Well, I’ll be … Chuck Todd is Right? [Update]

“Cause I’m leaving on a jet plane, don’t know when I’ll be back again …”

(Four years, Chuck? Next time, get in the LEFT line, right where you belong.)

Larry Johnson wrote: “Immediately to my right (on the other side of the security line) was F. Chuck Todd, oblivious to all around him, talking on the phone. I heard him say, “Yeah, Obama’s numbers are collapsing.” — Larry Johnson is our eye- and ear-witness, Post Debate Media Depression. And you, Governor Romney? You’re right where you belong:

That’s it, folks!

Oh, there are so many electoral maps for October 23rd! Check these out … it’s amazing what some very clever people are thinking up. I opted for the Real Clear Politics image because it fit best on our site and it was the most readable, and had ALL the information your big hearts could desire.

Don’t forget: MITT ROMNEY. Check him once, check him twice … except these days we can use Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX!

UPDATE! Here’s the other half of the Real Clear Politics map. I enlarged the image to make it easier to read, but it’s a bit fuzzy …

… Third time’s the charm … a little private joke …

Read that Gloria Allred had met with Obama just prior to revealing (or trying to reveal) her October surprise.

She is trying to get a court in Boston to unseal divorce records of the Staples CEO. Romney testified as to the value of the stock. His ex-wife is represented by Allred who claims she was screwed out of money (she had 250,000 shares). The effort to paint Romney as anti-woamn with this revelation.

If it is unsealed it will not be the first time Axelgrease and Obama used unsealing divorce records to win elections. They did to Blair Hull to win the U.S. Senate nomination and to Jack Ryan, the GOP candidate and heavily favored to win, to get the seat.

If Allred is successful, expect Obama to be slammed with what thet did in Chicago and blunt its impact and maybe finish him off.

    • KataKimbe

Why would any reasonable Judge, if impartial, allow these records to be unsealed at this very time? But then again, it’s Liberal Mass and he could be a buddy of that Native American woman Warner…

    • beachnan

This is a non-issue. I think if they go ahead, it will make Obama and the libs look bad. Can’t win on his record-he doesn’t deserve to win.

      • MarkFtLaud

thank you. who cares. we have bigger issues.

    • http://twitter.com/beyondpartisan beyond partisan

Breibart has the woman’s own words here – and WOW does she sounds absolutely off her rocker!!

      http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/24/Allreds-Client-Anti-Mormon-Bigot-Seeking-Money

If that’s the best Allred can do, Romney is going to walk into an easy victory.

      • HoosierinDixie

I saw this article earlier today and I wonder why she is trying to get the records unsealed now when she has been mouthing off for years on Huffington Post. I don’t see this helping Obama nor hurting Romney at all.

  • Popsmoke

Its going to be a squeaker and even a possible replay of 2000… On the FP side…

    • TeakWoodKite

“The presidential debate was also a major plus for Israel. If there was any daylight between Obama and Israel, it closed rapidly in the exchange.”.
I disagree. The facts are the facts. Obama is no friend of Israel and only a fool would say otherwise. Romney is quite clear on his position regarding Israel…
What does this have to do with the race being close?

      • Popsmoke

        Teak,
Your no dope. Obama is no different than any other. You know we do not have a defense pack signed with Israel. Even without a treaty they get more than other non treaty nations.
Israel nor any other foreign govt should be a focus in our election process. But unlike many others Israel blatenly imposes itself into our process. The fact? Please Teak…

