Indulge me . I have West-Wing-itis

I never got to see the original run of West Wing because I was working too many hours to watch it even if I’d taped it. Single mom-hood is quite something. Got really burned out too, not a good thing.

Here is one of the great blessings of having a bad back — I HAVE to lie down but now I get to watch these incredible episodes. I have watched some of them THREE TIMES within a two-month period. I just watch them over and over and over and over. I laugh at the funny scenes more, not less, each time.

    Sadly, I think that more poeple know the details of this T.V. show more than they know the essential details about our REAL government and the REAL politicians they vote for. We’ve all seen the rampant ignorance that thrust an essentially fictional character into the Whitehouse. The MSM has done a remarkable job of blurring the distiction between fiction and fact. More people recognise Judge Judy than Judge Ginsberg.

    Perhaps a reality show along the lines of the Osborns or Hulk Hogans Family that monitored the Obamas would be the most educational and revealing programming for the new generation. Keep your air sickness bag handy.

    …but he’s not in the White House yet! Send this comment to members of the Electoral College in your state. Explain to them that this man is so adept at concealing his true identity, despite Herculean efforts, no one has been able to establish he is even eligible for office!

    I agree with you! I love love love the first three seasons of West Wing (all I have seen). I have them on dvd and watch them a lot. The cast of characters, actors and writing was just so darn good.

    I really liked the father-daughter scene. Hilarious.

    Speaking of not so hilarious, Sarah Palin messed up again. She pardoned a turkey and gave a press conference. Alas, RIGHT behind her was the turkey kill station, which continued doing its *gobble, gobble* job while she waxed on about various issues.

    It’s pretty grim.

    She’s going to really have to sharpen up her game.

    How I loved West Wing…I still miss it. But, then last year, I became addicted to The Tudors on Showtime. Now, I’ve waited for six months for the re-runs of last year’s episodes to begin in February ’09 and the new season to begin at the end of March ’09.

    Gotta get a life…

    Bartlett was my President during the first Bush term. It helped me ignore the nightmare on PA Ave…

    Loved the show and wish they’d slowed down the term and let it run for 8 years!
