the cartoon’s illumination of how much a background check costs the govt. since the bushies now pretty much ‘outsource’ their background checks to ‘private firms’, the prices have skyrocketed. no longer ‘experienced’ tenured govt. employees doing the backgrounds, but private firms who may have only hired their background investigation personnel just a few days before. and the 64 dollar question — who does the background backgrounder’s background investigation? somebody just initials off their background investigation without the required foot work. hmmmmm……..

don’t ya just luv national security under the outsourced bushies? makes ya feel all warm and fuzzy doesn’t it.

Out sourced to the very enemies the Bushies so decry. Orientalism.

I’m just glad they didn’t let that Ay-Rab in, because we can’t have people working in intelligence who may understand what al Qaeda is saying. Because Bush says al Qaeda isn’t important, except when Chertoff’s gut says otherwise, especially right before elections.

Inter-personal managerial are an issue across all industries, but I have found that “little Hitlers” often make a beeline for one or other of the services. Those who don’t resign add to value to a culture of intollerance.

Interestingly (or not, as the case may be) I have a greater propensity for racism in ethnic communities. The Jews may be continually blamed for favouritism & secularisation, but everyone’s doing it. Ethinic pride is merely an agressive form of racism. Borat’s movie which took the p*ss out of American “etiquette” also exposed an absolute “fear of the stranger” throughout all (that were in view) echilons of society. Borat in his neo-sexual, intimate out reaching Messaic expressions of love was met with hate and hostility. That is the United States of American with the cover ripped off.
