Glorioski! There’s a problem with the Clinton SOS appointment

snobbybastardThank you Lemoncake, for the tip.

What. An. Arrogant. Ass. Barack Obama is. He imagines he can control a former President of the United States. One, I might add, he is trying desperately to copy, since he has no capabilities of his own–and it seems that the only friends he has couldn’t even get a clearance to work in the White House. And appearing to be a Control Freak is the last detail that nails it: The man IS a Narcissist. Lucky us.

We already know that Barack Obama doesn’t do a thing unless it benefits Barack Obama’s Narcissistic ego, and if you are with me and my feeling that there is something stinky about Obama’s consideration of appointing Hillary as SOS, and that I don’t trust Barack Obama as far as I can throw him, you will be happy to know that Jake Tapper has this to say:

A Wrinkle in the Obama-Clinton Negotiations

November 18, 2008 9:03 PM

Behind the scenes of the Obama Transition Team’s vetting of the finances of former President Bill Clinton in order for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, to be named Secretary of State, a complication has emerged.

Sources say the complication is not what Bill Clinton is willing to disclose in terms of the people who have donated to his presidential library or his charitable organizations; those names are being provided to the Obama Transition Team, led by John Podesta, who was also Bill Clinton’s White House chief of staff.

What seems more potentially problematic is not revealing what’s happened in the past — but what the Obama Team wants to do about the future.

The view from Camp Clinton is that the Obama Team would too severely restrict what Bill Clinton is able to do to simply make a living. One source says the Obama Team seems to think it can demand that the former president abide by the restrictions put on a general government official, which just isn’t tenable.

There has even been talk of the Obama White House wanting to approve every speech the former President Gives gives, or any new source of income.

And while the former President’s team says he’s willing to disclose that information ahead of time, they aren’t willing to submit each speech opportunity for approval.

George H.W. Bush had no similar restrictions when he son was President, Clinton advocates say. Why would Bill Clinton have to stop doing what former presidents do — traveling the world, giving speeches, raising money for charitable works — when his wife is a mere Cabinet official?

The view is that this is the portfolio of a former President; to eliminate it — especially when Hillary Clinton still has more than $6 million in debt from her campaign — is unreasonable.

There has been some pushback from the Clinton Team on some of the restrictions they feel are way too severe.

None of which is to say the Obama-Clinton folks won’t be able to come to some sort of agreement. Just that it’s a bit complicated as of right now.

The Obama folks would not comment.

Ambinder reported on this tonight as well HERE.

Susan here: Did you know that you can vote for Uppity’s blog here? Aw, just shut up, Uppity. I’m promoting your blog for the award no matter what you say!

Yes, Team Token Odrama is truly the depriving of freedom of speech in America, as I have been saying for quite sometime. So, we are to believe that he will intrude on a former POTUS’ freedom of speech, but not the minions?

    Ok, Obama supporters, explain.

    I’m waiting.

    Go.

  • It’s Not Me

Holy crap….NARCISSIST IS PUTTING IT MILDLY! The nerve of that SOB. Who the hell does he think he is??? The Messiah? Didn’t we just spend 8 LONG MISERABLE FREAKIN’ YEARS enduring someone EXACTLY like this? He’s a SOCIOPATH. A textbook case…just like the Psycho-In-Chief.

  • Arabella Trefoil

This shows how really sick Obama is. How the heck is he going to be president? In my Opinion, Bush has Narcissistic Personality Disorder but it didn’t seem to keep him from functioning.

I’m no shrink, but I wonder if some people with NPD are “functional” in the way that some alcoholics are said to be functional. That is, they have the disease but they can hold down a job etc.

If Obama is going to be so paralyzed about choosing a cabinet, how will he be able to run the country? Added to that, academics have a tendency to suffer from analysis paralysis.

    Cheese and crackers.

  • Strawberrybitch

Why do people like Obama and Bush seem to get away with everything? Why can’t karma be more swift, direct and to the point? Please God, Allah, Bhudda, or (insert deity of choice here)take down this mean, vindictive piece of cat sick before it’s too late. I mean, for crying out loud, with all the people he’s screwed over, he must people standing in line to stick a knife in and twist it. Politically speaking of course. Is it too much to ask for a little accountability?

  • hedy

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t the Obama campaign say that he was the candidate of change and Hillary was the past and we didn’t need more of the Clintons in the White House!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So why is just about every appointment he has made is a former Clinton worker. Is this the change he talked about. And for him to question Bill is a joke.

