Obama is an F**king Moron

Barack Obama is a despicable human being who deserves no respect whatsoever. In today’s press conference, he finally admits that he sent someone who knew nothing about Benghazi out to the American people at his express direction to talk about Benghazi. WTF!!!!!

Here’s what Obama told reporters:

But let me say specifically about Susan Rice, she has done exemplary work. She has represented the United States and our interests in the United Nations with skill and professionalism and toughness and grace. As I’ve said before, she made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her. If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. And I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received and to besmirch her reputation is outrageous.

This should not be surprising. I have said all along that Rice was carrying Obama’s water at his direction. Now we have confirmation.

But this fact begs a simple question–Why in the hell does Obama send someone who knows nothing about the issue to represent him to the nation?

That’s the question the press should have asked and should press for going forward. Why turn to Rice, who clearly knew nothing about Benghazi? Why not send the Director of the CIA or the Director of the National Security Council or the Director of National Intelligence?

It is a total, complete lie that Rice was “sharing what the intel community gave her.” The intel community was reporting the exact opposite. By the evening of 11 September 2012 in Washington, DC, the intelligence community, at least on the military side of the house, squarely and unambiguously placed the blame for the attack on Ansar Al Sharia.

How long must we bear a liar and fraud like Obama?

  • elizabethrc

And he has the gall to say that now that he’s been elected to a second term, he’ll be a better president? Better? Better than what? He was an abysmal failure first time around and he has no place to go but up. He won’t go up, though. His hubris will, as he showed today, get in the way, so he’ll fail at that, too. He excels only in failure.
He’s already started with the tough guy imitations. He’s about as corny as Putin with his shirtless photo ops, and just about as dangerous to democracy. He’s going to ‘discuss’ the situation with McCain and Graham? Testify would be better but it won’t happen.
Maybe nothing will come of exposing Obama’s role in all of this, but history may make note of it and condemn Obama to the trash heap he so readily deserves.

    • momule

Well, actually, elizabethrc, what I heard him say today was that he would be an EVEN better president! With his ever present hubris and arrogance, he gave himself a pat on on the back. Heck of a job, Barry.

  • elijahzabmom

How long must we bear this liar and fraud? Sadly, for four more years.

    • buzzlatte3

That’s what some people thought about Nixon’s second term. There’s hope.

      • elijahzabmom

With this GOP and D congress we’ll see. I won’t hold my breath. Obama has been the teflon president. He takes NO responsibility for ANYTHING. And the media giggles and laughs along.

        • buzzlatte3

          I’m an optimist. Pendulums swing.

      • KenoshaMarge

Ah but Nixon didn’t have a fawning, supine, lap dog media to cover up for him. Quite the contrary.
Obama is a symbol, the media is the problem!

        • buzzlatte3

Way to burst my balloon, Marge. LOL! :)

          • KenoshaMarge

Sorry Buzz. Probably because you’re just a youngun and don’t remember them days like old farts like me.

    • DianaLC

Though I am bracing myself for the executive order to allow him to AGAIN fancy himself as the new FDR and go for another term.

  • nickoury

This is basically “in your face” hubris. “We, I, lied SO WHAT? Just try and touch me, sucka, you can’t win.” zero wants to play this like the Iran-Contra affair and/or Watergate, take your choice. This entire fiasco and the next four years will not bode well for everyone involved and the entire country as a whole, especially to oh so wise(ass) 51%. Too bad suckers.

    • exmaple

“This is basically “in your face” hubris.”

Just like Bush at his first post-re-election conference. Bush growled that he had “political capital” and then went to blow it on the Social Security Privatization scam and Immigration “fix” scam, which were both defeated, thankfully.

      • nickoury

Hey, that’s right, it’s all Bushes fault. GW said it was about a movie, those four died just choking on some popcorn, Bush Kettle Corn.
This is about a very well promoted lie and subsequent cover-up to fend off election results.
Enjoy being duped by the media and you will be extremely happy with the results.

        • exmaple

I didn’t blame Bush. I think Obama and Bush have a LOT in common, although O is more tricky.

          • mergeright

There is simply no moral equivalency in your comparison.

          • buzzlatte3

Barry is just more easily bought and paid for than Bush. Bush didn’t need the money. Barry has to pay hush money to Moochelle. Big difference.

          • nickoury

This issue in not about policy or political direction.

It’s about one particular incident and the ensuing falsehoods to provide diversionary cover. It has now mushroomed way beyond the initial event.

In no way does Bush belong in this narrative. If you wish to make comparasions, you should use Nixon’s paranoid desire for control and winning at any cost. That is the “example” to reference for this discussion.

            • http://lesstalkmoreactivism.blogspot.com/ Canaan

I don’t think Nixon deserves to be compared to Yechh. On Watergate, there’s at least the possibility that Hunt had to be kept silent for the national welfare. According to Pat Buchanan, people were leaking U.S. negotiating fallbacks in SALT, hence the ultra-paranoid plumbers. Nixon was trying to–and did–prevent WWIII. With nuclear war on the table, I’ll cut Nixon as much slack as FDR gets for Japanese internment.

Yechh turned the press into Pravda traitors, that alone puts him in uncharted stink. With today’s press, we never would have heard of the Watergate burglary or Iran hostages.

              • nickoury

zero is only politically similar to Nixon’s personal paranoia to hold onto office before and after the Watergate fiasco.

                The similarity ends there.

Nixon achieved some remarkable things and deserves much credit for those accomplishments. His administration maneuvered the US through a very turbulent period and set in place a lot of what we take for granted today.

We’ve had NO press since 2007. The fouth estate has traded the country’s well being for spineless punk worship. Their blantant leftist attitude lost them any sense of credibilty. The fawning press is as disgusting as those who voted for the outright liar in both 2008 and 2012.

          • sowsear1

            Bush is more American…..

          • BettsAZ

Obama makes Bush look better and better as time goes by.

