Why god why … why can’t it be November already? I say we don’t need the conventions. We don’t need the debates. We don’t need any more campaign speeches. We just need to vote. Like yesterday already. Oh, the video: Do stick this video out through Barnacle’s comments about Europe … yeah, even if you have to listen to Mika the OFA Addict who’s as bad at defending Obama as she is at attacking Romney:

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

That Joe is one loquacious Southerner, isn’t he. Mika. She’s hopeless. I mean as a morning host. Her sneering, her I’m-better-than-you airs, her reflexive contempt for anyone else’s views — except for her White House puppet-masters. Ugh. I like Barnacle though. And he has my sympathies because Mika loves to put him down — for superficial things, like the shirt or jacket he might be wearing. Willie Geist is a quick study. Remember when he was just Tucker Carlson’s sidekick, and famous for nothing but that his dad was a respected CBS newsman? He was funnier back then.

But for those of us who can’t seem to sleep like other people do, it’s good to have that show as an option at 3 a.m. PT.

Quick! Let’s talk about something great. Look. Even that big, plump, warm-hearted Midwest state is ready. Where MARGE lives! Via Memeorandum:

Rasmussen Reports:
Wisconsin: Romney 47%, Obama 44% — Mitt Romney now leads President Obama for the first time in Wisconsin where the president’s support has fallen to its lowest level to date. — The latest Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey of Likely Voters shows Romney with 47% of the vote to Obama’s 44%. …

Yeah. Let’s vote now!

Damn it, June. Why can’t you be November?

Not steak and martinis, but stuck them with the tab, nevertheless!

The president’s Father’s Day lunch yesterday was not hiccup-free, per ABC News:
Amid the bustle of President Barack Obama’s surprise stop for barbecue Wednesday, the White House apparently overlooked one key detail: the bill.Celebrating Father’s Day early, the president had lunch with two service members and two local barbers at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill.As the group chatted about fatherhood, the president enjoyed a steaming plate of pork ribs with hot sauce, collard greens, red beans and rice and cornbread. The bill for the president and his four guests was $55.58, but was left unpaid at the point of sale, according to pool reports. The White House corrected the oversight and settled up the tab by the end of the business day.

Wonder if this oversight will make it to a campaign ad soon.  Idiot.  His ‘team’ was in such a hurry to dump the dads and move on to greener pastures.

It does seem that Obama supporters are getting more and more desperate in the tone of their communications.  Even on NQ, the OBorg are becoming increasingly shrill.  If I didn’t know better, I would think that Larry was moonlighting as an Oborg on his own blog:)

  • Retired_from_SPOnaj

There is only one solution to our problems–the Obama solution.  Barack Obama has been using it since his teens, and it makes all problems go away.  It’s called Choom, and it is now the solution of choice in the Oval Office, which the President and his advisors call Cloud Nine.
The Temptations did a song about Cloud Nine.  Here’s a music video that captures the power of the Obama Cloud Nine  solution:

    • Flop_Flipper

That’s a really crappy version of an otherwise awesome song. The Temptations are one of my favorite groups and have been since I was a child. This dude sucks!

I actually prefer George Harrison’s Cloud Nine.

No one can blame Obama’s incompetency on marijuana. Obama IS a dope. A hope dope, if you will. He doesn’t need to partake of anything external to get that way.

Love those Rasmussen reports. Why is it that they always tend to show much better results for the GOP versus all other polls?
Actually if the vote was held today there is a very very good chance Obama wins. He is leading in many of the key battle ground states.
However, always like you Obama haters to want to cut short the term of our duly elected President.
Given that we have no idea what Romney is all about or what his policy prescriptions are, we need 6 months and debates to really understand what Romney is saying and what he wants to do?
We need to get past all the BS that we see in place like NQ and actually compare the plan of each candidate for the future. So far we have nothing out of Romney, so the next six months will do us good.

    • FormerLib160

Hell, Obama’s been in office 3 1/2 years and we STILL don’t know what “his policy prescriptions are.”

Even with his trusted TOTUS, WE STILL DON”T KNOW.

    • Hokma

Rasmussen along with Gallup have been proven to be the most reliable polls. For a long time Rasmussen daily tracking showed Obama to be very popular at the start of his term.

Obama is losing out in most battleground states and where was ahead he is losing ground fast – and it is only June.

This election will be about the economy and it is obvious to most Americans that Obama is lost and has no answers – and the answers he has provided have been self-serving and detrimental to our welfare.

      • lola828

Rasmussen reliable. My ass. Analysis has shown that that polling company is completely bias. Google it. They play lots of games.

” obvious to most Americans that Obama is lost and has no answers”

That is bullshit. Obama won the popular vote in 2008 by 53%. He is polling not to far from that.

