nothing makes sense and I don’t think that will change.
Your post, as always, was excellent.  Now, I think I will go get drunk.

    • Anonymous

Thanks, HLM – I appreciate your insights.

And you are spot on, of course. We should care what is happening with Israel for lots of reasons, whether we like them or not.

I am deeply, deeply disappointed in who Hillary has become. I used to think it was good that she was in the Cabinet so there would be an adult in the room, but no longer. She has done nothing but cheapen her own core issues by supporting Obama’s policies. Disturbing, to say the least…

      • Onofres arm

“She has done nothing but cheapen her own core issues by supporting Obama’s policies.”

Or………..perhaps you never really knew what her “core” principles were in the first place, RRRA. To this day, Bill and Hill have behaved with breath taking consistency, they are precisely the characters NOW, that I knew them to be 20 years ago. They haven’t changed a bit, RRRA, it’s just your perception of them that has changed, you’re beginning to see them for what they truly are, and always have been.

        • Anonymous

WOW! Bill and Hillary are opportunistic four-flushers?

          WHO KNEW?!?!?!?

        • Onofres arm

          “WHO KNEW?!?!?!?”

          I knew.

        • Anonymous

Well, OA, I take your point. And yes, perhaps it is my perception that is changing. If I start to think abt all that would impply, from her candidacy and the meek way she withdrew, it raises a whole host of questions.

One question I have had all along was if the DNC knew, and then Hillary when she caved, that Obama was always going to be the nominee no matter the numbers, did they not perpetrate fraud? When Hillary said she would fight for us, asked us to send her our dollars, and many of us did, while already conspiring with the DNC to withdraw, was that fraud? (Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist or anything, but even still, wouldn’t it stop being a theory if it actually happened? :-)   )

And, OA, just out of curiosity, why have you felt that way for the past 20 yrs?

        • Onofres arm

“And, OA, just out of curiosity, why have you felt that way for the past 20 yrs?”

I suppose that, since my first impression of Bill and Hill as deceitful phonies, selfish operators, power hungry elitists, and amoral hedonists, was so amply verified by mountains of the type of evidence that is always strangely ignored by reflexive supporters, that I had no reasonable alternative BUT to see them as they are. Back in 1992, I distinctly remember feeling like Cassandra when I pointed out the damning details and disturbing history that the Clinton team worked overtime trying to conceal. There was plenty of evidence indicating who and what they were, if you bothered to look.

In 2008, I relived that same frustration when, again, I became Cassandra by pointing out Obama’s deeply disturbing issues, only to be scoffed at and ignored, or worse. Disregarding the MSM’s complete non-investigation of Obama, there was still plenty of evidence that he was a pathological Narcissist, a slackard, a phony, and a totally unqualified individual who would NEVER have been seriously considered for ANY of his previous positions, even entrance into Harvard, if he wasn’t cynically using his AA half to it’s maximum exploitation. He’s the inevitable result of an affirmative action that focused entirely on skin color, and not on ability and actual accomplishment.

Does my initial impression of Obama hold up, now that we’ve seen him in action? If anything, he’s worse than I imagined him to be.

        • Madame deFarge

          You are 100% correct, Oa

        • Docelder

Yes OA, we were onto the Clintons when it wasn’t cool. Lots of people knew all the way back to when the Clintons first moved to Washington. People think of Obama as the first American Idol POTUS but I distinctly remember Bill playing the saxophone and that pretty much makes his own event the equivalent of an American Idol show as well. I never recalled Bush I or Reagan or Carter or Nixon doing a talent show. The Clintons are exactly the same as Obama. Exactly. In fact, I think they and the democrat establishment have played Obama and are using him to take the heat for all the things they would like to do themselves but don’t want to dirty their hands with.

In a sense, the whole Casey Anthony show seamlessly melds with Rev. Amy’s other topics of going to hell in a handbasket.  We are living through the scarcely conceivable–looking into the heart of darkness.  If only Casey weren’t so cute and bosomy; if only her family weren’t so superficially all-american.  We are raptly watching the death of innocence at the hands of what is shallowly  glamorous, but twisted inside….we aren’t going to hell in a handbasket–we’ve arrived.