            • Daniele Dubroca

That is so true. Never, ever thought I would see Bush in a better light. But lately, he doesn’t look so bad. Still, he was a disaster too. It’s just that people were allowed to notice it, and discuss it. We are not allowed to declare Obama a disaster and we must continue to pretend this person of no special intellect whatsoever, is “brilliant.” About as brilliant as a piece of aluminum foil.

        • HObama HObamanana

          Bush Kettle Corn

          LMAO!!!

  • exmaple

“But for them to go after the U.N. ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi”

That’s why they sent her, I’ve always said that. Her position sounds like “State Department,” but she’s not in the same loop as, well, the peeps dealing with foreign embassies. She’s in New York, dealing with the UN, surely a more than full-time position. She could say what she wants because she is “clean,” she’s out of the Washington loop. Therefore, Obama admitted–yes, admitted–she was selected for her lack of knowledge, and plausible deniability–she can say, down the road, she wasn’t in the loop. That was the great plan of making her the spokesman, because her position, to most people, would make it sound like she was in the loop.

    • exmaple

Just to add, choosing Rice was a bet, which failed. But what do the O-bots care? They can skate.

      • exmaple

        BTW,

“in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her.”

Who provided it to her? Obama? It is Obama if when she is asked the question in the Senate, Lindsay Graham goes full drama queen at the gall of such a question, and stymies the questioner.

    • mergeright

If she had nothing to do with it, and no clear understanding of relevant facts, Mr. Obama, then why did you allow her to represent you?

I suppose feigning incompetency is better than the alternative, huh.

Bullying people into showing her leniency does nothing to explain why the President himself furthered the same story told by the so called incompetent employee for weeks on end.

  • Sally Vaci

I’m working my way toward a two state solution: in one state, we have people like Larry, and all the decent people who hang out here at No Quarter and a select few watering holes. We are interested in the truth and willing to dig through steaming piles of B.S. to find it. Problem is, the other state holds all the positions of power and influence from the news posers to the elected officials and all the useful idiots in between, interested only in preserving largesse. And the minions who elected them don’t know the word Benghazi and couldn’t find Libya much less Syria or Iran on a map. That state has no interest in the truth, only in preserving power. The people who prop it up have become our overlords.

I think vodka may be the best solution. 110 proof.

    • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

Your comment points to one of the reasons I wish people were nicer to those here expressing opposing views. Preaching to the choir won’t expand the minds of the choir.

      • http://twitter.com/beyondpartisan beyond partisan

I’m much nicer to my friends and acquaintances…the people here “expressing opposing views” are for the most part paid astroturf, and they just need to be outed, not coddled.

        • scottymac54

“I’m much nicer to my friends and acquaintances…”
          Me, too.

      • HObama HObamanana

You are assuming they have minds capable of expansion.

        • buzzlatte3

Just ran into the intolerance of the left. My diagnosis? They have lost the abilities of critical thinking, thought expansion, and inference. The lack of those traits are also indicators of lower cognitive functioning. In another parlance – they’ve become stupid.

      • DianaLC

jbjd, on several occasions with several of the many, many obots who’ve come here to annoy us, I HAVE tried reasoning with them and explaining my point of view. It becomes very clear after a while with most of them that they are here just to be confrontational, not to see a different point of view.

        • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

See, calling people “obots” is what I had in mind. Whether paid or merely partisan; at least if they’re here, they’re getting an opposing view.

On another blog, I was regularly harassed by someone whose general life view was clearly quite different from mine. Much more right of center, he considered my previous support for HRC, grounds to ridicule or, reject outright what I thought were reasonable ‘takes’ on the issues. I NEVER responded in kind. Then, I wrote the homage to Howard Zinn, in which I chronicled my experience crossing a picket line, and Professor Zinn’s defense of that difficult decision. My ‘tormenter’ read the article. Afterward, he not only apologized for his prior behavior; but he also reviewed our past ‘exchanges,’ in a different light!

You never know who is listening…

          • http://twitter.com/beyondpartisan beyond partisan

Back when I had my Hillary blog, we noticed the “Obots” would all hit our sites around the same time with the same cut and paste comments. It’s one thing to deal with a sincere, misguided person – it’s quite another to deal with a vicious troll or paid astroturfer. And you can see a definite pattern with the astroturfers here – usually only one of them will hit any one article at a time. They rotate through the articles. So one article is assigned to jayhg, another to Jill B, and another to win43. Now either they are using software to pick out their assignments or its one person with multiple identities. When are win43 and jayhg ever on the same article at the same time? It’s like trying to see Clark Kent and Superman at the same time.

          • scottymac54

Would love to read your Zinn piece.

          • shelldoll2

That’s one example. i have received death threats, rape threats, called a racist, and an uncle tom.

There’s a time for reconciliation and time to say that’s enough.

I, for one, have had enough. I argued with the Bushbots for years. I even argued with Karen Hughes from the WH online. Why should Obamabots get a free pass?

            1. Some people can be reasoned with.

            2. Others just want to be on the “winning side”.

            3. Still others will lie to you and pretend to agree with you.

So far with the Obamabots I’ve seen 2, and 3. Still waiting to see 1.

            • shelldoll2

Oh yeah, when pointed out some of the nasty things that had been said to me by so-called liberals the response was fascinating. These people, and I choose the term loosely, agreed and threw in their two cents.

That’s when I realized the people whose side I was on were in many cases more awful, vindictive, and unforgiving than those I disagreed with.

That’s why I’ve drawn my line in the sand.

            • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

              I hope you see this.

I am not advocating that ‘direct’ communication is required with those whose minds are demonstrably made up. I am advocating, contact in whatever form it exists cannot convert anyone when it is overtly confrontational.

          • DianaLC

On many occasions I have wasted lots of time writing them long explanations of my opinions, beliefs and background. Sorry, I never had a Howard Zinn for a professor. I had a public college background in an English major and German minor, and not many of the professors I knew were political.
But I gave rational and reasonable responses. They always wrote back with insults.
When a new commenter on this blog prooves to be one who is here to annoy and call us names for not liking Obama’s policies or background, and when that commenter writes nothing but short name calling comments, we deserve to call him or her an obot.
I usually have liked your comments, espeically about getting the states to certify national candidates. But please don’t lecture me, as…..let me repeat this…..I have spent a lot of time trying to reason with some of these people and was just answered with insults.

            • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

Yes, with no college and no typing skills, I was quite lucky to land a clerical job at a private university where tuition remission was a benefit of employment. That’s how I paid for Professor Zinn’s class. (I transferred to a public university to complete my degree.)

No lectures; and, as I said to shelldoll2, I am certainly not advocating trying to change anyone’s mind. I am just saying, I am glad this blog attracts people who think differently. I think some of the information that ends up here, while perhaps available through other forums, is enhanced by some of the exchanges. For some people, such information could be a ‘game changer’ in their acquisition of the ‘news.’

          • HObama HObamanana

Maybe sometime we will have a Be Nice to Obots Day just for laughs. But until then I don’t expect that any Obot of any flavor will be particularly respected on this blog. You are, of course, free to be kind to as many Obots as you like. I’m not going to judge you for that. To each their own.

But when you go telling the majority of us that we should adopt your strategy for dealing with mindless, disrespectful, willfully ignorant and dangerous Obama worshiping assholes you might run into issues.

            • scottymac54

There were very few opposing voices at this blog, this cycle. Anyone with a political viewpoint to the left of Genghis Khan was driven off. Even libertarians were hassled for not passing purity tests!
It was partly your attitudes (and your brilliant choice) of candidates, your hateful rants, unapolegetic greed, irrational outbursts, hatred and intolerance toward anyone that couldn’t conform to your narrow notion of what an American was, that is the epitome of what turned off the very segment of voters that mattered (and, yes, that would include me).
You were illustrating for us every bad stereotype of the American right-winger at an incredible moment….those of us, of the left, who were dissatisfied with the political identities we’d held for all our lives.
You blew THAT opportunity, and your candidate finished himself off.
So, fuck you, AND your respect.
You emboldened your own new enemies.

              • Hokma

“So, fuck you, AND your respect.”

Why is this piece of dirt still allowed to occupy space here?

            • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

“But when you go telling the majority of us that we should adopt your strategy…”

Ah, good thing I never say, anyone “should” do anything.

              • HObama HObamanana

Agreed. But you did strongly suggest it. Nevertheless, I shouldn’t be putting words in your mouth.

I have no patience for Obots. I’ve been called a racist for the last time without lashing back with a mutual lack of respect. If you feel a need to coddle these folks that’s your business. None for me thanks.

        • getfitnow

Exactly. I saw a friend the day after the first “debate.” She asked me if I watched. I said yes. and the next words out of her moth were: “I can’t stand Romney.” The steel door closed and that was it. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

I think what gets to me is that it is almost impossible to break through the Obot brainwashing. You can bring them facts and all sorts of information and they will deflect and deny, deny, deny. How on earth do we get through to these people?

      • Sally Vaci

I know, but it’s not even about “breaking through the brainwashing.” The people we are talking about simply DO NOT CARE about issues beyond their immediate grasp. They DO NOT VALUE the same things. The are UNABLE to connect the dots between the integrity of our leadership to their dinner tables. They are content to be entertained and distracted with shiny objects and deep cleavage.

“Problem is, the other state holds all the positions of power and influence from the news posers to the elected officials and all the useful idiots in between, interested only in preserving their cut of the Greed Pie.”
So very true! I’ve been working a three-week temp job wasting lots of tax dollars scoring state public school tests which do NOTHING to improve the ed system in this country and just prove to all of us doing the scoring that something is desperately wrong with our educational system.
But that’s beside the point. In driving the 25 minutes to work yesterday morning, I had to finally turn off the radio becaue I dialed through three stattions, and on each the local DJs were having a lot of fun talking about the BIG sex scandal and getting information wrong. One even made a point of saying how stupid it is that some are trying to tie it to the Benghazi “thing.” These are people others listen to daily,

His answer to the question of McCain’s and Graham’s press conference was “Bring it On”. Leave Susan alone. Wonder if someone will make a crying Obama video like someone did awhile back saying Leave Brittany alone!

    • HObama HObamanana

This is what he said when asked by Ed Henry if he issued any orders to help those murdered in Benghazi:

“I can can tell you that immediately upon finding out that our folks were in danger, that my orders to my national security team were do whatever we need to do to make sure they’re safe. And that’s the same order I would give any time that I see Americans are in danger — whether
they’re civilian or military — because that’s our number one priority.”

So “do whatever we need to do” is a standard order issued by our Commander in Chief. It’s no wonder 4 Americans were slaughtered.

The bubble wrap people, libs, gays, AA’s, women, etc. that voted for him thought Barry O was going to wrap them up in rules and regulations to make them safe and immune to reality. In the end, they were just useful idiots. First the gays, next those that think welfare is an entitlement…

        • scottymac54

          What “welfare”?

      • Fred82

        Exactly.

I mean there are simple solutions to gay marriage and abortion that would be within the confines of the Constitution and acceptable to those with common sense.

Both issues could be quickly solved and made into former issues. Alas, the Left will never allow such a thing to happen because doing so would do away with a issue to be milked for political points.

        • akaPatience

Too many young women are duped by the Democrats’ quadrennial fear mongering concerning abortion. I don’t think they’re aware that it was legal in 20 states by the early 1970s BEFORE Roe V. Wade. I have little doubt that now, 40 years later, even if Roe were overturned it would remain legal in most if not all states.

He was re-elected anyway, because people like me took it all into account, weighed it against what the opposition was serving up, and chose the lesser of two evils.
It’s time voters were honest about their motivations, if they are inclined to bloviate anyway.

      • http://twitter.com/beyondpartisan beyond partisan

“He was re-elected anyway, because people like me took it all into account, weighed it against what the opposition was serving up, and chose the lesser of two evils.” Bullcrap. Most Obama supporters I know don’t even know what the NDAA is, much less that he signed it. Or that Obama was against gay marriage before he was for it. Or that Obama has killed innocent children with his drone attacks. Or that Obama is a tool of Wall Street bankers and Goldman Sachs. Should I go on?

