MEMORANDUM

To:                 Interested Parties
From:             Matt Rhoades, Campaign Manager
Re:                 America’s Comeback Team
Date:             8/17/2012

Tomorrow marks a week since Mitt Romney announced his choice of Congressman Paul Ryan to join him on America’s Comeback Team, and it’s clear that his choice has reshaped the race in a positive way.  The Obama team’s increasing vitriol is a sure sign that they’re rattled by the pick.  Unable to engage in an elevated policy debate, they’ve spent the past few days drowning in their own venom.

Since the announcement in Norfolk, Virginia on Saturday:

President Obama is on defense over his $716 billion raid of current Medicare beneficiaries to pay for Obamacare, and allowing the hospital trust fund to go broke by the time those aged 50 or below are Medicare eligible.  The political director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee warned this week that the issue could cost Democrats the election.

At the same time, the Romney Plan for a Stronger Middle Class is gaining traction.  Voters in the swing states believe that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan have a better plan than Barack Obama and Joe Biden “to reduce the deficit, create jobs and get the economy moving.”[1]

Polling data shows Romney gaining since the announcement.  Both Gallup and Rasmussen show us leading Obama in national polling, and recent statewide polling shows us picking up ground in Ohio and Virginia.

While President Obama’s team continues its campaign of frustration and division to distract voters from his failed record, the Romney-Ryan team will continue offering solutions to the challenges facing our nation.  America is ready for a comeback and if this past week is any indication, America’s comeback will begin on November 6th

They have nothing else, and I guess they
can’t see how much they at setting race relations back.

We have Toure, a lunatic commentator on MSNBC stating that Mitt Romney’s passionate (and righteous) condemnation of the Obama campaign’s tactics are actually secret, dog whistle code words for racism. He called it the niggerization of Obama. As if the guy needed any help.

It should be mentioned that Toure uses a single name to distinguish himself, like Madonna or Cher. Nuff said. But since his actual, real last name is Neblett, I can see why he would leave that last part off. I’ve read a lot of rumors that claim that as a child and well on into manhood his nickname was Niblett. At first this was just a play on words but as soon as he started dating “women” it became their pet name for his genitalia. But I’ve been unable to confirm this.

Like Obama, he supposedly attended Columbia University. He managed to do so after dropping out of Emory University while a junior, four years earlier. His claim to fame came when he wrote “The Sad, Sweet Story of Sugar Lips Shinehot, the Man With the Portable Promised Land.” It’s the story of a saxophonist that finds the Promised Land when he suddenly is unable to see “white people” any longer. So as you can see, he is just the least bit influenced, if not obsessed with race. His race. All white people that aren’t on MSNBC or aren’t Democrats, socialists and/or commies MUST be racists.

    • HObama HObamanana

I’m not sure whether this ad makes me more ill or more infuriated. Probably both. But at least it’s honest because that is their endgame strategy. It’s always about playing the race card because Obama is half black. Worse still, the strategy might work because the Democrats have done a good job of hiding from their racist roots and managing to champion obvious unfair quota systems that ignore merit and lower qualification standards which Republicans rightly oppose, only to be labeled racists for doing so.

Who supported slavery and started a viscous Civil War to maintain it? Democrats

Who created the Jim Crow laws? Democrats

Who fought against the Civil Rights Act? Democrats, until strong armed by President Johnson who knew where the skeletons in their closets were hiding. Still, only 60% of Congressional Democrats supported it.

      Who are the real racists?

Obama’s notion that government, rather than people, creates prosperity
is not only an insult to every hardworking American, it is the
subversion of the individual. If your success is the result of someone
else, then you are nothing more than an expendable cog in the wheel. On a
fundamental level, you no longer bring value to society other than
taking up the space government provides you.

  • Popsmoke

It is sad enough the both sides are spinning lies. Sadder are the brainless followers who drink this crap…

Hey Pop. Haven’t checked in for a while for the very reason you just stated.

Some New York State politicians are not going to attend the Convention. The excuses range all over the place, but this is not good news. Sure, NY is (to my utter shame) a blue state, but the fact that local politicians know that they must AVOID Obama is a big story.
Uh, I have to go dedicate a new overpass over the Quickway. Yeah, that’s what we call Route 17 out here. No, no, no I’m in western New York. Google it, I don’t have time to explain … I’m losing my cell phone connection …. hello?

    • Retired_from_SPOnaj

The House Minority Leader ordered them to stay away from the convention, and they are just obeying her orders. Her reasoning is that more Dems will get elected to the House if they distance themselves from Obama, and she may regain the Speakership. Meltdown.

      • arabella_trefoil

        Yep. That’s the reason.

      • foxyladi14

        In her dreams.lolollolol

    • Hokma

      Monroe, Monticello or Ithaca, Binghamton?

What NY Dems are not attending that you heard of? Steven Israel (downstate NY congressman and head of Dem congressional elections) said it was okay not to go.

      • arabella_trefoil

        http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/17/nyregion/new-york-democrats-steering-clear-of-national-convention.html
“The four incumbent Democrats facing the toughest challenges in New York — Representatives Bishop, Hochul and Owens, as well as Representative Louise M. Slaughter of Rochester — are all skipping the convention, which begins Sept. 4 in Charlotte, N.C. ”
Partial list. Also the timing of the convention is crappy because it overlaps with a lot of seasonal greet and meet events. Plus we just had a court ordered redistricting meaning that the politicians have to win over people who have never heard of them. But I’m betting lots of people will wind up with last minute “emergencies.”

    • getfitnow

Just a few weeks ago, after several congress critters, from other states, said they weren’t attending, Pelosi made a statement that she thought they should stay in their districts.

As far as I know, this is historic!
I thought both conventions were considered Big Effin Deals to the parties.