  • sowsear

Many of us have been telling her to BEWARE THE PEBO.

  • stefystef

I said it from the beginning. Obama is thinking, “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer”.

I don’t think he wants any Clinton anywhere around him, but he has to make lip service because Hillary was a “team player” when he needed her. Of course, Obama can’t stand the Clintons and is trying to figure out how to marginalize them without looking like the self-centered jerk that he is.

  • beebop

This while he is nominating Penny Pritzker for Sec of Commerce? Is irony too weak a word?

  • DawnelleTIREDofSPIN

nothing is rational in Bambi’s Bizarro World

  • Arabella Trefoil

I’m starting to think that Obama is getting first-day-of school jitters.

He reminds me of a friend of mine whose family went to great lengths to get him into a prestigious medical school. (This was back in the mid 1970′s when it was very hard to get into any medical school at all.)

Guess what? The guy never even attended one class. The idea of being a doctor was one thing, the reality was another.

  • Fran

Arabella – ‘analysis paralysis’ – I like that. I have long felt that Obama is an intellectual – or as you say, more appropriately, an academic. Academics love to talk, to basically spent time throwing the bull. They make careers of it. It is what I hate about academia. (There are exceptions, but they ARE exceptions.) Obama is a prime bullsh%t& artist. Sarah Palin is the opposite – a doer. She looks for ways to find common ground and get things done.

  • Judy L. NC

Oh, crikey, I’m shocked, shocked again.

  • DawnelleTIREDofSPIN

well he may CLAIM to be some HONOR student but he’s a total FAILURE at covering up his game. We’re all ON to him. The rest will soon have no choice.

  • DawnelleTIREDofSPIN

    LOL Judy!

  • rw

Oh, curb a former President but reward this:

Daschle has been able to serve as an Obama campaign adviser because he wasn’t registered as a lobbyist, though his firm earned $3.5 million this year lobbying for the health industry, including companies such as Woonsocket, Rhode Island-based CVS/Caremark Corp. and Birmingham, Alabama-based HealthSouth Corp. The health industry accounted for 60 percent of the firm’s lobbying revenue during the first nine months of 2008. (Bloomberg)

His firm did such a nice job that Daschle gets rewarded with HHS.

  • tek

I believe this isn’t just Obama, it’s his surrogates. First of all, John Kerry must be furious that he isn’t getting this plumb position. Second, they are the Democrats who are jealous of Bill and voted to impeach him.

All I can say is that if Obama has let this go this far, and now pulls some irrational card to deprive Hillary of the appointment, there will be hell to pay.

  • sowsear

Yes, another word would be chutzpah. I sure hope someone in the Senate remembers the Subprime Queen when she comes up for confirmation. That is another crime in the making.

  • tek

I think Obama knows he wasn’t legitimately elected and he doesn’t have the experience to run the country. The dunces around him don’t have experience to run the country. They were the Dem majority before Bill Clinton got in office, didn’t do too well. Obama needs Hillary’s foreign policy knowledge just like he needs John McCain’s experience. I think he knows it.

  • Arabella Trefoil

Obama is too scared to be president. Turns out that “This is not the presidency I thought it would be.”

George Bush, as bad as he was, would at least put on a costume and act like a president. I don’t think you could get Obama to do even that. No, I am not kidding you honey. You could not get Obama to change out of that “Nation of Islam body guard suit” into “Mission Accomplished flight suit” if you tried. He does not want to be president.

He’s hoping for a snow day.

No, they’ll just say that the Clintons are prima donnas and don’t want change, can’t accept not being in charge, not team players, etc. Never will anyone say an unkind thing about PEBO.

  • tek

I think Hillary has enough sense to see through Obama. Why not dismiss Pelosi from the House? Her husband is a big businessman in SF and she pushes legislation to help him. Diane Feinstein’s husband is in the war materiel industry and got contracts from the Bush admin. Obama’s going to be sorry for tearing into the Clintons the way he has, but jealousy and fear tend to blind people from reason.

  • lark

I don’t want to defend Obama for one second so this is not a defense of anything Obama, but there are conflicts of interest related to Hillary Clinton as SoS and the fact that her husband is a former president actively engaged in many civic and world affairs and generating income from his privileged position. I think it is a problem that I do not understand from where I sit. Why is it that she doesn’t simply turn down the opportunity on account of those conflicts? She may think they can manage them successfully. What would happen if Bill’s activities compromise a delicate policy within the Obama Administration? How will that be managed?