        • shelldoll2

Also there was the famous “War on Women” which was never defined or explained. It was only about birth control and abortion. That’s what women were led to believe.
Odd that none of that was eliminated or overturned under two Reagan terms, one GHWB term, and two GWB terms.

The sad part is we women are being defined again by what’s below our waists. This is just the 21st century version.

        • scottymac54

No, because I’m not a garden variety Obama supporter. I opposed him from the start.

NDAA….sadly, so true. But many establishment Republicans are unaware, as well. Only liberty-oriented folks and those of a paleo-conservative bent, are awake to the full import of this abomination. Most neocons, neolibs, etc. deny its potential relevance to their lives, and the lives of their families.
Marriage equality….again, agree fully. But, mind you, it passed in four states, so the argument is, the proof is in the pudding, and one can only imagine what sort of obstructionism conservatives could have mounted, had they been permitted authority to stack the courts in their favor.
Drones….bless you for pointing this out. You couldn’t be more right.
But, would Romney have refrained from following Barky’s agregious example? Would he have even felt inclined to? The foreign policy advisors he picked (or were picked for him) were the same nightmares from Bush’s era.
Not even conservative acquaintances I questioned at the time could deny this question had been answered by the presence of those very advisors.
Wall Street bankers and Goldman Sachs? You are 100 percent on the money, no pun intended.
The problem lies in the fact that Mitt Romney has not one ounce of awareness regarding the New World Order and their strategies…he sees it as an abstraction, an intellectual, almost artistic phenomenon, without believing or understanding its power or influence, as a reality.
Whereas, Obama is more or less an NWO creation, a puppet, an empty suit, a glass’s worth of water, that will fill any container into which he is poured.
My perspective: which is more dangerous for the nation? I chose the puppet, because I believe, on a particular level he “gets” the NWO, and might possess some gut-level instinct to subvert their actions, if they affected him personally.
It’s the same dilemma I had over supporting Hillary Clinton, a Bilderberger. Does membership in such a club trump strength and truth to power, in establishment politics?
I can’t explain the way so many Obama supporters feel about him. I only see him as marginally better than the alternative, at this point.
Thanks for bringing up these issues.

          • TeakWoodKite

      • 3seven77

No. He was “re-elected” because low information voters were promised free birth control, free cell phones, and free abortions.

          YEPPER!!!!

      • http://www.facebook.com/sirmrks Mark Dormann

he was elected because he cheated. there is no other explanation than that. the machines flipped the obama votes and the romney votes.

        • scottymac54

          Must be like that “landslide”….
I haven’t seen or heard any reporting on that, either…

      • Daniele Dubroca

He wasn’t re-elected. He was re-instated. According to some objective polls, he didn’t even win in 2008-almost certainly lost Ohio. But maybe it was close. This election, it shouldn’t have been close. No way he won Pennsylvania and Ohio. Whites in those places have no reason to vote for him.
        So it was stolen.
As for Romney being a worse choice…why exactly? What has happened in the past 4 years to make you convinced that Romney, who at least seems to know the talking points, can speak sensibly w/o a teleprompter, appears to have the energy and smarts to at least attend briefing meetings, and not golf too much, and who at least would pay for his wife’s vacations and clothes–was a worse choice? BO has no height from which fall, but the MSM still catches his butt every time. They are true criminal, the NYT, NPR, MSNBC and the rest. At least Amber Lyons of CNN admitted CNN was a paid org for the Administration.
No women’s reproductive rights would have been harmed during a Romney presidency–an absurd and immature fear of younger females. Those rights are too much imbedded in the culture now. No president could take them away. He would have been afraid to invoke any Mormon principles in public life, as he should be. We separate church & state.

  • binky354

Agree, Larry. Susan Rice was probably sent out because she can lie with a straight face, as can most of the administration lackeys.

    • HObama HObamanana

Obama can lie his ass off but it was very apparent that she was coached as to what to say and what not to say.

      • getfitnow

Ms Rice strikes me as just a dupe that will say anything you put infront of her. Absolutely no independent thoughts.

        • HObama HObamanana

I don’t think that is entirely accurate. She has quite a bit of intelligence. She has, however, decided to use that intelligence for evil purposes and is quite willing to do what is asked of her, knowing full well what she is doing.

      Yes.
      From fox news:
      Lindsay Graham’s response.

“Mr. President, don’t think for one minute I don’t hold you ultimately
responsible for Benghazi. I think you failed as Commander in Chief
before, during, and after the attack,” he said in a statement. “We owe
it to the American people and the victims of this attack to have full,
fair hearings and accountability be assigned where appropriate. Given
what I know now, I have no intention of promoting anyone who is up to
their eyeballs in the Benghazi debacle.”

You forget, most Americans do not approve of running guns, interfering in the events of Syria, a sovereign nation, or having any presence in Libya, another sovereign nation.
That’s the true debate, not some fantasy video game projected onto yet another foreign continent.

      • TeakWoodKite

“most Americans do not approve of running guns, interfering in the events of Syria, a sovereign nation, or having any presence in Libya, another sovereign nation.”

I can almost hear the White House request right now.

Hey Susan, would you be willing to go on 5 networks and say what we tell you to say? I know you weren’t directly in the loop about Benghazi but that’s kinda the point. We are looking for a loyal Obot that seems official to go out there and feed them a line of bullshit. Our bullshit.

Don’t worry, we got Petraeus by the shorthairs so he won’t contradict anything you say. Jennifer Rubin writing about Obama’s press conference:

Obama likewise escaped scrutiny on Benghazi by going into his indignant routine. Asked about a potential Watergate-style investigation of Benghazi, Obama huffed that Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) should stop picking on U.N. Ambassador Susan E. Rice and should “instead come after” him.

In a tweet afterwards, Graham wrote:

Mr. President, don’t think for one minute I don’t hold you ultimately responsible for#Benghazi.

    • Popsmoke

Neither McCain nor Graham have any moral high ground to be bitching and moaning about thIs bullshIt. This is smoke about Rice. The issue is of arming extremists and sending them to fight. Unfortunately the gang of eight was well aware of this policy….

