Bill Moyers had a great discussion tonight on impeachment. He did a pretty good job of playing devil’s advocate, and his two guests, one of whom has a very strong conservative history, was with the arch-conservative AEI, and actually wrote one of the articles of impeachment against Bill Clinton, did a superb job of setting the case for impeachment of Bush and Cheney. I DID almost fall out of my chair when the conservative guy, after explaining his reasons for supporting the Clinton impeachment, said that Bush’s actions were “somewhat” more alarming. SOMEWHAT more alarming than lying about fully consensual sexual activity in private between adults?! Anyway, he proceeded to make a very strong case against Bush and Cheney, and interestingly, he and the liberal guy (the one from The Nation who wrote the book
The Genius of Impeachment) agreed pretty much 100% on everything.

I wonder how many people who are opposed to the Bush regime, yet have a reasoned argument against impeachment, would be swayed by that discussion. Susan, your view would be most interesting.

Great captions. I don’t know why I am at a loss for something witty to say. I think I read a book on body language which may all be crap but this guy says body language is important (since the verbal type seems a little over his head?). I think this gesture either means he’s lying or has no respect for who ever he’s talking to. Actually, it probably means both.
