Devils of Tehran and the Obama Vision

My best information is that an Israeli attack would not be against the nuke fuel facilities, which are hardened sites, but rather against the leadership — a decap strike.

Spoke to Larry Kudlow, CNBC Kudlow Report, in re the threat of the rogue regime of Tehran. Does the Obama administration take the Tehran threat seriously? Yes.

Does the Obama administration have a plan to confront Iran? Not a military plan. There are plenty of military contingencies to respond to the threat of Iran making war on its neighbors.

However, POTUS Obama has a vision of himself as the peacemaker who will travel to Iran to shake the hands of the Devils of Tehran led by the Supreme Leader in the same fashion that Richard Nixon traveled to Beijing to meet with the Devils led by Mao.

The violent events of these last years have not changed POTUS Obama’s ambition.

I am blunt when I tell Larry Kudlow that the only future for the rogue regime in Tehran is off the planet. There is general expectation of an imminent conflict in the Gulf, perhaps triggered by the Syrian crisis, perhaps ignited by an Israeli strike of some kind.

My best information is that an Israeli attack would not be against the nuke fuel facilities, which are hardened sites, but rather against the leadership — a decap strike. At the same time, my information is that POTUS Obama is persuaded that the US can lead from behind in Syria by providing support for a Turkish incursion on the Syrian border that creates safe zones for the mercenaries called the Free Syrian Army.

I mention to Larry Kudlow that Ahmadhinejad will now shuffle off the state, to be replaced in the Spring by a new member of the Supreme Leader’s gang.

My dry close to Mr. Kudlow — that the future for the Tehran regime is off the planet –surprised me when I said it. Perhaps I was already anticipating my conversation later in the evening with David Livingston, the Space Show, and Bob Anderson of JPL about Curiosity’s progress in the Gale Crater of Mars, well off our Planet Earth.

Lesson learned is that metaphors are loaded weapons.

    We’ve added
California, New York and Illinois to our rolling swing state average so
we can keep Obama’s lead roughly the same.

Those 3 states are clearly O states? They would probably have advantage O. That is truly “partisan polling”.

VA: Military absentee ballots going AWOL in 2012

A 92 percent drop in absentee-ballot requests by military personnel in Virginia is raising concerns that the Pentagon is failing to carry out a federal voting law.

Compiling data from Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Ohio, Alaska, Colorado and Nevada, Eversole’s organization found that military families have requested 55,510 absentee ballots so far this year.

That’s a sharp decline from the 166,252 sought in those states in 2008.

How many military are still posted overseas compared to 2008?

And Israel is not attacking anything until after our election? Did Obama threaten to cut off all aid?

    • elizabethrc

Would that be good or bad for Obama? I’ve heard that Americans rally around a president during a time of war. Also hear the opposite. It certainly would shoot the heck out of his Arab Spring drivel. So much for his grand powers of persuasion in the ME (or anywhere else).

I think it’s good for Obama, I think it’s what he wants. He wants to be the hero of this story. On the other hand, Romney is supposed to be a personal friend of Netanyahu. Here’s Romney’s editorial from yesterday evening in the WSJ:

If the rabid comments (from both sides) are an indication, this planet is in deep shit. And if there’s a real “silent and sane majority” out there in America, I hope they open their mouths soon.

        • elizabethrc

The only poll I believe still has integrity is Rasmussen. I want so to believe that the ‘silent majority’ is out there, disregarding the idiotic talking heads in the media and preparing for a Nov. 6th surprise for Obama. If what I’m hearing all around me and seeing (no bumper stickers for Obama) is any indication, that blessed majority may be what saves this country.

Ha. I`ve been saying for years to take out the leadership. I guarantee the ones taking their place will be more receptive to talks.

Imagine if we could have taken out Hitler in the thirty`s.