      • jrterrier

Several things wrong here & these are only a few of them:

It was wrong to send Rice out to lie about the cause of the attack.

It was wrong for the President to go before the UN and blame the video for the attack.

It was wrong for the President & the administration to sit on their hands while the embassy was being attacked. There is no excuse for letting 7 hours go by without sending enough reinforcements to save the two seals.

It was wrong not to have sufficient security at the Benghazi embassy after the explicit requests made by Ambassador Stevens.

It is wrong to arm these militants. The blow back is never pretty.

        • getfitnow

If this wasn’t so serious, I would call That One’s action comical.

He has thrown Ms. Rice out in public to tell a tale he knew was fallacious.

Now he suddenly wants to be seen as her defender? One word; coward.

So here you go, Ms. Rice. We will throw you to the wolves and if you survive- I’ve got your back.

By the way Ms.Rice is both incompetent and obviously lacks wisdom. What has she accomplished at the UN. I remember reading reports some time ago that she was MIA a lot. Modelling her boss, I guess.

          • jrterrier

no, no, no. if you look at the liberal blogosphere this is just more of the same “war on women” & racist white Republicans theme.

            • scottymac54

But Rice is not Obama, and, in this case, there IS a serious and noticeable element of exactly that theme in evidence….

Specifically, the opposition is using racial and gender-based codes in order to discredit her competence, because they disagree with her politically.

The flip side of Barky’s supporters’ overuse of race-based claims of discrimination was that white conservatives felt free to re-employ their own race-baiting rhetoric to score points among their own baser elements, even experiencing it all as an act of defiance.

I suspect you’ll begin to see that tactic employed less and less, as it begins to sink in that the GOP lost the election, an expensive loss, and that factor played a role
              in facilitating that loss.

              • jrterrier

what??? so if someone lies & you call her a liar, it’s racial & gender-based code. that is just bull.
stop this incessant race baiting. it is disgusting.

                • scottymac54

I defended NQ posters accused of being racist when they were not, and I’ll defend those actually being attacked on racist/sexist grounds when they are.
It’s called being even-handed, and honest.
If the truth stings, I can’t be held responsible for that. Look within yourself, as to why you are so reflexively bent out of shape over it all.
Susan Rice happens to be effective, within this particular opinion. You can’t fault her for adhering to the boundaries of her individual role, in the midst of a scandal that involves security issues.

                  • jrterrier

Susan Rice had no business putting herself out to do that bullsh*t tour of the Sunday shows. She should have stayed above it. She has enough on her hands.
She chose to jump into the swamp and now has to deal with the alligators. The only gender & race baloney is coming from the paternalistic attiude that the President & the libs are showing toward her. She is not a 7 year old little girl, who needs her daddy to come to her rescue. She is a grown woman, a PhD, the Ambassador to the UN, who is on the front line of the Iran sanctions & lots of other serious issues.

                    • scottymac54

And she’s doing wonderfully! So why nitpick, just because she represents Barky’s administration and therefore, has to be crucified by any means necessary?
                      It’s just dishonest.

                    • jrterrier

I’m not going to agree with your assessment of the wonderful job she’s doing. On multiple occasions, including with the Iranian sanctions, with an attempt to get international cooperation on Syria & in other instances, she has been unable to get the Russians & Chinese on board. But again, that’s a matter of opinion. As a free people we have the right to express our opinion & disagree.

But the point is that the UN ambassadors usually stay out of the politcal fray. In this instance, the President threw her into it & she went along. At a time when the Sec of Defense, the Sec of State, the CIA Director, NSA director & a bunch of others with jurisdiction over the Benghazi attack were in town, the President sent her out to tell a lie — that the movie was responsible even though on 9/12, the day after the attack, the CIA bureau chief in Lybia stated that it was a terrorist attack,

This is America. We, the people, and our represensatives have the right to criticize and question govt action. If she doesn’t want to expose herself to that, then she needs to resign and take a job in the private sector.

The only thing dishonest is any claim that the criticism is racially motivated or part of the Republican attack on women. This is not only dihonest but pernicious of the fundamental rights in a democratic society.

                    • TeakWoodKite

As you will learn shortly, At BO’s intructions she SOLD OUT the USA. They are seditious traitors both. So,by association in your failed thought process, are you. Is that “black” enough for you?

                • buzzlatte3

Here’s the thinking. ” Go ahead and do whatever and ask for forgiveness later.” It’s the LACK of a moral compass that guides the idiots in the Obama sadministration. That and zero integrity.

                  • jrterrier

I think the thinking is that whenever you don’t want to answer a question just say the magic words.

Racist — and nothing else is heard. It stops everyone dead in their tracks. Those who feel aggrieved because they believe they have been the object of racism, stop listening. Those who are accused of racism are cowed into shutting up. So, if the issue is whether Ambassador Rice participated in a cover up or presented lies about Benghazi, we can no longer debate the merits of that argument. We must be racists and sexists.

                    Sexist — same thing.

                    Anti-immigrant — same thing.

                    1%er — same thing.

                    Homophobe — same thing.

So we cannot have a discussion about the merits of anything, be it tax policy, war, competence, deficit spending, religion, voter fraud, voter intimidation.

It worked in this election, or so they think. At some point, none of those words will mean anything.
To the extent I can among my friends each time they pull that baloney, I’m trying to call them on it.

                    • scottymac54

That was true in 2008, but the problem is, after the phenomenon was publicly acknowledged in media, comedy skits, and contemporary literature, truly racist statements began to be expressed, that unfortunately validated the rhetoric exposed in 2008 and immediately afterward, and Romney bore the brunt of the backlash against that, particularly when he chose to invoke class warfare and write off almost half of the nation he claimed to want to govern.
Remember how we speculated that the Dems would use the Mormon card, through media documentaries and the like?
Well, it never came to that. Romney’s campaign was a complete disaster, and it was as if, Barky’s campaign barely had to lift a finger. Either Romney was a complete dolt, or there were forces from within (perhaps the Bushes, and Rove, against the loutish Koch Brothers), who stood to benefit by being able to portray Jeb as white knight to the rescue, against a far superior Hillary Clinton, and Bill’s cabal.
So, you’re waging war against social norms and the uncivilized society we live in, but the fact is, you witnessed a complex political coup, much the same way the generals did.
Don’t put your friends through the aftereffects of that. It’s not deserved.

