I’m freaking on the DOW closing. I sort of thought things were going to hell in a hand basket the beginning of September and got the heck out of the market. The only stock I own now is in Bud… PPl are going to drink in good times and bad! Poor auto execs, should have flown coach to beg for a bail out.

I still having thousands of people going to my clients bars and restaurants- having drinks on Friday and Saturday- getting in line for the latest movie- Now we have Linens and Things saying they are going out of business- but careerminded people know it is to close and reopen with a new federal id number and a new store. Please! After closing and showing a loss and not paying Uncle Sam- the old evil ways come out when nobody is suppose to be watching. Kmart did it, and now others are sneaky doing it and thinking “we” are not watching them. The greedy people in wallstreet are playing with our funds and our lives, while the old farmer is looking at the DOW, the foxes(retail stores-car manufactures) are stealing Uncle Sam’s money. The media is the one at fault with this- everyday for 8 years we had to hear about how bad it was in Iraq- over and over and over- Now we hear how bad our economy is doing over and over and over. I think somebody better tell the customers in Florida, they all are shopping for the holidays.

This week is option expiration week, so it tends to be more volatile, especially with the uncertainty of auto bailouts. I expect things to calm down next week.

The DOW is down because the Big 3 auto companies are not very likely to get the bailout. They pleaded with Congress again today for the second day.

I would imagine that Biden would get the job if it happened AFTER he was sworn in. If we get lucky, and it happens BEFORE, then I think the electors would have to vote for McCain because to vote for Fraudbama would be committing fraud too.

You might want to take a look at the list of Senators and members of the House who received campaign contributions from the financial industry. The democrats definitely place second.

Of course, there was nothing actually illegal about those contributions. There was nothing anyone could be convicted of.

Maybe far more republican elected officials get convicted of felonies than democrats because democrats make smarter criminals? I suppose that could always be argued.

I assure you, that SOS is a highly important and respected position. Assuming she gets/takes the position, refer to her as SOS proudly. Even in calm times it is a highly important position. In trying times like we have now, it is such an important job that anyone considered for the position should be honored that they were considered for this all important position.

Personally I’d like to see her get this job and Bill Clinton offered another prestigious position in this administration. That would make me laugh my ass off at the Clinton haters.

The problem with Dems, and this applies to PUMAs is this: It all started in 2000 when you people wouldn’t get over it. Jimbob, I’m a left-wing liberal Dem, and I voted for McCain/Palin because I saw what voting Dem this year would mean for the country and everyone living here. As far as hating what happened in 2000, yep, I still hate it. But you know a lot of folks like me worked hard for McCain/Palin to be elected. Now if more Republicans had turned out to vote we might be swearing in a war hero on Jan. 20th rather than Mr. American Idol. Still, I’m pinning a small hope on the Supreme Court and the Electoral College. I’m hoping for change in the general election results.
