    Today almosts seems like the day after a big party. Anti-climatic.

    1. The Mother Jones gotcha tapes turn out to be selectively edited and for all of the media hysteria, actually helped Romney.

    2. The media now “discovers” Obama’s lifelong Marxist and Socialist beliefs that we here at NoQuarterUSA have been writing about since 2008. Wonder what they’ll next make of his Socialist Party and New Party endorsements? His work with Farrakhan? And, wow, maybe they’ll even “discover” his ties to anti-American terrorism and hate of William Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright, both personal friends of Obama for around 20 years.

    3. The media seems a bit confused about the Middle East. They don’t want to admit being lied to by Obama and his administration but what else do they call it?

    By the way, why was our UN ambassador speading on the Middle East instead of Hillary Clinton. What happened to Hillary?

      I think she wants no part of it. Rice is going to replace her which I am sure Sen Kerry is not happy.

      What I saw was a very upset Hillary Clinton who thought she would wind down her SoS tenure on a positive note and then all hell broke loose. She knows this was on her watch and will be the lasting memory of her tenure.

      I also think there is more to this that we do not know that concerns internal decisions that maybe were beyond her control.

      And she know that with this event her chances of a run in 4 years just got knocked down because she did not answer the 3 AM phone call well.

        Concerning your second paragraph, I think you are on to something. I base this on the sudden attempt on the part of Democrats to blame this on the fiscally responsible Republicans for cutting Embassy funding. What is missing from this picture, as it always is, is who is the dude that signed these measures into law? I think his name begins with an O or something like that.

      Pardon my pessimism, but I just checked the ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX and Politico websites and NONE of them are headlining that the tapes were selectively edited or missing the whole conversation. Some prominent GOP politicians (Martinez for one) are distancing themselves from how the Democrats define what Mitt said which implies that that is how they interpret what he said. Except FOX, I don’t see mention of the Redistribution Obama comments. Perhaps I am not looking very hard.

      If we had a real media they would be hitting the Obama Administration very hard concerning the ME and demanding answers for why 4 Americans were not provided adequate security when it was widely known that there were threats, bad people had bad weapons and there had been previous attacks recently. But we don’t have a real media. We have a robust blogosphere and that’s about it.

      I can’t speak for why Hillary was not speaking about the ME. I can guess that she didn’t want to go on national television and lie her ass off. Again.

    If I were Romney I would blinders on and launch into his lines in the sand comments about the Middle East and about the economy.

    Even among the 47% he spoke about most do not want to be there and want a job – a good paying job – a chance at a business. They want to be self-reliant and not depend on the government for anything.

    Obama created this 47% – he peddles his snake oil to them – and cares less about their plight and only ares about their vote.

    And let these past 4 years be a lesson that you cannot take a lightweight state senator who votes present with no management experience at all and expect him to handle the office of President.

    It really doesn’t matter how many experts agree with Romney’s plan. It does matter whether the American people agree with it. And that’s the rub. Obama has been busy defining Romney while Mitt is playing it safe. And Laura Ingram is right. Romney needs to explain his position in a way that ordinary people understand. Saying that there is a fundamental difference doesn’t explain very much and people already know there is a fundamental difference between the candidates and the parties. What is missing is WHY citizens should chose Romney’s fundamental difference.

    Microsoft has screwed up big time. There is a huge security leak they found in Internet Explorer 9 but they haven’t fixed it. They claim that IE 10 doesn’t have the problem but it is in developmental stages. The reason Windows is more prone to attack than Mac is because more people use it so the folks creating all the nasty viruses, worms and other bad stuff have concentrated on it. Any computer operating system can be hacked. And I’m sure Google is not trying to push people into using their Chrome browser at all. Nope.

    Romney’s campaign is in debt because they borrowed from the general election funds when they ran low on primary funds. No great big deal.

      Yes, there is a faction that seems bent on helping Obama win re-election because Romney is Mormon and not, in their eyes, conservative enough. Some think that him being a former governor of Massachusetts is immediately disqualifying. A shame. If Romney loses these conservatives will have only themselves to blame.

    I told a friend in NYC I was voting for RR and I’d voted for McCain. She said, “wow, you’re a conservative!” I said no, I’m a liberal.

    I’m an HIV/AIDS activist in NY. When I was in college in the
    mid-70s, NYC went virtually bankrupt and was put into receivership under the Municipal Assistance Corporation (MAC). MAC successfully avoided a fiscal catastrophe in the nation’s largest city. Several years later, AIDS hit NYC.