Perhaps the Gang of Eight should have been informed. You have no proof that they actually were. Considering that Obama claims he had no idea that one of the Departments he Administers (FBI) was investigating the head of another Department that he Administers (CIA), I think it fair to question whether any normal protocol has been followed by the O team.

        • Popsmoke

You my friend are confused.. There is a process and the gang of eight knew dam well what our consulate as s up to. As far as the rest? I am not comenting.
But this Rice issue is smoke….

          • HObama HObamanana

I know the Rice issue is smoke, as is the Petraeus issue. And I am aware that there is a process that is supposed to take place. I just do not trust that Obama followed the process. His Administration’s fast and furious, pick and choose adherence to the Constitution and lack of general respect for well established federal decorum leads me not to trust a single thing they do.

And even if the process was followed and the Gang of Eight was informed and gave their assent, it would not excuse the non-response for additional security and lack of response when our people were under attack. The Gang of Eight had absolutely nothing to do with that.

I don’t think arming and sending Islamists was even necessary. The Islamists already wanted to wage jihad against apostates and have proven themselves more than capable of acquiring arms with no US help whatsoever.

Still, the idea of giving arms to Sunni Islamists is pretty damn stupid. Given the stupid of Washington DC however, I guess it all makes sense now.

        • TeakWoodKite

          Obama is a Sunni muslim….

      • scottymac54

EXACTLY! They nip like terriers at the personalities on show, but conveniently ignore the failed policies and cynical interventionist operations that enabled the bloodshed, and political instability throughout the Middle East, in the first place, while profiting off the carnage, adding insult to injury.

        • Fred82

How would your argument explain the fact that Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab and Ibn Taymiyya came along before the United States officially existed? Wahhabism also came about in a nation that has never been a colony of Western powers.

Likewise, I do not believe that failed US policies and US interventionism explain thousands of years of Middle Eastern conflict?

Lastly, I fail to see where the current administration or the Left have ever been non-interventionist.

    • DianaLC

I was just going to post that Obama’s statement is just the opening everyone in Congress with any sense of ethics and concern for our Constitution should use as an opening to really go after him. Someone had to have called him from the Situation Room that night when he was out campaigning rather than running the country. If no one told him, he’s doing a pretty darned job of bein CIC.
Good for Graham. McCain always backs off.

    • HObama HObamanana

I don’t think that Obama was going into an indignant routine. I think he was channeling his inner Muslim, expressing how offended he was. Because that is the key to why they made such a big deal out of the video lie.

You see, if they keep blaming all this rioting and murdering on a video made by someone expressing a Constitutionally (supposedly) protected freedom then Americans begin to associate expressing freedom with offending Muslims with American deaths which are suddenly their fault, not the offended Muslims committing the murders.

It’s a sharia psy-op on steroids perpetuated by the Big Bamboozler himself.

  • chrissy

Everyone knew Rice lied, no surprise. The surprise was that Obama admitted he sent her out to lie. The same lie Hillary told over 4 flag draped coffins at Andrews Air Base. That is what I find despicable.

    • HObama HObamanana

That’s because Obama’s whole campaign, from the very start, has been a lie. And the media has not only fell for the lie, they have perpetuated it and protected him. That is why he is so arrogant.

You would think that some in the fawning, supine obamamedia would feel just a tad uncomfortable about their lap dogginess.

        • HObama HObamanana

One might think. But I’ve been amazed at the willingness on the part of the loyal lapdogs to spew whatever nonsense spun by the Emperor’s office. It’s one thing to be biased. It’s quite another to be completely stupid which they demonstrate on a daily basis. A perfect name for them is Brown Tongues. Cause they ain’t just sniffin any more. One thing is for certain, Obama has a clean asshole.

    • jrterrier

Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy of California, accepting his nomination for a second term in leadership in a closed party meeting, told House Republicans they’re all that stand in the way of liberalism run amok.

“For the next two years, we are the only thing that can keep Obama’s vision for America from becoming a reality,” McCarthy said in the closed meeting, according to a source. “Make no mistake, [with] Pelosi deciding to stay, they will spend the next two years trying to drive us back into the minority so President Obama can replay his last two years in office like he did his first two — running roughshod over the American people with more programs, more bureaucracy, more taxes, more spending and more debt. Well, they’re wrong.”

McCarthy concluded with a military reference.

“In World War I, when the Marines landed in France, a French officer advised the 2nd Battalion to retreat,” McCarthy said. “The Marine Company Commander replied, ‘Retreat? Hell, we just got here!’ We just got here as a majority two years ago. We’re not going anywhere, and we are going to stand firm and fight for our principles.”

      • HObama HObamanana

Nice to hear that someone in the Republican party still has a backbone and actually stands for real principles. The American people mandated that there be a firewall to the liberal decay. That’s why the House is still manned by Republicans.

  • jayhg

Let me get this straight………you’re here calling President Obama a moron and President Obama is, where…….let me see…….oh, I don’t know…….running the free world, completely unconcerned about your and your little rant and the rants of your little birther minions here.
But you keep hope alive that someone other than you 10 (if it’s that many of you) birthers will one day pay some attention to you. Somebody might, but it won’t be President Obama. Likely it will be another birther who is as pathetic as you guys are.

    • HObama HObamanana

And yet when George W held the same position idiots like you called him a moron without similar introspection.

  • akaPatience

Okay, let’s sort this out. Rice may have done Obama’s bidding vis a vis the blasphemous video excuse because she wants to be Sec’y. of State. Petraeus may have done his bidding due to extortion. Panetta’s remarks were bureaucrat-speak. That leaves Clinton, and I’m trying to figure out why she was so willing to promote the video excuse.