I’ve been reading old cynical hard-boiled detective novels lately.  Lew Archer, Phillip Marlowe, and Sam Spade learned to look past the glitz, money, and glamor, get beaten to a pulp,  and still managed to survive from chapter to chapter, novel to novel.   Seems they always managed to put one foot in front of the other and slog on with their moral core intact.

I have some real yo-yo’s for a family (and I mean that in the MOST loving way!) and have often commented that all they’re good for is being the Poster Family for Narcissism and Sociopathy. The best thing to do with the whole damned gang of them is to put a velvet rope around them and charge the Tourists $5 apiece to look at ‘em.

After a week of FLORIDA v. ANTHONY, I realized that this is exactly what is happening to the Anthony clan.

Of course, it boils down to the Lowest Prurient Interests of the American People, to wit, “DID HE F**K HER?”

        • Anonymous

And, of course, the most disgusting truth about this circus is that if Casey Anthony looked like a young version of Janet Napolitano, the trial never would have made it to the front page of the Enquirer–much less would it have been the main event on all the MSM & cable news channels….

        • Anonymous

Well, Oowawa, you have a better idea of the case and family than I do since we turn it off at the first mention of “Casey Anthony”. So I am completely ignorant of everything.
I have to be very Canadian here and say I do not believe criminal cases should be tried in the press. I believe in juries that have all the relevant facts making their own decisions without an outside circus influencing them.

BTW – in Canada you have to take the first jurors called – unless they are related to someone directly involved. There is no cherry-picking like here.

Gee, Dick and Chuck, doublespeak much?I recently summed up my opinion of modern liberalism on my facebook page as this:”Liberalism is nothing more than a shiny veneer of arrogant sanctimony covering a decayed and rotting substratum of fundamental immorality.”I have detailed and powerful arguments that support every component of that statement. What your post reveals, RRRA, is the false veneer of lofty rhetoric and doublespeak that have been commonly used by cynical people who wish to conceal the truth. Liberal leaders take the moral high ground by proclaiming themselves to be champions of the poor, and then they create an environment that traps the poor in their poverty and dependence, and then shamelessly claim that it would have been a lot worse without their noble deeds, so “keep voting for us”. Somebody should invent a “Liberal Translator” device that would take the words and actions of liberals and progressives and show the actual truth of them. This is how I imagine the results of the translations might look:”Stimulus Bill” = “Political payoffs and vote buying with money borrowed from future generations”"I feel your Pain” = “I don’t give a rat’s ass what you’re feeling, but I know what to say to make you think that I do.”"Obamacare” = “Political power grab that will reduce US medical care to third world status.”"Win the Future” = “Destroy our future”"Arab Spring” = “The blooming of radical Islam and the beginnings of the Caliphate, with US blessing and help”"Hope and Change” = “Replacing the remnants of a Capitalist system that has been under Progressive assault for 100 years, with mass slavery under elitist State Masters, known also as Marxism.”"The GOP is sabotaging our economy” = “We Democrats are intentionally sabotaging the economy.”"It’s Bush’s fault” = “It’s the fault of 4 years of democrat control of Congress with two years of TOTAL control under Obama.”"Social justice” = “The theft of wealth from party “A” by party “B”, with the assistance of an armed party “C”, from which a small portion will be given to party “D” for doing nothing, causing party “D” to continue doing nothing, except kiss parties’ “B” and “C”s asses, which encourages parties “B” and “C” to continue stealing from party “A”, until party “A” becomes exhausted and morphs into party “D”, at which point, having no party “A” to steal from, the armed party “C” turns it’s guns on party “B”, steals everything party “B” owns, and then watches parties “B”, and “C” (party “A” is already gone) starve to death, since party “C” is incapable of producing the wealth and food that the hard working party “A” used to produce.”"We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for.” = “We’re the ones that wise people warned you about.”

This god damned format is intolerable. My entire post above was properly paragraphed and was easily read UNTIL it posted as a compressed and totally fucked up monster paragraph. I would apologize, but it’s not my fault, and I’m thoroughly pissed off that that this lousy format hasn’t been replaced.

That’s what happens to me with every article I
        post, OA….

It’s a pain in the @$$….takes me at least three
times as long now to post as it did before…..

        But it’s much cheaper….

      • Anonymous

Onofres…I now post my article then put in Word for spell checking and paragraphing…that works.
Dont put do it before posting though or its a worse mess.