  • WasLNbutNoBamaBotsKeepStealingMyName

    Good grief! What next?

Not that I am one bit surprised…

  • Illinois_gal

There has even been talk of the Obama White House wanting to approve every speech the former President Gives gives, or any new source of income. WTF??????? This man has lost his mind!!!!!!!!!

  • Arabella Trefoil

I want Hillary to stay in the Senate. She is my senator, and because I am a selfish pig I want her to stay where she is, working night and day on my behalf.

Whatever may happen, I trust Hillary’s judgement. She will serve her country regardless of the cost to herself. Our country needs her, but what good can she do as SOS if Obama is trying to stop her from being effective?

All this is by way of saying that if Hillary does not get SOS I will just say “Fiddle-dee-dee.”

Hillary is bigger, stronger and smarter than Obama and any of his crew. They can’t do anything to hurt her.

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

Holy CRAPOLI, Uppity! That Tappert story is astonishing. Here is this man, who has gotten everywhere he is by stepping on someone’s throat and/or cheating, and he wants to muzzle one of the best presidents we have had?

I knew there had to be some (more) ulterior motives to this whole SoS thing…This makes way more sense now.

  • LindaA1

Obama is always paralyzed about making decisions. Remember “present” votes? That is the one thing that will destroy this presidency more than anything – Obama won’t make a move until he’s confident that his decision will play favorably in his NEXT election. And if he can’t figure it out, he “passes” in one way or another.

For example: What is Obama’s response to the congratulatory/instructive letter from the President of that NOT DANGEROUS little country of IRAN? Remember that one that came on November 5, over two weeks ago? I’m betting there will never be the response Obama PROMISED on that day.

The President has to be a DECIDER. Obama is anything but.

  • jjsmoof

Yes, Karma is running way late for Bush!

  • DeniseVB

OMG…STAY in the Senate Hillary! Someone has to protect us from this nutball.

  • http://thatsmeontheleft.blogspot.com/ Puget Sound Island Girl

A swift Karma kick to the ass.

    Oh, I would like that!

  • mel

First off, how can anyone believe Tapper’s source?

If the Clinton’s refused to provide the same info for vetting over VP, what makes anyone think they will expose themselves to the Obama crooks now?

Second, it is obvious that the Obama crooks have exposed themselves simply by mentioning Hillary knowing full well that they will have total control over her and the ability to get rid of her by one slip in their opsinion of Bill speaking his mind.

Third, Hillary is most powerful to her electorates and the country in the Senate than she could ever be as SoS, “serving at the pleasure of Obama” with evil Michelle lurking in the background pulling Obama’s strings.

The only reason there is for Obama to even consider Hillary for SoS is to eliminate her from political life. Obama has to keep his support in the Senate and House in line, mainly the Kerry group and the Pelosi group, who hate the Clinton’s, if Obama is to even consider re-election in 2012.

If Hillary does become SoS, she will be gone in the first 100 days of an Obama WH!

  • beebop

Beware the PIBO … President Incomepetent Barky 0bama ….

  • hadenough

That smirking jackass tapper and doughy ambinder paint a pretty ugly picture of ‘team obama.’

    tapper:
One source says the Obama Team seems to think it can demand that the former president abide by the restrictions put on a general government official, which just isn’t tenable.

    ambinder:
Clinton’s every utterance would have to be prescreened; she would not be able to pick and choose her battles; she might be delimited by the State Department’s bureaucratic imperatives. On the other hand, it is conceivable that President Obama would hand Sen. Clinton a ticket with the words “Middle East Peace” printed on it, and say: “Go,” giving Clinton the flexibility and transitive authority to secure her place in history.

tapper says team obama wants restrictions on Bill “which just isn’t tenable.” That doesn’t sound very hopey changey. And ambinder doesn’t see any middle ground coming from obama. obama would either put his own choice for SoS in a straight jacket or let Hillary run wild.

The “liberal media” hates the Clintons so much they will destroy their own creation to get to her.

  • notrees

Obama & Co. was so eager for Hillary to drop out so they could get on with their business of conning America, but now that he has won he still can’t let her go. He needs, it seems, to keep the fight going. In short, Obama is screwed if he doesn’t have chaos and upheavel in his daily program. Maybe he is still in the gripps of his Alinski training habits and the 20 years of indoctrination from that hostile and chaotic church he attended. Time for Hillary , and Bill, to “dust him off” and get on with their lives.