        • TeakWoodKite

Yes, I am aware we do not have a Mutual Defense Pack with Israel. At most we have an agricutural exchange the last time I looked.
I respectfully disagree that Foriegn Policy doesn’t have a direct bearing on who I should choose to vote for. If you are saying that other governments should not attempt to influence our elections perhaps so, but that it nieve to think that they do not. Given that. Obama is very different than “any other”. He is the first president to represent Islamic interests over that of the United States. Or do you think that promoting the “insult to Islam” meme like “any other” Allah fearin Jihadist only wishes he could do over protecting out Ambassador and other Americans.
I understand your concern about who Romney’s FP “advisors” are but in the end I would rather support Israel, warts and all, than any other theocratic muslim country.
Does supplying weapons to those who are on record as wanting to kill us mean that it should not be a factor in who I vote for?
Obama made this mess. He is the one that is inviting UN observers to “watch” our elections. Iran is palying him like a oud.
          http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmGQ6YIv0_Q

          • HoosierinDixie

Well said Teak. We also can’t blame Israel when Putin, Chavez and Castro openingly endorse Obama for president. We can’t blame Israel when a UN official openingly tells Americans not to vote for Romney. We can’t blame Israel when UN representatives are seeking access to our polling places even as we have laws on the books that prevent foriegn interference. We can’t blame Israel when Obama’s own website omits the means to identify and prevent foreign donations. ETC.ETC.ETC….

      • MarkFtLaud

Absolutely. They are dead meat with this muslim loving anti American President. Disgusting. I will now bow to the Muslim Brotherhood of the 7th Century. Then I will beat my wife.

      • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

After Obama’s rant about the undying love for Israel exhibited by his 2008 trip; did Romney mention that this visit occurred while he was still a U.S. Senator, and that the love appears to have ended once he was elected President?

        • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

Seriously, does anyone know the answer to this question? (Unfortunately, I wasn’t evenly attentive throughout the debate…)

  • beachnan

Romney has a lead in Virginia, so where are they getting their stats? The mood in the country has shifted and more and more people are saying to me-we need a change, I say it every opportunity I have with my clients. It’s a little risky to bring up politics, but I defnitely see a trend. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    • Retired_from_SPOnaj

Isn’t Obama the hope and change candidate? Oh, wait, that was 2008. Now he’s the “let’s stay the course” guy.

      • TeakWoodKite

That might work if he knew how to read a compass or sextant.

    • MarkFtLaud

VA, FL, CO ours at 257. With NH @ 261. Here is a surprise the 2nd congressional district of Maine…1…262. Need 8.

  • HELENK2
    • TeakWoodKite

Quick call OSHA . Obama Sharia Harrasment Attorneys

  • Hokma

I don’t know what that map is based on but Romney leads in NH, Virginia, Colorado.

Obama is running out of states to hold on to. Todd sees the handwriting on the wall.

Obama is under 50% and the independent swing voters have now seen the real Romney and are comfortable with him as the alternative to the failed Obama.

Understand the polls are based on past voting patterns and 2008 and even 2004 are irrelevant. So most polls are greatly understating Romney’s strength.

With the revelations of Benghazi I don’t think most Americans feel they can trust Obama anymore. I think Romney knew this was coming and chose not to engage in it at the debate and just let events sink Obama.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/ND2FCCGVV2IZTTAZQTXKJTCPNI Ruth

yes the polls and projections about the states are mostly based on flawed numbers giving democrats the edge. which is why i said trust yourself rather than flawed polls and predictions that simply aren’t true.

      • MarkFtLaud

True. Most if not all except Ras. over sample Demos.

    • beachnan

Thanks Hokma, that’s what I was trying to say, but it didn’t print. Romney is ahead. in those three states you mentioned. Surprise, surprise, they can’t help themselves as trying to portray a prettier picture for Obama than exists.

      • MarkFtLaud

Beachnan, Larry was the 1st to reveal to the public the internal Democratic polls when as the Operative he is “overheard” NBC’s mainass say “Obama’s numbers crumbling” prior to his Tues 11a flight. Thats what let me sleep.

    • piattq

I think you are on to something. The other shoe to drop is the question in American minds—why did they not try to help these men as they were being overwhelmed and killed.

  • HELENK2
  • HELENK2

has Larry recovered from the plane trip from hell with all the crying drunks?. But but but backtrack promised me a unicorn and now I may not have a job on tv anymore. the feeling in my leg in not a tingle it is a bit wet

Larry, inform us of your flight….