    • nickoury

She’s a useless party drone, hoping for a shot at 2016 while practicing on zero some techniques Bill learned from Monica.

    • HObama HObamanana

It seems obvious to me why she promoted the video lie. The Department she heads received and turned down requests from Ambassador Stevens and others for additional security. If she is able to divert attention away from that truth by blaming some stupid video it gets her off the hook, in her twisted mind.

    • http://twitter.com/jbjdjbjd jbjd

Notice under what circumstances she made those statements… Here, context is everything. (That’s why I cannot wait to hear Petraeus’ reason for his previous statement to Congress, under oath, ‘the video made them do it.’)

  • jayhg

Damn you guys are desparate! It’s been a while since I’ve seen this level of desparation to find something on a single person. Actually, let me take that back. I’ve NEVER seen this level of desparation……but make no mistake, it IS desparation, not just “I want to know the TRRUUTHHHHH!”
You right wing nut job birthers wouldn’t know the truth if it stood in front of you buck naked handing you a million dollar check tax free!

The Skipper and Gilligan (McCain and Graham) were privy to the exact same ambiguous post-Benghazi intel as Susan Rice. That’s why Obama was so pissed off today.

If the Skipper wants to go Watergate on this, God bless him. But it’s just politics.

    • jrterrier

Ambigous? You mean the 150 bearded gunmen, with RPGs & pick up trucks mounted with heavy machine guns, bearing the logo of Ansar al-Shariah, an Al-Qaeda linked militia that sealed off the streets leading to the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.

“Within 24 hours of the attack, both the embassy in Tripoli and the CIA station chief sent word to Washington that it was a planned militant attack.” http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-202_162-57541740/libyan-witnesses-recount-organized-benghazi-attack/

Yes, certainly, the evidence does seem as ambigous as the fact that Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese.

Obama is the ultimate enabler – wants to keep everyone sick so he can pass himself off as the great healer. His gift is being able to convince people that he really cares – the dumb people, that is.
I don’t pray at the church of Obama. Left the Dems in 2008 and never looked back. It is the party of slavery -not the same as in the 1800s, but slavery nonetheless. It’s all about control of the masses.
Take a step back and really look at what all the activities of this Administration are about if you have the courage and the common sense.

Susan Rice, along with Obama, Hillary, and key allies worldwide, stood their ground over the course of the spring and summer, and managed to avert a serious hot war that could have gone thermonuclear.
People forget how close the world was, to that breaking point (chiefly because they supported bringing us to the brink).
Now, we’re all in a better situation to cope with the inevitability of attacks on Iran, and others.
The administration has worked with key allies, who needed to be brought up to speed, regarding aspects of the emerging conflict, they may not have had the capability to handle (and had been intimidated into action).
I give them credit for abandoning the failed conciliatory approach, resisting the temptation to make political hay of it all for the election, and, quite frankly, just doing their jobs and sticking to that, as a formula.

We may actually be on the right side of history, for once.
I give them all due props for that, and that alone.

It’s obvious to me that Rice was chosen to deliver Obama’s lie because of her race and gender. Nothing like a little racism and sexism to further divert our attention. The attacks and accusations now coming from the “left” certainly confirm this.

      • KenoshaMarge

Exactly HoHo! Because attacking her means you are both racist and a misogynist. Note how Obama rushed to her defense like she was some poor helpless little female. Some SoS she would make if that’s necessary.

I am all for strong, competent women in positions of power. Women, not helpless little girls who need the big strong menfolk to come rescue them.

Where is the feminist outrage about this? Oh right, their outrage is never aimed at the left no matter what they do. Obama is the feminist dreamboat to both them and the youth who vote for the freebies.

        • HObama HObamanana

This is all very carefully planned, as is everything the O Administration does. It’s all done for political purposes. The only time they run into problems is when someone forgets and goes off script for a moment or two.

      What a surprise.

      • HObama HObamanana

I haven’t been able to find the OH or PA numbers but I do find several headlines stating that this is an “unexpected” rise in unemployment. The Labor Department of course blames it all on Sandy. Are we to assume that others had not figured Sandy into their projections?

While we are at it, lets not forget to add in an unknown quantity of unemployed from New York which was unable to update their records due to power shortages. Add a sudden contraction of manufacturing output and another recession in Europe and it sure looks interesting. Did I mention that Wall Street has been depressed since Obama was reelected?

  • http://www.facebook.com/je.colon.3 Je Colon

Good article. The question was “how long must we bear a liar and fraud like Obama?” Well…..let us see….we have been sounding the trumpet since the race between Hillary and Obama. We have blogged thousands of alerts by bloggers. His BC, his gay accusers, his college records, his real father, his dual papers, his social security problem, his constant fighting court challenges, his lack of interest in governing, his thug union friends, his communist associations, and other things. So, what is left? What is left is for the media to turn on him. And since his name is Prince of Air=waves, I doubt they will. So, we will put up with his lying and fraud until a new face attracts the majority of citizens. Since hispanic are bigots just like blacks I believe the only ticket that can finally change the whitehouse in 2016 is RR like I have always predicted. Rubio and Rice will become the new team that can beat the democrats. I don’t believe Hillary will be the nominee, because she has to much involvement in the Benghazi’s mess and it will be front and center for her.

    • JohnnyTwoDog

That would please the guy with the tatoo on the side of his face.
Why did Romney not go with Rubio? The Dems attacked Rubio quite a bit before VPmate was selected, Ryan too but not to the personal extent of Rubio.
Rubio’s ancestral story was attacked. While that line may have had some merit, would Latino voters have cared? Black voters are not upset over Obama’s fake story, and are not upset that they have fared worse than alll other races under Obama.
OFA steered Romney to Ryan. Ryan is squeeky clean, like Romney, but that was not going to bring the votes Romney needed, and OFA was betting on it.
OFA knew Romney would pick someone with high morals and an honest story like himself. They studied his moves at Bain, not for the deals he made but for the people he surrounded himself with. And they steered Romney to Ryan.
Not saying Ryan is a bad guy, just that the ticket needed to attract a wider demographic.