    How would a fiscally crippled NYC have coped with AIDS? if MAC had not averted bankruptcy, the city would be like Death In Venice to the 100th power. Today, entitlements are a big part of NY’s HIV containment strategy: get people tested, provide primary care and medication to HIV+ people, regardless of ability to pay, to reduce viral loads – an HIV+ person in primary care is far less likely to infect others. Fact: A bankrupt NYC could not do this. So multiply AIDS death, suffering and social destabilization by the bankruptcy factor – the nightmare we experienced would look like Shangri-la compared to AIDS in a bankrupt New York.

    I see Romney-Ryan doing for the U.S. what MAC did for NYC.

      Exceptional analysis.

      A sound and growing economy can easily afford to be a safety net as well as a healer.

      From the mid-1980s to the mid 1990s I knew three men who succumbed to HIV/AIDS. I never saw 3 people suffer so much but do it with so much strength and courage.

      I don’t see much about it anymore so I assume what they developed over the years has been effective in combating and controlling it.

    Fox News has obtained a three-page intelligence report showing that two days before the deadly attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, a statement incited “sons of Egypt” to pressure America to release the so-called blind sheikh “even if it requires burning the embassy down with everyone in it.”

      I have not seen this before. There are many others found in 2008 that were ignored. The media will say this is old news, even if “discovered” now. Whatever. It all helps explain Obama. I bet we’ll see more coming out in the next few weeks. Romney and his super PACs are not going to ignore this like Hillary and McCain did to their defeat.

      Yes, this is much as Larry has commented on when he called Susan Rice a liar earlier this week. The Obama administration is full of incompetence from Obama on down to think that they can do nothing, lie about it, and think no one will notice or care. In this case, four people died.

        I was just reflecting on when Susan Rice was nominated for her current position and why she was the only one out doing the “pretzel logic” dance on the Sunday Obama propaganda shows.
        When she was nominated, it became clear that she was the face of the White House policy shop and it was an end run around the State Dept. So much so that Hillary Clinton was not the one Rice would answer to. It was rather ugly and a sign of things to come.
        People forget Obama’s fiasco in Honduras, openly suppoting the over through of a democratically elected government, contrary to the SCOTUS of Honduras…even then Hillary was the last to find out about it….I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that it was Susan Rice who gave her the news that she had been publically PUNKED by her boss and had to support a position that was contrary to international law and the US Constitution.

    It certainly appears as if the truth coming out tonight demonstrates that, at a minimum, the Department of Homeland Security was well aware of a threat to the Cairo Embassy. And it would seem reasonable to assume that since the leader of the Cairo demonstrations is the brother of the head of Al Qaeda and he admitted that he had not even seen the video then the video is not the impetus for the demonstrations.

    It always bothers me during a press “briefing” when a reporter asks a question to Carney that he is uncomfortable answering he will say something like If you are asking (fill in the talking point) then yes Obama (emphasize the talking point). Just once I’d like to see a reporter respond to such deflections by saying that he probably didn’t understand the question so he will repeat it speaking very slowly or with a Chris Tucker like question: Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?

    Carney’s response to the questions about Obama’s redistribution comments was that the Romney campaign was desperate so they were digging up something Obama said a long time ago to change the subject. I suppose it never occurred to Carney that the Obama campaign dug up something Romney said back in May to distract people from the responsibility Obama neglects to assume for the deaths of 4 Americans in Libya.

    One thing that the Romney camp could benefit from is pointing out that Obama and the so-called media spent more time talking about him than those murdered Americans.

    Who’s playing politics with this situation? Obama and the media. They still think we’re too stupid to notice.

    Many former Obama supporters are fed up. Those of us that warned he would be a disaster were ignored. His disparaging of certain groups of Americans as bitter clingers. Hillary in real code speak – a real TV round table by Obama supporting media discussing if a woman is a bitch shouldn’t we call her one?

    Mitt should point out his lack of compassion and failure to point out that there was no Oval Office moment where Obama reassured the American people and laid out a strategy for protecting our civilians or government employees abroad.

    Those coalitions are enough to make sure he’s not re- elected..

    Mitt Romney as the evil rich guy ain’t working, After all the Obama’s take vacations in locations that costs tens of thousands of dollars.

    Obama used an Official Presidential plane to fly his wife to a “date”.

    I remember the Obama’s saying that we should not take vacations in this bad economy. I guess Martha’s Vineyard hanging out with the super rich, to the tune of tens of thousands, doesn’t count.

    I don’t think when it comes to swanning around as a rich person either of the Obama’s has a leg to stand on.

    Romney needs to point this out when Obama and his bought and paid for media bring up the “he’s rich” meme.

    Jobless claims were 382,000 last week and, as usual, the Labor Department, revised upward the previous week by 3,000. Thus, the four week running have has jobless claims rising 2,000, the highest since June and continuing the non-stop historic high umemployment under the Obama administration. This alone should doom Obama’s re-election.