        • Onofres arm

Or………..why go to all the bother?

        • ~JustMe~

Yea the format sucks!!! Plus I have asked several times, even through email to have the recent comments moved up to the top! It’s like blogging blind~ Does it not only take a few seconds to drag and drop them into place in the back office????
           Hello anyone home?? LOL

JUSTME…..Up at the top of the thread where the disqus logo is….click it and you can change the order of the posts.

        • ~JustMe~

Thank you~ PssttCmere 1 comment collapsed Collapse I know you can change the order of how posts show in the forum. However, we cannot see recent comments that used to be displayed in the top right column above the recent posts. Although everyone who has registered is classed as Anonymous? When registered you’d think the correct moniker would be visible….??? Whatever!!!

Sorry, OA! I don’t know what the problem is with it, either.

You are so right abt the sanctimony of the Dems. They are the ones who have not passed a budget for over 800 days, not the Reps. They are the ones who sat on the trade agreements that just got pushed through on Tues., because Bush crafted them. And Obama has the gall to turn around on Weds. and berate the Reps for not moving fast enough on them?

I am beyond disgusted with the way they are acting, Obama especially. He is an ignorant, loud mouthed, bully.

Rubio’s translation of Obama’s shameful Tuesday presser:

      • Anonymous

What a great speech – and he is absolutely right. That whole jet v. poor student thing was such a huge load of hooey, and was designed solely to be manipulative. Sen. Rubio is right – the WH didn’t have the foggiest how much it would save, but $3 billion over 10 yrs is not a whole lot in the scheme of things. But that it was a part of Obama’s own “Stimulus” plan and now he is trying to get traction from it reveals him (as if any of us needed any more proof) for the morally bankrupt person he is.

        • Anonymous

Yep–those with private jets are a good class to demonize.  We’re all pissed at those elites that don’t have to stand in line and submit to naked pictures and  genital gropes at the hands of Napolitano’s gestapo…..an excellent platform from which to launch class warfare!

      • Anonymous

Great speech by Rubio! Too bad the Campaigner-In-Chief doesn’t have it in him to say the kind of things that Rubio said. Note that Rubio has the “class’ not to call Oblahblah names but just to express his disappointmnet and to suggest that perhaps Oblahblah just doesn’t understand. Nice putdown, nicely done.

ROFL —Love the title RRRRA…Yet I love even more the insightful article that goes with it.
Hey I knew all about our country and the world going to H3LL about a year into Obama’s candidacy…I think the Nobel Prize was one big Hint..

Just this year alone says a lot.. I don’t think I need to recap any of the mess but if anyone else wants to then have fun…You might just pass up the limit of words you are allowed though ….

To tell you the truth RRRA it seems like the vast majority of the news really sucks…Glad I got rid of Satellite TV …Miss Fox a bit but You All keep me up to date..

I will have to say that seeing the Canada Clips brought a smile to my lips…
Attached is a pic I took in Canada a few years back anyone notice anything interesting about it…

Hope everyone is having a great day and looking forward to a great 4th..

      I know! I know!……….The “M” is in French!

      • Anonymous

ROFL Close …. funny some of my Canadian Friends had never noticed it before.

      • Anonymous

I thought that maybe you were saying that m is for merde …

    • Anonymous

OA probably is right, but I thought it was the pigeon on the roof because it raises the question.  If the word for pigeon in French is pigeon, how does the pigeon know whether it is French-Canadian or American?

Oh you know from the outside that you are at a Canadian McDonalds…We dont have McDonald’s like this here in the states…

        • Onofres arm

I thought the Maple leaf was such an obvious “giveaway” that that’s what you were talking about, I was just avoiding the obvious answer. A Holmesian attention to detail would also have noted the “Telus” phone booth, and pointed out that this is a Canadian internet/phone service. It’s also clean, which means it can’t be in New Jersey or Philadelphia, or any other predominantly liberal community.

If you think McDonald’s all look the same in the States, you haven’t been to Santa Fe, NM or Hilton Head, SC.

        • Anonymous

When I was up there I said something about the M…and they all looked at me and asked if our McDonald’s didnt have emblems on the Ms….
No I know there are some really weird McDonalds out there but we dont put emblems on ours.

I thought the Maple leaf was such an obvious

          wow sowsear1– very Kewl…
Are the English the only ones that get it any more…
So sad how far down the sewer Obama has brought our nation.