Minnesota and New Mexico as “leaning, likely Democrat.” I live in New Mexico, and am from Minnesota. I would love to see hell totally freeze over at -500 C and these states go red, but, like I say, it’s hell freezing over.

it simply follows if the polls are not reliable how come we “rely” on the electorial predictions????????????????????? they don’t tell the truth. Use common sense. What does the lack of obama bumper sticker and yard signs tell you? what do the huge numbers waiting in line to see romeny/ryan tell you? what does your own outrage about the criminal behavior of this administration tell you? i assume that many feel the way i do and go with that.

    • TeakWoodKite

More telling is no bumber stickers are disappering or being torn off, like happen to me in 08 while docked for supplies in a big box parking lot.

      • MarkFtLaud

Very telling. I’m in liberal east Ft. Lauderdale. I’m stressed to the max. 4 years of stress about to explode.

  • http://www.facebook.com/mary.cusack Mary Cusack

we’re getting new hampshire. if we get Penn, bye bye bamma

    • MarkFtLaud

if we get NH we are at 261…add 1 from Maine and we are at 262 and only need 8….

    • TeakWoodKite

      ?
Looking at RCP UNH had Obama +9 on the 22nd and today Romney is up +2 by Rasmussen. Discounting the wind gusts of the poll, that’s an eleven point spread in two days. I wouldn’t count that as reliable, if it was… that would indicate a blow out shift for Romney.

      • NellieS

NH is going Romney. Either that or the “powers that be” have had too much hooch at their “boys club” meetings. Word is that other than possibly the SE quadrant – NH is Rimneys.

        • TeakWoodKite

Thanks for the ear on the rail. I always find your insights valuable.
Obama was +20 in Mass on RPC, which seems a little odd since Romney was governor of the state…You’d think might be closer than that, so the spill over effect might be at work? What I found ironic is the state of Conneticut being so “well healed” and still going for Obama. How did Joe do it?

      • MarkFtLaud

Drill down. That poll is worthless. The average is 5 or 6 polls.

        • TeakWoodKite

Sorry, not in the mood to “drill down” after just getting back from a root canal. (lol)
          Which poll Mark?

          • MarkFtLaud

Teak; I love teak and u would not believe what I have gotten cheap from ships from SEAsia off slow boats to NY. On the RCP site click on NH scroll to Polls. It shows u the polls that make up the averages. Delete the +9 and its ours. Ramussen has already called it. Maine very interesting. We are probably at 262

            • TeakWoodKite

Nellie said the same. What caught my eye was the spread of 11 points, which is a dramatic swing. If true then extrapolate that nationally and you have Obama getting routed.. Wishful thinking but not impossible.

              • MarkFtLaud

Dick Morris believes that. I’m stressed waiting for dam to break. I have 319. A very odd number but I’m a CFO and like weird numbers. With Maine in play who knows. I did the 19 for fun for myself. There could be reality in the rout. Larry heard internal D confidential polls in the Ft L airport. Disappointed Gallup dropped RR to +3 today. However, we are still at 50. Magic.

          • MarkFtLaud

Teak. Did not mean to sound like in the teak biz. Its what I bought for my home.

            • TeakWoodKite

I love teak wood. Very cool home you must have. :) Does it float?

              • MarkFtLaud

Tried to sene pics over my BB via Disg. Did not work. I have columns 10 ft tall and smaller 8′s. I have a 20 foot Totem pole. And other things.

                  • MarkFtLaud

                      :)

          • MarkFtLaud

Larry, if u see this thread. When I read your Airport missive I immediately contacted Matt Drudge with a link. He has changed a headline for me and others. He ignored my info. Obviously he has a beef with you. 12 days to go. I vote he is an asshole.

