Yes was he was not perfect... But your rewriting history. Yes he was true to his states rights belief. Goldwater supported the original Senate version of the civil rights act. But decided against the 64 act because of his state rights convictions not bigotry. Yes it hurt him politically and its also changed him.

He however did not support the witch hunts of McCarthy. He opposed his censure. Give me a break! Get it straight!

No lets support the likes of Pete King who sees terrorists under his bed every night and folk like McCain and Graham the drivers of the NDAA!

Please....

I believe a conservative is someone who does not day dream like you do.

We all believe in smaller government, more personal liberties, more economic liberties, less spending, fewer taxes... Then there is reality....

However no matter what the devil is always in the details..

This election was really about not wanting Romney. No matter how many time the GOP insiders tries to push him down our throats, we keep puking him out. Why? Well, we don't think the guys has any core beliefs. He pays a bunch of consultants to tell him what he needs to do to win; but he never realized that he needs to connect with voters first. Everything with him feels so scripted. Newt has his flaws; but at least we feel like the guy believes in what he is saying and doing so with some passion.

41 percent of married women voted for Newt in the SC primary. That is a high level of hypocrisy. Of course, we don't know how many of these espouse family values. Nevertheless, rather startling.

Hey Scottymac, so happy to hear you think Dian Sare is alright.
All the laRouche candidates are great, you probably have checked them out on the website. They are looking for some congressmen and women who are already elected, from both sides of the isle, to join their "crusade" you might as well call it. Mr laRouche has the most incredible grasp on the whole ball of wax including space time and all that good stuff, and the Basement Team is doing great work on the weather and other matters that are affecting our planet apart from the current president of the US. He actually has a vision of the future, full of really well thought out propositions that would help us to advance our standard of living no end, and help people who are in the doldrums everywhere. He set off a huge discussion about the idea of collaboration among major powers for the space mission, you may have already checked it out, it has gotten an enthusiastic reception, people really are not happy about the thermonuclear war that is hanging over our heads like the Sword of Damocles. Best of the best to you and all the other No Quarterers!

I don't know if the people on this blog understand that neither Gingrich or Santorum can get enough delegates to win the nomination because their names are not on all of the state ballots. Gingrich is not on VA or MO; Santorum is not on four state ballots. Only Romney and Paul are on all 50 ballots.

Your comments are moronic. The Tea Party would not have ever come about if it wasn't for the reckless spending of government. Obama's 5 trillion dollar spending spree with no return on his investment is a prime example. The only thing stimulated were his crony friends who waxed themselves over the piles of cash that have never been accounted for, and praised Obama for their ill-begotten windfall.

It's not a theory, Einstein. Obama wasn't vetted, and it figures that an Obama voter would indicate that he was. Stupid is not just what you contemptuously describe as rednecks. Case in point... you.

Good for you. If you do I hope you'll be happy with another 4 years of the thug who's in office now. It will give the rest of us something else to b!tch about on anti-Obama blogs. You know, how people just couldn't vote for the lesser of two evils because this election is more about making themselves feel better, frick saving the country from a committed radical thug. That'll show 'em. Jeesh.

Watched a bit of Triumph of the Will. Reminded me quite a bit of the adulation that Obama received during the campaign more than anything connected with Gingrich. Given the choice of four more years of an incompetent buffoon like Obama or Gingrich, the choice is pretty clear.