  • kintheNorthwest

So if Obama wants to restrict spouses/family members of his staff in what they can say and how they make a living what does he plan to do to the citizens of America, the media and etc?

  • Steve1

Hey, I told you so…Barry Soetoro is a rotten apple! Clinton should stay as far away from that Ahole as possible! Where is the vetting of Barry Sotoro…I hope that we get some answers from the Supremes regarding is place of origin, some investigation regarding his drug use, his ties with Tony Rezko, some serious investigation regarding the allegations of Larry Sinclair, his real ties to Willaim Ayers, a bisexual. The real relationship between his campaign and Acorn, middle eastern campaign donations. His presidency will be a major nightmare for our country. I don’t care if he is the suppose first “Black prez,” No one is above the law!

  • JiffyJML

Didn’t Obama learn from the primaries that you can’t leash a Big Dawg?

  • mel

One other thing to consider, since memories seem to be extremely short.

How could Obama select Hillary for the post of SoS, when that involves a trust with foreign governments and working with so many different nationalities throughout the world?

After all, people already forgotten that the Obama camp labelled Hillary as a racist and a liar during the primaries?

So projecting Obama in selecting Hillary to the post of SoS gives the world a clear message of Obama himself, that of a lowlife politician who will destroy anyone to gain self power, hmmmm sounds like another Bush/Cheney WH!

  • kintheNorthwest

I agree where is the vetting of Obama…We know more and Obama knows more about just everyday citizens.
This has got to be the craziest election and president I have ever seen.

  • Louie

A disaster of an appointment, same with Pritzker if that is true.

    Yet he’s hesitant on Clinton?

    I smell pattern…

  • ritamary

Look at all the drama and Obama isn’t even president yet. Please, Hillary, stay in the Senate!

  • JiffyJML

In addition, he referred to her foreign policy experience as mostly “having tea” abroad.

  • mimi

He won’t be able to swing it except among the kool-aid drinking Botheads.

Once he threw her name out there he trapped himself.

The hunter, once again, gets captured by the game.

    Frankly, I’m loving it.

  • I’m a Linda too

Oops, O-shit!’s ego is going to be his own DUME! Yes, your power trip is about to cost you BIG TIME! The thought that he could place such controling demands, so the Clinton’s can again, SAVE HIS ASS, is laughable.

Walk away Hillary and don’t turn back. He needs you and if his Narcissism is getting in the way of thinking clear, let him be his own demise-as he is on course to do.

  • Louie

He would have to adopt the diplomatic position, wouldn’t he?

Meaning he retains the right to criticize certainly, but not undermine, and certainly, if there were THAT much disagreement about a policy, it would warrant something more than what’s being offered.

Why would Bill work to undermine his wife?

And if would, that says something else.

I agree, someone is in WAY over their head, here.

  • Sassy

Apparently the “O” is going to force everyone, past and present, to choose him over the Clintons!
As I have stated several times before, this would be a mistake for Senator Clinton. AND, the world still loves Bill, and want to see and hear him!
Why in hell they would take this crap from a lowly piece of sh-t is beyond me!
What ever game is being played, any one with grit would deal themselves out!
Tell him to STUFF it Hillary!

  • notrees

Obama will have so many people from the Clinton administration under him that all he needs is Hillary and Bill and he will be directing the entire Clinton administration, the Clinton presidency. Next he will be appointing Lewinski and Paula Jones to cabinet positions. :) . The guy is more than a half bubble off.

Obama an academic/intellectual????? He has written nothing and has made no contribution to any academic field. Intellectual implies some degree of intelligence…he talks a lot but says nothing…He is the prime example of the old saying:”It’s the empty wagon that rattles loudest.”

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Actually he is cooperating now, Mel. I wrote this piece the day before yesterday. But now Hillary is not so sure she wants the job…will have to give up her independence. She COULD be fired by The One you know. I wouldn’t want my future in HIS hands. Especially since I’m a woman.

On Fox this morning, they are saying the Obama camp is whining about the “leak” that she is being considered. And of course, that’s probably Hillary’s fault too.

Personally, I wouldn’t take a job under that slimeball. I wouldn’t give him the time of day with his own watch if I were she.

She is her own person in the senate. I guess Caroline would have to go find another way to become an instant senator after having done literally nothing for America.

