Rick Santorum, Fucking Moron

Santorum is politically clueless. He had a shot at beating Romney in Michigan and being perceived as an alternative. But not now. He may very well win Michigan tonight, but it will be a tainted, tarnished victory. Why? Because he appealed to Democrats to vote for him and stop Romney. What a goddamn idiot!

Had Santorum won this thing on his own without appealing to the Dems he would have had some bragging rights. But not now. Yeah, he’ll win some delegates but so will Romney. The difference? Romney will be able to discredit any Santorum edge as a product of Democrat interference. And why do the Dems want to interfere? They recognize that Santorum is a Christian mullah running for head of the religious right madrassa in Chief. Dems want Santorum as the opponent to Obama. ‘

Santorum is the only hope left for Dems hoping to preserve the second term of Obama.

This is a godsend for Romney. Had he lost outright the Republican establishment would have been heading for the lifeboats. But not now. His strong victory in Arizona. A win in Virginia and a competitive finish in Michigan puts Romney in the lead with delegates. Far outpacing Santorum, Gingrich and Paul combined.

Way to go Rick. You idiot.

exit polls are showing that 54% of voters said economy # 1 issue; with another 24% saying that the deficit was not #.  only 14% said that abortion was their #1 issue.

maybe romney will have a better day than expected.

  • http://ptab-outoforder.blogspot.com/ Ptab01

U assume that Romney could have beat Obama out of the gate?
As i much as would like to concur . . . It is pure unadulterated speculation on your part Mr. J. Sorry. Romney has done some of his own damage … Like booking the Ford stadium for 1300 people.

      You MUST be an Obot!!!

That meeting at the Stadium was for a Michigan Business Group that has had a maximum of 3,00o members in good times. So Romney had 1/2 of them show up on short notice. And given the tight time frame for the meeting the Stadium was the only venue available.

Don’t let FACTS get in the way of your idiocy.

      • http://ptab-outoforder.blogspot.com/ Ptab01

        First and Foremost

I am MOST CERTAINLY NOT an Obama supporter.

Second, it is Politically a brain dead move to choose any venue you can not fill regardless of who the politician is and if Romney and team do not recognize it – it will be asinine mistakes like it that just make Romney look out of touch.
Please for the love of God folks- Do not support your guy soo hard that you go blind. It is too important of an election NOT get shit like that Ironed Out Now

Seriously ?? Maybe we should shoot of an email to the Romney camp suggesting they swing the campaign bus around to Hobby Lobby to pick up some of those fancy styrofoam Greek columns for the next rally. Maybe they should also get one of those rap CD”s to be on the safe side. Something with a catchy phrase like “99 problems and a bitch ain’t one of em”.

That would be hilarious so kudos to you for the abstract thinking

But seriously- the Romney camp ought to know much better than that- this is a professional team

            • Anonymous

Thank you. Glad to know people can apreciate a little levity during this silly season. Understand what you were saying about being prepared and every campaign is bound to make some mistakes along the way. I honestly think this was a last minute decision by others to change the venue rather than cancel the event. The MSM would have raised a bigger issue had he did that. So…. damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

Funny how you are so mad at Santorum. He is only doing what a big part of the Republican party wants.

You should really be mad at how weak a candidate Romney is.

Just maybe your party does not really represent you LJ any more. Maybe it is more representative of Santorum.

You cannot blame MI on the Democrats. If your man Romney was a better candidate or more appealing to the far-right of your party, it would not be so close in MI.

“Santorum is the only hope left for Dems hoping to preserve the second term of Obama.”

It looks like Obama can beat both Romney and Santorum. Both are very weak and terrible candidates.

“His strong victory in Arizona. A win in Virginia and a competitive finish in Michigan puts Romney in the lead with delegates. Far outpacing Santorum, Gingrich and Paul combined.”

I thought the sub-title of NQ was “Tired of the Spin?”. That is nice spin to put on Romney’s so far very weak performance.

He loses Iowa, barely wins Maine, does not win NH very impressively, buys both FL and NV (with a little help from Mormons in NV), may only win MI by a little, may win AR (again help from Mormons), loses CO, SC and MN.

Romney looks set to lose OH, PA, OK and GA…

So far Romney’s road to the nomination does not look all that impressive.

As I said in the other thread to Marvin — this kind of thinking/pretzel logic explains why you support Obama. It also explains why even though Obama took away habeas corpus you are skipping along acting like he’s handing out hand jobs & chocolate bars.

You are a little behind the times. Yesterday, Obama waived indefinate military detention for Americans.

        • Anonymous

Obama is the one that requested that the indefinite military detention of US citizens on American soil be written into law. Then he wrote in a signing statement claiming that he didn’t intend to ever use it. Now he is waiving the imposition of a law he requested.

I guess if you want a war with Iran and Syria vote for Barack.  Want a country overthrown? Vote for Barack. Of course thousands of black Libyans have been killed under the new and improved Arab Spring government.

Threaten Russia and China and start WWIII? Kewl.

Forget the new numbers by the CBO that put real unemployment at 15%.

Forget that our debt is greater than our GDP. Also higher than under GWB.

Black unemployment rate in this country? Higher than under GWB. So is the crime rate in the black community.

I fear for this country and my family and friends.  Blind allegiance is never good no matter the leader.

How dare Obama invoke slavery? He’s not a descendant of slaves.  There’s no record of his family supporting the Civil Rights movement.  My family did.  I’m a descendant of slaves. We actually did a family history to prove it.