Your moron candidate has said that he would have let both the auto sector fall into complete bankruptcy and liquidity and that he would have let the real estate market completely freefall with no support. If we had done that where do you think the economy would be right now? We would be completely fucked. 15% unemployment instead of 8%.

The election will be about who has the better plan for the future. The majority of the U.S. population does not blame Obama for the economy or recession. Most blame Bush, as they should.

        • Hokma

“Analysis has shown that that polling company is completely bias.”

“Google it?” You half-wit. By whom? Nate Silver and the NY Times? Jerk.

“He is polling not to far from that. ”

You need to get out of the basement and catch up with the news moron.

“he would have let both the auto sector fall into complete bankruptcy and liquidity and that he would have let the real estate market completely freefall with no support”

Okay dimwit. I’ll let you provide me with the SPECIFIC quotes to support such an ignorant comment.

“We would be completely fucked. 15% unemployment instead of 8%.”

And you have support for that claim?

Look lola, or lala or ppaa, or scottymac or whatever you call yourself today stop posting here just to be disruptive and without a shred of support for your obviously ignorant and uninformed claims. Or just go back to your basement where your mother keeps you.

  • KWynne

    Hey Bronwyn,

Your post is excellent but, with all due respect, I totally disagree with you about Mika being the only over-the-top obama defender on Morning Joe.  Both Barnackle and Willie are just as bad at defending obama and do so at every opportunity.  Sometimes, even Joe seems afraid to speak up too much about the boobery of obama, but the rest of them are always looking for an opportunity to make excuses for obama and attack Romney.

I would feel alot better about your analysis of the Morning Joe crew if you didn’t just pick on the ONLY woman on the show.  Let us not forget that more often than not, the boyz constantly intererupt Ms. Brezinski and don’t let her finish a thought even what they insist on saying isn’t some earth shattering thought either.  None of them are objective when it comes to obama and the boyz step all over themselves making excuses or giving a pass to obama and they are rude ONLY, it seems, to Mika when they do so.

Sexism comes in many shapes and forms and can be almost imperctive and it’s just as wrong when it’s done to Mika as it is when it’s Hillary or Sarah or Bachmann.

    • Dissentispatriotic

Mika is obnoxious in her over the top support.  Yes, Willie is likely a supporter but he’s nowhere near as bad as she. Barnacle can be measured and while he may be more inclined to vote Obama than Romney, he still calls it pretty straightforward when he sees a screw up.  Mika is not a victim here.  She is a co-host knowing full well that’s the schtick – the push-pull between her and Joe.  She’s been there 5 years and could have walked long ago if she feels victimized.  She still sits there and collects a pretty penny.

      • KWynne

I can’t stand Mika and I’m not calling her a victim!

However, I am stating that both Willie and Barnacle have been (maybe not as much lately since obama has proven to be a disaster), just as bad as Mika and I refuse to give them a pass, which is what we witness everytime men and women are involved in a controversial subject.  As usual, it’s always much more convenient to focus on the woman to be deserving of all the criticisms, while complacently ignoring the complicity of the dominant males on the show in being just as abnoxious.

Also, surely you cannot ignore and also give a pass to the rudeness expressed daily by these guys toward Mika with their constant interruptions and dominating the discussion (if you can call it that) with their incessant pontification.  Their arrogance is quite evident and as a woman, I know very well when the boyz are pushing the woman aside in order to assert their much more informed opinion than that of the lone woman on the show.

The MSM, pundits and obama supporters envoked the same kinds of arguments against Hillary and Sarah, while excusing the boyz behavior.  I’m not ever going to stand on the sidelines and remain quiet just because it’s being done to a woman I absolutely do not like.  It’s sexist behavior no matter how you try to spin it.

  • foxyladi14

It is going to be a landslide.

  • Flop_Flipper

Well….. it seems that unemployment numbers have jumped up again. Not very good news for anyone. Of course the Dems will claim that they are making progress. If this is progress I would hate to see regression.

  • DianaLC

I rewatched the video.  The question about whether the “blame Bush” meme will resonate or not made me say, “NO.”  I don’t think it will even resonate with some of the Dem base.  Watching the comments on The Five yesterday about the upcoming special on  “41’s” life.  Remember the things GW has quietly done for the troops–all the stories of his visits with Laura to the nearby airports to greet returning troops, to visit injured at Ft. Hood, etc., has done much to, in many ways, raise him in the eyes of the nation.  They know he is to blame for overspending on Iraq especially.  But the other thing they know is that he does seem to care for the safety of the young people he sent into harm’s way.  Obama shows no emotional connection to the troops, IMO.

Devastating Blaze Video: Progressive Americans Grade President Obama

  • Flop_Flipper

As a matter of preserving my sanity, I don’t tune into shows like this. Mika comes off as a mean person when her guy isn’t doing well. The contempt she has for anything not Barack is obvious in her body language and mannerisms. It’s like she is the mother borg. Or perhaps that would be Valerie Jarret.

