Have we forgotten that Obama is untrustworthy? That he is a misogynyst and a sexist? That he is unprepared to be president? That he’s a corrupt Chicago politican? What’s going on here that people actualy want Hillary to cover this man’s mistakes. Let him fail – spectacularly so that we can get on with cleaning up the mess of this country. SOS has NO power. If you think they do, then you’re ready to buy that bridge in Brooklyn. They serve at the pleasure of the Resident (I copied that clever little word) and are fired at the whim of the Resident. We are in an economic catastrophe in this country. Why doesn’t this dimwit announce his economic team and his secretary of the treasury and thereby soothe Wall Street? Wag the Dog anyone?

Actually Tek, that’s not quite true. There are certain political things the Monarch really cannot do. But if you look at the Monarch and his family and how it impacted Great Britain during WWII, you would realize that whether it’s a figurehead position so to speak, or not the throne also carries a lot of responsibilities. People looked to the king and his family during WWII to keep going, not just Winston Churchill.

I generally post late and I doubt if many people actually see these posts, but here goes: I don’t feel safe or unsafe simply because some individual is the secretary of state. It’s the president who sets the agenda. I don’t care if Jesus himself was the secretary of state or Buddha or fill in the blank, with Obama as the CIC it’s a crap shoot.

Many many people ponder buying a business who can barely afford to support themselves. Isnt that the American dream for many people to have their own business. So Joe expressed his dream in other terms and got slandered for it.

What is interesting I have a feeling that after all the publicity he probably will now or soon have the money to buy a business….

As this is an open thread, I thought I’d just sound out a new script I’m writing:

In it, appearing unprepared for the dissolution of the USSR, the CIA sets up a troll where it makes Russia and the American treasonous right wing think they’ve achieved victory, setting up a face off against one another.

Hilarity, and broken teeth, result as the two dumbest mofos on the face of the earth square off, in the process destroying BOTH their bases, but also touching lives, as brave American men and women are affected in this battle of the oh, witless kooks.

I will bill it as the biggest clandestine operation since “Charlie Wilson’s War” or something of the sort, a sort of Rambo for the smart set, where US world strategic dominance is achieved through intelligence, unquestionably, defeating the reds, and their dirty commie corporate American benefactors.

Or something like that .

Are action/espionage movies still selling?

Last time I checked, the market was slowing.

I’ll have to speak to my producer friend.

I dunno, I’m think Carl Reiner, and “the russians are coming” crossed with one of those Harrison Ford type thrillers, crossed with a William Goldman script.

Hillary should stay in the Senate-where she still has a bright future. The Obamas and the Clintons hate each other-how hard is it predict the end of this tedious story if she gives him a chance to end it on his terms.

Additionally I’m a great believer in looking at the obvious. Obama obviously is not interested in helping the Clintons so why is he giving Hillary a plum position? He must desperately want her out of the Senate. If he is so scared of her being there then her power there must be even greater than people know. Stay Hillary stay!

I want a Hillary that is going to run for president in 2012, I know Obama is trying to shut her and Bill up, get into their business and use anything and everything against them.
He is contemptible.
He wants Hillary in a position where she must do and say as he commands, he wants to be able to shut Bill up, take away his opinions and Hillary’s too.
If Hillary takes SOS, her power is gone. Health-care, her baby since Bill was president, is gone.
I don’t want Hillary or Bill to ever have their voices muted. What they have to say is vitally important to our country. Obama doesnt want them to have any power whatsoever, any voice whatsoever.
Obama wants to completely control the Clinton’s, I pray God that Hillary does not fall for yet another of Obama’s sleazy plans.
He hates them because we love them.

I’m in agreement, Galt. I doubt this issue has been resolved in the slightest. That One (TM) had an opportunity to put all this to rest simply by giving the court a certified copy. Why all the lawyers and obfuscation? Something is quite rotten here and it reeks.