This is no longer a left-right issue except for far right wing nut jobs like Santorum.

Obama is gonna win re-election.  I’ve called Pres elections for 20 years.  But when it hits the fan I don’t want to hear any complaints.

The NDAA is as bad as anything I’ve read in my lifetime.  Remember that? Obama wasn’t gonna sign it but he did. But he pinky swears he won’t use it.

      Lord help us all.

      • Anonymous

Actually Obama is the descendant of slave traders. Of course the wikipedia entry on the Luo tribe has been scrubbed of this little fact. Funny how they lie or hide everything about his past even when it’s from hundreds of years before he was born…

I hate to disagree with you Larry. But Romney pulled the same crap on 08 appealing to the Dems.  The folk in Arizona are one  tree short of a hammock anyway and unfortunately and I say again unfortunately none of this will kill either St. Rick or Noot….. Mark my words this goes to the convention…..

    • Anonymous

      You just have to ask…

If Romney can’t take care of lil Rick the “Fucking Moron” how is he supposed to deal with Obama? If we’re whining about Romney’s inability to deal with Santorum now wait until Obama’s minions dive into the Romster. They will make Santorum look like a piker.

This is another reason why I don’t think Santorum’s “extremism” is necessarily a negative. No matter who the GOP pics the Dems are going to run a very nasty campaign centered around the “extremists” in the GOP, both candidate and platform. To think that a Romney victory will prevent the Dems from running a negative campaign is foolish.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Hank-DeCat/100001190387982 Hank DeCat

Actually, whining about Romney not being able to deal with Santorum misses the forest for the trees. The ABMitt meme is part & parcel of the Obama 2012 re-election strategy. Romney has been fighting Obama, the MSM & the right-wing fringe who are stupid enough to fall for the strategy from the beginning & is, as of now, still up by 100 delegates to any of the other GOP candidates. He’s doing a pretty remarkable job, actually.

“Hell, 99% of Americans can’t remember who the winner of American Idol was from four years ago.”

That is the problem…..That is also why we continually elect the same folk again and again and again.

Rick is a loose cannon and has very poor handlers and steps all over himself as SOP. This is nothing new from Santorum he did this in DC all the time. But for Romney to defeat this guy. Romney had to again out spend him with attack adds, not out fox him. I am not surprised by this win, but I am surprised by the close call. The split in Michigan says a lot on how Romney is really perceived and how venerable he really is. My bet is he will lose MI in the general. I will be mused to watch the MA primaries…

By the way, unless the American voter is as stupid as dirt. No one is going to believe this bullshit from Romney….

“”We can’t continue to take one for the team,” Romney told more than 2,000 people in Troy Saturday. “My team is the United States of America and I’m going to fight for that team, not the partisans in Washington.

                supported a Democrat in 1992.
That year, Romney, then a registered independent, voted for former
Sen. Paul Tsongas in the 1992 Democratic presidential primary.  He told
ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, in an interview that will air Sunday on
“This Week,” that his vote was meant as a tactical maneuver aimed at
finding the weakest opponent for incumbent President George H.W. Bush.”

The Republicans are as stupid as the Democrats.  They had a guy that was leading Obama in every poll, and then they had to shit all over him.  Whoever started the meme “the anti-Romney vote” should be shot.  Romney’s staff should start putting out comments like the anti-Gingrich vote, anti-Santorum vote etc.  People believe this crap when they hear it.  I hope to God, that Romney is able to win Michigan and Arizona, to shut up  imbeciles like Hanatty, Limbaugh, Levin, and some of the commentators on Fox News.  We can’t much from CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN, since they belong to Obama and the Dems,  but when this other group starts screwing up what could be a win for the Republicans, you have to wonder what in the hell are they thinking.

The guy who started the “anti-Romney vote” would be David Axlerod and/or the “Obama 2012″ campaign. Of course the MSM pitched in too once they got their orders. The right-wingnuts fell for it because they are just as stupid as the Obama true believers who fell for Obama in 2008.

Ah, yes, a poll in February 2012 is such a good indicator of how an election 8 months later will go, we don’t even need to hold the election! Great thinking, sport — it will save taxpayers a lot of money.
And of course all those Dems voting for Santorum in MI are doing so because they just LOVE Santorum; it has nothing to do with not wanting Obama to go against Romney in the GE. Nothing to see here, just move along, we’ve got a hand job & a chocolate bar to collect.

Agreed.  I’ll be holding my nose with Romney because of his foreign policy pronouncements.  But he is proposing to do exactly what Obama is doing already.  Either way we get screwed on the foreign policy front.  I do believe Romeny is serious about trying to fix the bloat of the Federal Government.

      • Anonymous

I don’t agree with Romney’s foreign policy pronouncements but I get the feeling that the majority of politicians (supposed legislators) have the same sentiments. Unfortunately.

Romney’s seriousness abut shrinking the size and budget of the federal government has the Ds as well as the Rs freaking out. It’s one of the reasons why the base is fighting him.

    • Anonymous

I was a Democrat for a long time also. One thing I learned was how to hold my nose and vote. Look at all the Turkeys the Dems have run for President in the last 40 years. I voted for every one until 08. The only Dem to have to terms was the one the Obama supporters called a Racist and have gone out of their way to step on ever since.

We will never find a perfect candidate so I am picking the one that I think will be the best President and I will vote for him in the Primary. From there I’ll have to take it one step at a time.

In the end I think Romney will succeed and I won’t have to hold my nose too much.
