“By the way, you skipped Israel”

“Candidate Obama’s disdain for Mr. Romney, undisguised and even exaggerated in the Hempstead, New York debate (video below) and the Boca Raton, Florida debate* suggests a peculiar defensiveness …” more below.

The Romney team immediately posted a video called “Apology Tour” that flags POTUS Obama’s concerted disregard for the US alliance with Israel these last four years.

The line that Mr. Romney slipped in the late debate (October 23rd) — when explaining the “apology tour” (video below) was “by the way you skipped Israel.” This stung quietly. Like Mr. Romney’s special attention to the size of the Navy was directed at the military vote in Virginia and North Carolina, so the “apology tour” remarks were directed at the Jewish vote in Florida, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Again, I am aware the the foreign policy disputes between the campaigns do not change votes or turn polling in a new direction; however the remarks can reinforce voter intentions, and for Mr. Romney that is enough. The Romney campaign evidenced a deal of expectation after the debates closed that their candidate is tied with the incumbent and was gaining in the undecided and independent vote daily.

Candidate Obama’s disdain for Mr. Romney, …

undisguised and even exaggerated in the Hempstead, New York debate and the Boca Raton, Florida debate* suggests a peculiar defensiveness, even the tone of a challenger. The polls continue to point to a close vote; and a fair reading of history says that Ohio’s 21 Electoral votes are the game. Romney may make an economic address in the closing days, especially after the disappointing find 3Q GDP figure we are sure to get on Friday.

Mr. Obama is still struggling to explain the regime uncertainty of his administration of regulations, costs, taxes, prohibitions, that continues to inhibit American growth.

Mr. Romney’s line, “We have freed other nations from dictators…” can be understood as irony about Mr. Obama’s diktat Executive.

You will especially wish to read Larry Johnson’s post, “Post-Debate Media Depression.” Larry gave a first-person account of his flight with several of the liberal media. Hempstead, New York debate, Candy Crowley, host:

Increasingly America, including a lot of Republicans and conservatives, do not care about Israel and would rather cut it loose than continuing to give it billions. Most Americans could care less about Israel.

    • Hokma

      jew-hater alert!!!!! jew-hater alert!!!! jew-hater alert!!!!

Actually most Amerians DO care about Israel – just not Obama and garbage like you.

      • Bill O’Reilly

A predictable response from a nut like you. Everyone becomes a “jew-hater” because they could not care about Israel. You are a joke. Isreal is not all that important to the U.S. In fact, at times it is more of a pain in the ass. The only reason it gets as much attention as it does is because of the Jewish vote in Flordia and that is quickly becoming irrelevant as the hispanic vote has grown. Strategically and politically Mexico is more important to America than Israel.

Great Romney ad for Mia Love in Utah! Go Mia! Go Mitt!

Oh yeah. In all the hoopla about Benghazi and the final crunch for President I had forgotten about Mia. I would Love for her to win in Utah. The Dims won’t know what to do with a Conservative black woman in the House. Can you imagine her response if Maxine Waters gave her some shit?

      • KenoshaMarge

I’m sure that Mia would sweetly, gently, put Congresswoman in her place. Because I suspect beneath that sweet facade is a core of steel.
Maxine Waters got where she is because AA voters, mostly, vote for AA candidates. Mia Love didn’t have that luxury.
Mia Love got where she is, and I suspect that will be the United States Congress next, because she is smart, articulate and competent.
Maxine Waters bitches, moans, plays the victim and wants endless handouts. A sure fire winner with some. Not a way to build a strong and independent people.
Mia wants strong people standing on their own two feet. That’s how you build a strong community and a strong people.

This is very troubling and makes me quite sad. When reporters Harald Doornbos and Jenan Moussa went to the Benghazi Consulate compound on October 26th they found several documents apparently ignored by the FBI.

… The two unsigned draft letters are both dated Sept. 11 and express strong fears about the security situation at the compound on what would turn out to be a tragic day. They also indicate that Stevens and his team had officially requested additional security at the Benghazi compound for his visit — and that they apparently did not feel it was being provided.

One letter, written on Sept. 11 and addressed to Mohamed Obeidi, the head of the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ office in Benghazi, reads:

“Finally, early this morning at 0643, September 11, 2012, one of our diligent guards made a troubling report. Near our main gate, a member of the police force was seen in the upper level of a building across from our compound. It is reported that this person was photographing the inside of the U.S. special mission and furthermore that this person was part of the police unit sent to protect the mission. The police car stationed where this event occurred was number 322.”

One must question why such documents would have been left lying around and why the FBI, tasked with gathering evidence, did not feel that such documentation was worth preserving.

“From the top down”, is the answer. I agree.

  • FloridaFI

Actually, the “Thought Bubble” that should have appeared over Obama’s head during the first debate would/should have said, “I can’t believe no one is asking me about Benghazi?!” It stayed there throughout the next two debates.

He is still getting a pass. Romney needs to mention Benghazi in the next couple of days to get the MSM to focus on this. Contributors to the News cycle need to also begin to yell louder.

    • mgm

I’ve been expecting, and hoping, that Ryan or some other Republican on the campaign trail would say something scathing about it. It’s probably better if Romney doesn’t get embroiled in it right now..

      • elijahzabmom

Their insider focus groups/polls showed them that talking about Libya was a no go.

    • HObama HObamanana

I seriously doubt Romney will bring it up. He is focused upon his strength and Obama’s greatest weakness: The Economy. But I am going to see him tonight. If he brings it up I will enthusiastically report it.

  • Stopthemadness

I apologize for the off topic posts, BUT…I have also learned that Romney is heading to one of the southeastern counties on Sunday…wouldn’t be shocked to see former Governor Tom Ridge making an appearance with him. Also, 12 million ad buy in the final days throughout the state…hitting all markets. This is not a headfake or bluff…real deal.

    • HObama HObamanana

      Works for me!

    • nickoury

I bet you just love zero’s new PA tv spots.

STFU punk, go smoke sum mo’ weed,
      CHOOMBA, CHOOMBA.

  • Stopthemadness

Just heard that Romney is up 2% in the four collar suburban counties of Philadelphia…Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks. If he snags these …he wins PA.

    • Penngirl

Well I’m south of Harrisburg, and there’s Romney/Ryan signs everywhere! Beautiful sight to behold!

  • HObama HObamanana

Obama shamelessly uses the storm to campaign for President. He’s wearing an Air Force One jacket that has Barack Obama Commander in Chief embroidered on the front pocket. And he is using the Presidential Seal on his podium instead of his campaign slogan. He is now claiming that he supports bipartisanship after ruthlessly attacking ALL Republicans about Any and Every thing for the past 4 years. A bamboozler until the bitter end.

At least, so far, we have been spared the Greek temple. Remember that thing? Anyone with even minimum eyesight that night should have known what an ego -driven poseur the man is.

    Skipping Israel?

Israel to stay on its own if Iran is attacked, US warns”

A military strike on Iran by way of Israel could still occur at a moment’s notice, but the US is now warning its allies that any action overseas would jeopardize America’s ability to assist in a Middle East war.