  • I’m a Linda too

And, it sure looks like O-shit! is starting his Socialism and “spreading the wealth” starting with his hero, Bill Clinton.

Isn’t it typical of a Narcissist? They try to cover their own weaknesses by making others pay for theirs. W did it with sending the National Guard to Iraq and now O-shit! is doing it with his idol, the man he admired even his speaking skills so much he tried to copy. The man that did such a good job, he belittled his 2 terms and then goes on to hire so many of his own staff, right down to the AG. And now he wants to start his control and spreading other peoples money around.

  • Idiocracy08

I with you Uppity, something is fishy. Especially when the republicans want her as SOS.
    My 2 theories:

    1) No intention of picking her…just wants to rumage through her & Bill’s stuff – hoping to find something. Or does pick her, then smears her. Bottom line, to get her out of the Senate.

    2) Bill found Obama’s real BC and made him put his people in office.

The 2nd one is just a dream. I wouldn’t mind Bill being the puppetmaster to Obama.

  • AnninCA

I wondered. Thanks for the update.

Obama just made his first really stupid mistake. Bill just roped the dope.

Just because Bobo is trying to control Bill doesn’t mean he’s going to toss the Hillary nom away. The media seems to be putting every impediment they can possibly dream of into the path of Hillary being SoS, running wildly with every silly rumor and speculation! Bobo certainly doesn’t want Bill running around the world undermining him, now does he?! And God knows he could! The best thing Bobo can do for the sake of the party and his Presidency is bring the Clintons into the fold. My guess is that Bill is uncontrollable, no matter what promises he makes. And what can Bobo do if Hillary is SoS–fire her and have Bill and every Clintonista in the world out decrying his action, making him look like a vindictive, bumbling fool?

  • oowawa

this man, who has gotten everywhere he is by stepping on someone’s throat

Yes Rev. Amy, it is sometimes hard to see the benevolent side of O’s nature. In fact, there have been people on this blog who have compared Mr. O to that guy in Germany (gee, I guess maybe I’ve been guilty of that). Others point out that this comparison is unfair, because the guy in Germany was guilty of genocide, whereas Mr. O was never involved in this activity (maybe his cousin Odinga, but that’s another story).
I would like to suggest another analogy for Mr. O’s character: Hannibal Lecter of Silence of the Lambs. Oh, I know, some will say my analogy is rude and over-the-top, that Hannibal Lector ate people, whereas the President Elect does not do this. However, if you look at it figuratively and count the bodies under the bus,
and consider the use-and-dispose-of mentality of Mr. O, his anthropophagic tendencies are quite evident. Senator Kerry and Governor Richardson were both apparently baited with the SoS job, and later rejected. This man may promise you a lot. but will not hesitate to consume you. Beware Hillary, run away, you will eventually be eaten.

  • andrew191

I like the idea of dumping Pelosi and Feinstein, and if this new policy could then extend to Jimmy Carter (bind and gag him to shut him up once and for all), there could be some merit to it.

Seriously, some time back my very first posting on a blog was in response to an article that discussed the possibility that Obama was a Narcissist. I wrote that for a long time I felt like Cassandra because nobody would believe me when I told them that Obama was the poster child for NPD. Lately people are finally beginning to listen. Obama cannot maintain the serene facade much longer, his current behavior will hopefully shake many supporters out of their trance so that they can see his true colors.

Anyone that Obama brings into his circle will have to quickly learn to be the lowest form of sycophant toady or they’ll be tossed in short order. My guess is that most of the sacking will take place within the first six months with the explanation being that Obama is just trying to find the right fit. He can’t have anyone with a big ego in his circle, that sort of eliminates the Clintons.

The Obama Doctrine, “Drama, Drama, Drama”.

  • calli not your sweeti

Yeah, it’s starting to look like a classic Obama bait and switch on Hillary. They wanted to “vet” her and Bill to find dirt to get rid of both of them and to disgrace the former president (hey, there can only be ONE star in the democratic party)! If Team Obama really wanted Hillary she would be SOS by now. This is starting to look like another set up, put Hillary up on the pedestal and then push it over and watch it come crashing down. How can Penny Pritzker not be a problem but Hillary is? Obama is going to have a really hard time making it through the first 100 days before he has a major melt down. Will the MSM show us Obama smoking like a fiend?

  • Johnny Gentle

LMFAO!! Hows that Whitey Tape coming, oh bigotted xenophobe community of noquarter?!? LMFAO!!!!