    • IkersMum06@gmail.com

Although there are a fair number of Obama signs in the Philly burbs that I frequent, the scene is nothing like it was in 08. I really think PA is in play for Romney.

      • MarkFtLaud

They have moved RR people and money into PA. The flow over TV markets also go into Ohio. They are doing the same thing in Maine and the flow over market is NH.

  • FormerLiberal9

Just a few moments ago I heard on FOX that in the case of Electoral College tie the House of Representatives would pick the President and the Senate would pick the Vice President. Whoa Nellie! That could mean that Romney could be President and “Chuckles” Biden the Vice President.

    • elizabethrc

That would give new meaning to the word “superfluous”! It will give Joe more time to sit at the bar and bore everyone with his ‘war’ stories.

    • TeakWoodKite

We all saw Al Gore refuse to take up a constitutional challenge request from the House to do so. The spread on the indie vote by state is a good indicator on which way the wind blows and with Dems losing more voters to the indie catagory than Reps, with Romney up a solid 5 points among independent voters…
As much as Biden can talk about the “catholic” thing, that voting block is gone for Obama. That means the “white guilt” card has evaporated from the deck…. and that is what got BO elected in the first place.
The question of “The first black president”.. (pisses me off to be using race in any choice we make) has been answered.
      He’s only half of either.

The sad sad reality is BO used race to con the American people. Half of the voting public let him do so.

If given the second chance of voting to correct that grevious error in judgement who, on this watery planet ,would not vote for Romney just on the basis of principle?

    • KataKimbe

That would be drama for sure.

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/ND2FCCGVV2IZTTAZQTXKJTCPNI Ruth

that is not going to happen. there would have to be more votes for obama. and they just aren’t there. polls? what polls? they are mostly rigged.

    • KataKimbe
    • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

…but here’s the rub. They are not required to select only from among the candidates whose names appeared on the ballot; and, more importantly, they are required to elect Constitutionally eligible candidates. Only, no mechanism exists for determining, who is a NBC.

      • randi

so – it could be Mitt and Hillary? That would explain Bill’s ‘help’ and feed the Clinton conspiracy theorists. I better stock up on popcorn… LOL

    • piattq

I am not sure that is correct info on the choice of VP. I believe that was the case in the original constitution.

  • MarkFtLaud

We are at 257 with Fl, VA and Colo. If you look at RCP’s NH has a +9Asshole outlyer poll… therefore its Romney +4 EV’s at 261. We only need Wisc +10 or Ohio +18 and we are there….mo is moving……jeez…..

    • MarkFtLaud

Mmm…we are at 258 +1 more. I keep forgetting we are ahead in one of Maines Congressional Districts. They allocate their EC votes. That means we only need 10.

      • http://www.facebook.com/mary.cusack Mary Cusack

Penn is in play more than we may know.

        • MarkFtLaud

Mary, I think you are right. I just read that RR Pacs are spending either $300k or $500k in Maines 2nd Congressional District. Still it is scary because the dam has not yet broken.

          • http://profile.yahoo.com/ND2FCCGVV2IZTTAZQTXKJTCPNI Ruth

i disagree. the damn has broken the polls just aren’t reflecting it. think about the edge that the polls give democrats. they don’t want to dampen obama’s slim chance.

            • beachnan

I keep thinking that want the polls skewed to the left, so if they steal the election no one will question them.

              • MarkFtLaud

they can’t steal it. they can scare voters by trying to convince us we have already lost. can’t do. The people are fired up.

              • http://profile.yahoo.com/ND2FCCGVV2IZTTAZQTXKJTCPNI Ruth

                yup that is a concern.

      • TeakWoodKite

I really wish that California did that. This state has such a Dem strangle hold, that Gov. Brown is said to “fuming” about all the PAC money opposing his tax hikes and that he has to get out the votes to pass his proposition.
In a state with 53 votes, 1/7of the total , are we not supposed to have porportional representation?
I wounder how that can be put on the Ca prop system for the next election….mmm
