    The New York Slimes..
    Pathetic!!

Alternate media such as NQ are rapidly replacing dinosaur medium such as this.

    • socalannie

So true. I stopped reading the NYS this past summer, and I had been a regular reader for years. They lost their soul…and their common sense, objectivity, etc.

  • socalannie

I love thenoseonyourface obamessiah videos. Hilarious! Gave me a lot of laughs over the summer.

You might want to keep the clearly off topic comments to the nearest thread marked as open. I’m sure the admin will be grateful.

the final nail in the coffin of the NYT was Bob “i see penis” herbert’s column trying to explain what Barack Really Meant™ when he american’s bitter bible / gun clinging racists…

the nytimes is a fucking joke…

    seriously… what a bunch of clowns…

i will never read that trash again…

You should really warn people when you link those outside links. I was drinking a soda and now my screen is decorated and needs to be cleaned when I saw the picture of MSNBC Lollipop Guild. Those guys are hilarious.

I think the same people who own the NYT’s has to own the LAT’s as well. This could pass for their job application. They’ve totally become worthless over the past couple years. I canceled my subscription to that mess during the primaries and want nothing more to do with them.

I don’t usually read the NYT or the Guardian, the Nation, etc but every now & then I think it’s good to check out different viewpoints & not just get hung up in an echo chamber. Cable news is not news, just a series of talk shows…it’s difficult to get the news & that’s disconcerting. Most outlets focus on the same stories but with different spin. A war of the spinners & they pick the topics. Weird.

At least the NYT did not publish crap about a whitey tape and a fraud birth certificate and all the other information obtained from “reliable ” sources.

    • beebop

No. Of course not. It just ignored anything that might look inconvenient. Must have been that pesky “deadline” thingy. Wise.Up.A**hole.

    • fif

No, they just published lies about WMD fed to them through Dick Cheney’s office, and then Cheney would go on the talk shows and point to the Times as evidence that WMD’s existed. They were largely responsible for the legitimacy of the war–along with Colin Powell’s dog & pony show at the UN.

Papers do not have the revenues for investigative reporters anymore, so they don’t actually have “sources.” Step away from the Kool Aid–it rots the analytical brain.

My post was not to defend the NYT as much as to point out the crap that gets posted here as well.

NYT, like USA, no longer the power player.

When the bottom line is the profit margin, the print line becomes more palatable to the conformists!

Funny that..thanks. Can’t get the shirt as it clashes with my catholic saint bonanza collection…chuckle…

I stopped reading the NYT long ago (but I do like their fashion section). Ditto for our local papers, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Daily News. I do like The New York Post (they have the best sports pages around) and their political cartoons are hilarious. That said, I get most of my news from alternate media.