You forget this is Obama we’re talking about.

That one…that said he could get Hillary’s voters, but she couldn’t get his?

Obama is so high on himself, he doesn’t have to do crack anymore to catch a buzz. I wouldn’t be surprised if he thought he was the only one that could reign Bill in.

I don’t think Barack cares about the Clintonistas in the world. What am I saying? Of course he doesn’t!

  • AnninCA

Not unless he’s truly stupid, he doesn’t.

Bill has made it pretty clear that he’s just a good-ole-boy who hasn’t a single problem with going to bat for his wife.

He’ll skewer Obama like a worm on a hook.

And, Bill Clinton has more political savvy in his little finger than Obama yet has dreamed of having.

Obama is a mass guy. Bill? Bill knows how to plant the seed, tend the plant, water, move it to sunshine, and if Obama Team thought that they faced the REAL Clinton power in the primaries, well…they are very, very wrong.

  • Louie

It was my opinion, through all the smoke, Clinton won the primary, would have won the general election.

Best Obama deal in truth, Bush and Cheney never could.

Meaning he didn’t get where he was based on his intrinsic talents.

Whe faced with a crisis, I hope he doesn’t turn to the people who make him feel comfortable, as opposed to those able to do battle (on the real front), it’s a little bit more complex than Daley, and Chicago.

If he turns to those who make him feel secure, he will simply be Bush 3…

  • tek

Don’t throw water on a great perk for HIl. she couldn’t possibly have any more conflicts than every other Democrat in the New Democrat organization.

  • Louie

You ARE predictable, if somewhat thick.

  • tek

    right, and how ’bout Meechelle?

  • Amazonia

Obama is using the “vetting” excuse just to get his nose into the inside information of Hillary’s and Bill’s financial and political affairs, then BO will turn around and work on neutralizing Bill’s donors to his Foundation and fire Hillary if she accepts the SOS position.
I hope Hillary and Pres. Bill see through this and I sincerely hope Sen. Clinton does not take the SOS position.

I think that Pritzker woman would not even pass the first layer of vetting if BO were really looking for decent, able people to lead this nation. Why? Because the “leader” himself has “no clothes”

  • AnninCA

I’m not sure I’m following your thinking. Why would he do that?

Bill’s foundation has nothing to do with Obama.

  • Idiocracy08

why would he be wanting decent people around him? he never cared about it before.

  • Idiocracy08

I think Obama has a wierd hatred for the Clintons. He complained right off the bat about Bill not changing things, but Reagan did.

I think like calli not your sweeti said, he wants to be the ONE star of the democrats, and the Clintons are standing in his way.

Also, if he does something that turns out bad, do you really think we will EVER hear from Obama “the buck stops here”? Nope, he’s finding people already to blame.

It would be an easier decision for Hillary to make if she knew who Obama was appointing to the National Security Advisor position and to Secretary of Defense. If it appeared to be a no-win situation where she would be sniped at or controlled (attempted to control) by these other officials, she could/should stay in her current position.

So if she takes the job gives up her seat, and then get fired she no longer has a political career….

Hey I guess Obama is not so dumb after all—-What a great way to get rid of Hillary….

I hope Hillary is much smarter.

  • Masha

And may I just pose the question… who has vetted the vettors?

  • kintheNorthwest

    very good question

  • workingclass artist

Thanks Rob…I responded to your singular…chuckle…implication about Barky and his singular….ehemmm…qualities…(the SUN article )
BTW…Some men are born that way ( my own dad was and he fathered 10 although only 6 survived pregnancy…Irish/Catholic….gave me a chuckle )

Be nice, Johnny, and we’ll let you play with the rabbits.

If the muzzle was never slapped on Jimmy Carter, no muzzle can possibly exist.

This is absurd. If President Clinton goes around saying things or associating with people that undermine his wife as SoS, then she is going to get in his face like nobody’s business. If President Clinton causes great conflicts of interest with the administration, then President Obama can fire Hillary as SoS. The situation polices itself.

Obama needs to let a former two-term president exercise his own judgement with regard to his own activities and how they impact the United States and it’s leadership. Unless, of course, he wants to set them both up so he can knock them both down simultaneously. I can’t imagine BO would do that.

  • oowawa

Thank you Rob G for this scoop from The Sun, a revelation that the guy from Germany was at best half an Uebermensch, a Hemi-Superman, a Halbuebermensch:

Until now there has never been complete proof Hitler was monorchic – the medical term for having one testicle.