I remember watching Barnacle way back when he would appear on the MacNeil Lehrer News Hour. Of course I don’t even watch that program anymore even though it used to be like my daily bread.

I’m excited about Wisconsin and a few other states where Obama is going to get a rude awakening in November. Our country has had enough with lies and broken promises. We need a fixer and Mitt’s the guy to fix it.

I’m with you wishing this nightmare would already be over. But I do delight in watching the Obama Lib machine fall to pieces in front of our eyes. It’s a satisfying experience that I wouldn’t trade for an early November. Watching Van Mittsing drive a wooden stake through the cold black heart of Barackula will be worth the wait.

  • no_longer_a_democrat

The martini line is SOOOOOOOOO stupid.

Dr. Krautmanner who I normally don’t listen to had a rebuttal that is 99% closer to the truth…
“Krauthammer said Obama’s analogy is false because what he actually did was sit down at the table as President and proceed to “order steak and martinis for the next 1,000 days and sends you and I the bill.”

Krauthammer said Americans won’t buy Obama’s latest whining “blame Bush” attempt because, “there’s a kind of psychological statute of limitations on whining.””

(also guess who’s sitting next to Dr. K??  Jeff Zeleny of the NYT, not familiar? he’s the idiot who asked his dear Messaih Barry, “what part of your job enchants you?”)

    • HoosierinDixie

LMAO…….After giving his steak and martini analogy,  Obama holds a “responsible dads lunch” then runs out before paying the check.

  • KenoshaMarge

Was surprised by Wisconsin now even leaning Romney’s way. We haven’t given our electoral votes to a Republican since Romney. And Obama “won” Wisconsin by 14 points in 2008.

Still, too early to count chickens. Right now a lot of Wisconsin voters are still pi$$ed off by the now-stop elections we’ve had since 2010. Many who should be in the Obama camp are pi$$ed off by his no-show for Barrett.

Many of those are pi$$ed off by Obama’s pathetic excuse for not showing up. He was just to0 busy. Right. flying over and around Wisconsin for fundraisers.

He really does think you obots are that stupid. He may end up finding out that you aren’t. That would surprise him. It would surprise me more.

Right now my concern is for the Senate. I am supporting Mark Neumann. I chose Scott Walker over Neumann for Governor in the GOP primary in 2010 but it was a close call. One I am now sure was the right one.

I think Neumann is far and away the best choice to beat far lefty Tammy Baldwin. Certainly not that old retread Tommy Thompson!

If Wisconsin actually went for Romney that would be some delicious icing on my cake!

Obama Trade Document Leaked, Revealing New Corporate Powers And Broken Campaign Promises

Under the agreement currently being advocated by the Obama administration, American corporations would continue to be subject to domestic laws and regulations on the environment, banking and other issues. But foreign corporations operating within the U.S. would be permitted to appeal key American legal or regulatory rulings to an international tribunal. That international tribunal would be granted the power to overrule American law and impose trade sanctions on the United States for failing to abide by its rulings.

The terms run contrary to campaign promises issued by Obama and the Democratic Party during the 2008 campaign.

“We will not negotiate bilateral trade agreements that stop the government from protecting the environment, food safety, or the health of its citizens; give greater rights to foreign investors than to U.S. investors; require the privatization of our vital public services; or prevent developing country governments from adopting humanitarian licensing policies to improve access to life-saving medications,” reads the campaign document.

  • jrterrier

Mika is getting ridiculous.  It probably reflects how badly things are for Pres Obama.  The worse it gets, the angrier she gets.

    • BronwynsHarbor

Yeah.  She is getting crankier and crankier.  Didn’t notice her staring at her Blackberry like she usually does so that the White House (Valerie Jarrett?) can tell her what to say on camera. (Yes, she has consistently done that every day for every segment that is political in nature.  She pauses, reads, then looks up and regurgitates what she was told by BO’s WH staff.)

      • Dissentispatriotic

It’s so transparent, isn’t it?  Mika dialing in for talking points.  Hope its dawning on her that she may lose her vaunted status (NOT!) as an inner circle person, her dad may not have his platform to discuss views or his books, and her brother will be replaced as ambassador  in whatever foreign country to which he was dispatched.  The ivory tower is crumbling and she’s getting irate.

        • KenoshaMarge

The few, and far between, honest columns and programs from the biased MSM that contain snips of non-praise for Obama show that it may be dawning on some of them that their bias will put them on the outside looking in with a Romney Administration.

I wonder if that will lead to a less biased MSM or if it will lead to a worse bias because of fear. This should be interesting. Popcorn anyone?

          • Dissentispatriotic

You know, they’d be wise to begin to objectively report the situation.  Those cheerleaders who are so rigid they can’t face or speak the truth will have egg all over their faces if he is not re-elected.  Those who are at least honest will remain as credible.

