Spoke to Larry Kudlow, CNBC Kudlow Report, in re the threat of the rogue regime of Tehran. Does the Obama administration take the Tehran threat seriously? Yes.
Does the Obama administration have a plan to confront Iran? Not a military plan. There are plenty of military contingencies to respond to the threat of Iran making war on its neighbors.
However, POTUS Obama has a vision of himself as the peacemaker who will travel to Iran to shake the hands of the Devils of Tehran led by the Supreme Leader in the same fashion that Richard Nixon traveled to Beijing to meet with the Devils led by Mao.
The violent events of these last years have not changed POTUS Obama’s ambition.
I am blunt when I tell Larry Kudlow that the only future for the rogue regime in Tehran is off the planet. There is general expectation of an imminent conflict in the Gulf, perhaps triggered by the Syrian crisis, perhaps ignited by an Israeli strike of some kind.
My best information is that an Israeli attack would not be against the nuke fuel facilities, which are hardened sites, but rather against the leadership — a decap strike. At the same time, my information is that POTUS Obama is persuaded that the US can lead from behind in Syria by providing support for a Turkish incursion on the Syrian border that creates safe zones for the mercenaries called the Free Syrian Army.
I mention to Larry Kudlow that Ahmadhinejad will now shuffle off the state, to be replaced in the Spring by a new member of the Supreme Leader’s gang.
My dry close to Mr. Kudlow — that the future for the Tehran regime is off the planet –surprised me when I said it. Perhaps I was already anticipating my conversation later in the evening with David Livingston, the Space Show, and Bob Anderson of JPL about Curiosity’s progress in the Gale Crater of Mars, well off our Planet Earth.