As for whether or not this characteristic is shared by Mr. O, well, I guess we’d have to ask . . . No, I’d better not go there. I personally doubt he is “monorchic,” though he certainly has pretensions of being “monarchic,” and “half-nuts” would be a measured description.

  • RAG DOLL

Pritzker took herself out of the running for Commerce Secretary. She could not pass the vetting and admitted it. None of those friends of Obamas will be able to go through the vetting process and
get clearance. Isn’t that just plain amazing bullshit. Obama makes me want to puke. I hope Hillary does not accept SOS, I think she is making a huge mistake if she does. Now Obama is saying that Hillary might be setting him up to look stupid, more bullshit but go Hillary, I hope you do set him up. He deserves it – Let Judas Richardson be appt. SOS. The only thing is our country’s security is at stake. A tough call here for our girl Hillary.

  • TheAntiBigot

Nation of Islam body Guard suit?

How much bitter hatred do you have of America and its new President?

  • Buck O’Fama

ROLC, you got that exactly right (no pun intended.) If there ever was an ex-prez that SHOULD be told to shut-the-eff-up, it was JEC. This is just the latest absurdity in what will probably be a long list of absurdities occurring over the next 4 years. Welcome to Obamaland, everyone! Keep your ass-hat handy because it’s gonna be raining sh*t soon!

  • Northwest rain

My theory — he has the “fragile male syndrome” — Big ears and ——— are symptoms.

He hasn’t released more than a one page summary of his medical history — why?

Could it be that the reason he demands detailed information from others is because he knows what he is hiding.

  • Northwest rain

Indeed — the creepiness of the 0 gang — welcome to Chicago politics.

Obama projects onto others his own crimes of omission. The sucker was never vetted.

  • Kal

And how many times has this bait and switch been done re Hillary? With the same old lines, no less!

    Repetitive abuse syndrome, imho.

  • bemused

All along, what he really wanted was the notice and the excitement of moving up. Not the responsibility. Now that he’s at the top, what’s left but try to control people? Probably a feeble thrill, controlling Bill, after getting elected, but still. I don’t think this is going to work very well at this level though. Now he’s with bigger boys of different leagues and they aren’t going to kiss his *** for future perks when he’s president, they’re going to expect the perks right now and start kicking his *** if they don’t get them. I can’t wait. There are petards and boobies standing by them all over the place, and Bill isn’t one of them.

  • nayak

Pelosi doesn’t matter, because she is a legislator – thought you guys understood separation of powers? Vetting must be as thorough as possible. Nop use having nasty surprises. And FYI, Pritzker has stepped aside after the vetting threw up some hard to ignore facts. That is how vetting is supposed to work. Bill doesn’t get a free ride just because he is a former Prez. Get that straight. Obama is going to be Prez effective 1/20/09, and he can’t be too cautious. Get used to a different dispensation folks! No one gets a free pass. This is not Bushland and this is no time for triangulation.

  • Hillary_for_president

nObama is a hustler and the Clintons need to stay far away from him. He has ulterior motives. He wants to control them..Pelousy controls nObama and she wants to control the Clintons…Back away Hillary. He is a snake.
nObama stole this election from Hillary and then McCain with Acorn votes.

That is how vetting is supposed to work

Where is nObama’s Original copy of his birth certificate?
    Where are nObama’s school transcripts?
Why hasn’t nObama been vetted for the highest job in USA? WHY?

  • pagar

“Get that straight. Obama is going to be Prez effective 1/20/09, and he can’t be too cautious.”

He doesn’t want to make the one who sent him mad, and the American people are not the one who sent him, IMO.

The fact that Obama has never been vetted makes the entire vetting process a bad joke.

  • KintheNorthwest

Hey Obama is the first black man elected for President. We are supposed to just sit back and be thrilled that the US is no longer racist..
You dont want to be call racist do you.
Heaven forbid anyone ask any type of personal question of Obama, much less ask for legitimate documentation for the answers…….

Aint it great to have a Black President that we cannot vet????

  • RebelCarol

John Kerry must be furious that he isn’t getting this plumb position.

    From the Boston Globe
WASHINGTON: More than three decades after he first appeared before the panel as a 27-year-old Vietnam veteran-turned-antiwar protester, Senator John F. Kerry will be named chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, giving him enormous influence over President-elect Barack Obama’s foreign policy, according to congressional officials.