      Thanks so much, Kin.

Well, you know, this whole brouhaha with Mark Halperin is just a way for the WH to ENSURE the MSM do their bidding, as if they weren’t already. Their swift response, botht he WH and MSNBC’s, sends a very, very clear message – no negative statements against Obama will be tolerated, and this is what will happen to you if you do.

There was a very interesting piece in The Blaze today that the same day Mark said his thing, Morning Joe played a Jon Stewart clip in which Stewart made a joke abt Romney and incest. Yet, that was fine. It also highlighted that it took a couple of days before anything happened to ol’ Ed for calling Laura Ingraham a “slut.” Clear message being sent from MSNBO.

Kat says we’re now living the story of  “A Wrinkle in Time” complete with Camazotzs.

The United Nations is nothing more than a bad satirical reality show. If the mainstream media was not complicit with these creatures of 1st Avenue then they would be reporting this weekly and Americans would have forced Congress to suspend all funding of the U.N. at least until they moved out of the United States. The cost to New York City every day is astronomical and the economic benefit is negative.

These kind if appointments only serve to reinforce the comical character of this organization that has zero legitimacy today.

    • Daisy Mae

It’s time to defund the U.N.  Agree!

  • annie

I don’t think we have a chance in hell to get out of the mess we are in……..

    • Madame deFarge

We have to and we will.  No choice.

  • Ferd_Berfle

And as if this is not bad enough, the United States, in its infinite
insanity, has designated Israel – ISRAEL – as a country that produces
    terrorists (h/t Gina).
    ================
I thought I had seen it all, RRRA. Not by a long shot.

Islamic extremists represent an Arab “spring” and the only true democracy in the ME is a terrorist-producing country.  Wow.

This administration could tell the world that excrement is nourishing and tasty, too, and the MSM would nod and proceed to televise segments on how to prepare it. Is this a great country or what?

    • Anonymous

You said it, Ferd – that is exactly it. I could not believe it when I saw an article on the back of the front section of Sec. Clinton talking abt why we need to accept the MB. Well, gosh, Sec. Clinton, I can think of a whole bunch of reasons why we SHOULDN’T, including an issue she claimed to be near and dear to her heart – their treatment of WOMEN.

      Sigh.

Yes, so the whole Israel thing – that they may unknowingly harbor terrorists is enough to get them on a list. WTH is wrong with these people?!

      • Ferd_Berfle

WTH is wrong with these people?!
        ==============
I’d hazard a guess and say the types that support this sort of brainless nonsense have no sense of past or future but only the present or they could just be idiots. Tough call.

        • Anonymous

I think that rabid partisanship and ideology rots the brain. It makes people not just willfully ignorant but willfully biased and dishonest. They have abdicated their integrity, honesty and character to a political party. That’s repulsive!

Hillary sold out way before the election was over…I am totally convinced ot that…So very sad..

Not sure why she sold out, but I dont think it was for the SOS job or money..

        • Madame deFarge

I don’t know what the deal was but it was made at the meeting she had with Obama before the election was finished.  She is a tool of the Democrat party and will never go against whatever they want.  I wanted to believe she was a more independent thinker but she and Obama are in sync.

        • Anonymous

Madame can’t reply under you…That is my theory too.
Obama and Hillary both disappeared off the media radar for several hours one night. they were found in a house in DC having some meeting. Things went downhill for Hillary at about that point if I remember correctly.
I have a feeling that there was a whole slew of back room Chicago political blackmailing going on throughout Obama’s campaign and election. Some people Obama threw under the bus like Edwards, Richardson, Wright, Blagojevich and etc when he was done with them…
Some I think Obama couldn’t totally throw under the bus for reasons we might never know…
I do have a feeling that there are more on Obama’s staff besides Hillary that are on board because of what they can DO TO Obama Versus what they can DO FOR Obama and our country.
I think at one time Bill was going to spill some beans on it all…Nov 2008 Bill made a statement that he had a bunch of stuff he was going to tell the country come January 2009..Strangely Bill seemed to disappear for a while at the end of 2008 and for several months in 2009..

    • Madame deFarge

I never expected Hillary to sit down with the Muslim Brotherhood.  If I was disappointed before, she now has earned my eternal animosity.