          • no_longer_a_democrat

nope. They don’t really see them as reporters.  As a recent independent, I remember when I was glad that the LSM went after Bush on any abuses of power, looking back, the LSM went overboard in many cases, at the time I never saw it that way.

Then came Barry, 99% of the LSM voted for him, they coddle him, run interference for him, lie for him. These people aren’t “reporters”, the are just an extension of his administration, once in a while they throw a bone of dissention to look “independent”, but these bozos are not.

The purpose of a vibrant media is to question everyone in power, not just when conservatives are in power.

          • elizabethrc

For that to happen they’ll need to rid themselves of the unprincipled crew: Matthews, Maddow, Schultz on MSNBC and Lemon and O’Brien on CNN.  That’s just for starters.

      • elizabethrc

Can anyone tell me just what Mika’s qualifications are to be giving opinions on anything political?
Anything other than that her father was in somebody’s cabinet decades ago?
That group are too afraid to let anyone with cajones come on because Mika would be demolished, as well she should be.  Instead, they all seem to pacify her and think she’s a sweet little sidekick.
So’s my dog, but I don’t ask his opinion.  Come to think of it, maybe I should.  It would undoubtedly have more weight than anything coming out of Mika’s mouth.

Here’s a simple arithmetic question: A bat and ball cost a dollar and ten cents. The bat costs a dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

The vast majority of people respond quickly and confidently, insisting the ball costs ten cents. This answer is both obvious and wrong. (The correct answer is five cents for the ball and a dollar and five cents for the bat.)

For more than five decades, Daniel Kahneman, a Nobel Laureate and professor of psychology at Princeton, has been asking questions like this and analyzing our answers. …

    • lola828

Yes Obama should run on his record. It is quite a good one.

      > brought the economy back from a freefall
      > stabilitzed the U.S. financial system
      > the U.S. is now the fastest growing country among developed Western countries.
      > the employment picture has dramatically improved; gone from losing 750,000 jobs a month to creating 150,000 a month; unemployment rate has fallen from near 10% and without government employee layoffs, would be closer to 7%
      > saved the massive auto sector and 1 million jobs
      > created +4 million private sector jobs since the bottom of the recession
      > stabilized the housing market, with prices now increasing
      > limted government spending, where now the deficit is beginning to fall, particularly as tax revenues are coming back after falling during recession
      > enacted the most significant and important healthcare reform in a few generations, which will eventually put +30 mm people on health insurance and help the deficit (according to CBO); same healthcare reform that Romney did
      > signed the most signiciant nuclear disarmament agreement since Reagan
      > completely ended the war in Iraq
      > put us on a path to end the war in Afghanistan
      > protected the U.S. with no serious terrorist attacks
      > taken out most of Al Qaeda’s leadership, including Bin Laden
      > most important woman’s legislation in Lebetter Act in a couple of decades
      > ended DADT
      > biggest financial sector reform in a generation, including many new consumer protections.
      > passed Hate Crime bill
      > new support programs for veterans
      > expanded CHIP for childrens health
      > stimulus bill was 40% tax cuts (taxes are at the lowest level ever for both individuals and corporations) and provide important funding to states which protected a lot of teachers, police, firefighters, etc.
      > etc. etc. etc.

Significant achievements in a very short three year, with zero help but only obstruction from Republicans.

You apparently don’t read and keep up with current events.

Without any prompting Obama is making one major campaign mistake after another. He was a mistake and more and more major Democrats know it and are admitting to it.

The end will be the 3 debates. Obama is incapable of debating without a teleprompter and Romney will clean his clock.

Obama is done. It will not even be a close election and could be as bad as the trouncing McGovern received by Nixon.

        • lola828

Hokma you are always an empty suit. You never comeback with any meaningless replies. You just talk a good or rather bad game.

Complicit in the deaths of more Africans than any US President in recent history.

Butchering of Gaddafi Is America’s Crime
by BAR executive editor Glen Ford

Last week the whole world saw, and every
decent soul recoiled, at the true face of NATO’s
answer to the Arab Spring. An elderly, helpless
prisoner struggled to maintain his dignity in a
screaming swirl of savages, one of whom thrusts a
        knife [4] up his rectum.

        Nearly eight
months of incessant bombing by the air forces of nations
that account for 70 percent of the world’s weapons
spending, all culminating in the gang-bang slaughter of
Moammar Gaddafi, his son Mutassim and his
military chief of staff, outside Sirte. The NATO-armed
bands then displayed the battered corpses for days in
Misurata – the city that had earlier made good on its
vow to “purge Black skin” through the massacre and
dispersal of 30,000 darker residents of nearby Tawurgha
        – before disposing of the bodies in an unknown location.