    • mergeright

She can be black and female all they want. That just makes her a black female liar, an easily manipulated one at that.

  • Eyes Wide Open

In my opinion Obama was pushing Rice to the limelight. He may have been the creator of the video idea and in his arrogance he thought it was brilliant. Perhaps the whole plot was meant to hide the arming of our enemies, remove one or more witness, suppress freedom of speech and push Rice to the forefront.

Susan Rice and Obama go back a ways. She has been very anti Israel which could please Obama. She has advocated the removal and relocation of peoples.

Where did that video trailer really come from? Rumor has it that someone mucked about with its title to change it to something that could be twisted into an insult to Islam?

    • HObama HObamanana

For all we know someone besides the “creator” of the offensive video put their own words to it as you suggest. I’ve yet to see proof otherwise. Especially considering that all the actors testified that none of them spoke those words.

  • Mike Monroe

Nice title. As always Larry Johnson is a class act!

Absolutely nothing wrong with sending Susan Rice out there, one of the top diplomats to comment on the death of a top diplomat. Based on everything she knew at the time, and frankly what everyone else knew, she gave the absolutely correct responses to the death of Stevens.

Larry Johnson’s big problem is he does not like the fact that Susan Rice said that based on the information available at the time the act was either directly or indirect based on a mob uprising due to an offensive video. That could actually be completely true. It is not a big deal if she was wrong. The Adminstration, including Obama himself, said it was an act of terror pretty quickly after it occured.

This is all you got? This is what you spend you days thinking about after your Party and candidate Romney got completely crushed?

Between freaking out about whether Rice was strong enough in the hours after a confusing attack on our consulate about 100% knowing if it was related to a mob uprising and your analysis of a sex scandal involving Petraeus leds me to believe that you Larry Johnson are pretty much an empty suit.

Ambassador Rice appeared on the Sunday news shows on Sept 16, 2012.

Within 2 hours of the attack, the American Embassy in Tripoli emailed the US State Dept, White House Situation Room, the Pentagon, the FBI and the Director of National Intelligence that Ansar al-Sharia, a militia group with links to Al Qaeda was involved in the attack.

Within 24 hours of the deadly attack, the CIA station chief in Libya reported to Washington that there were eyewitness reports that the attack was carried out
by militants, officials told The Associated Press.

    • HObama HObamanana

A confusing attack? Surely the only ones confused about the attack were those in the Administration that needed to come up with a good excuse for it fast.

    • Van_Dessel

Well, either Rice is correct or Obama and his team, including Charlene Lamb, need prescriptions from Pearle Vision to fix their eyesight since they watched the whole event.

In fact, didn’t Obama declare to Romney and the world that he said it was a terriorist attack, that was before he sent Rice out to spread the lie?

        • Hokma

She was lying and she knew it. The administration knew exactly what was happening and why and they intentionally sent her out to tell a lie so that Obama could get re-elected.

As far as the Washington Post, their fact-checker needs a fact checker because all they are doing is going by what the Obama administration is telling them and not based on actual news reports.

The walls are collapsing for Obama quickly between his failed economic policies, his failed foreign policies, and his disregard for the truth resulting in scandals.

            • Hokma

On FoxNews Sunday Rice responded to Beghazi with these exact words:

“What sparked the violence was a very hateful video on the Internet.”

“It was a reaction to a video that had nothing to do with the United States.”

“The best information and the best assessment we have today is that this was not a pre-planned, pre-meditated attack.”

“What happened initially was that it was a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired in Cairo as a consequence of the video. People gathered outside the embassy and then it grew very violent. And those with extremist ties joined the fray and came with heavy weapons, which unfortunately are quite common in post revolutionary Libya, and that then spun out of control.”

Now you obviously did not read your own link because this is what the SOB said:

“But soon after that spontaneous protest began outside of our consulate in Benghazi, we believe that it looks like extremist elements, individuals, joined in that effort with heavy weapons of the sort that are, unfortunately, readily now available in Libya post-revolution. And that it spun from there into something much, much more violent.”

What she is stating is what McCain was rightfully mocking her and the administration over by saying that a group of people showed up and decided to hey let’s break out the heavy weapons and party.

When she was stating this Obama and her knew that what she was stating was a bald faced lie.

Thanks mostly to the only news information network left, FoxNews, we are close to knowing what Obama knew and when did he know it.

What the American people want to know is why Obama and administration were lying? For what purpose?

Did Obama issue an order as he stated to protect the consulate or did he lie about that too? And if he did issue it who countermanded that order and why?

Did Obama know as reported that Stevens and the consulate were in danger? Did Obama know that Stevens had requested added protection and why/who turned it down?

Secondarily is the Patraeus revelation that just happened to come out right after the election and coincidently at the time he is to testify? What did Obama know and when did he know it? Why was this revelation conveniently withheld till after the election and was there a purpose for its release?

I think we all know the answers to this but the House will force these answers since the news media has conspired with Obama to cover it up.

        • TeakWoodKite

What I saw on TV was not what she said?

      http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/14/opinion/friedman-obamas-nightmare.html?hp&_r=0

      • HObama HObamanana

Thanks for the link. An interesting read. I agree that the potential for what Friedman fears exists and grows every day. I don’t think his multinational approach has much chance of working though. Whose authority would they be under?

        • Hokma

Friedman intimates it should be us, but you know Obama only leads from behind or from a behind.

          • JohnnyTwoDog

            or is a behind…

      • JohnnyTwoDog

I don’t agree with Friedman’s assessment. Syria is exploding, but not for the reasons he claims.

Iraq imploded because as Friedman said the US pulled the pin on the grenade, and then jumped on it. But, Iraq can very well still explode, and may be doing so already.

“It is not enough to win a war; it is more important to organize the peace.”
        ― Aristotle

The US organized the peace in Europe and Japan after WWII and even Korea, but never since. A heavy price was paid in SE Asia, and a heavier price is starting to be paid in the Middle East.

We are leaving vacuums in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Assad would never have dared challenge Israel directly. But the Muslim Brotherhood is a different story. Assads fall will be worse for Israel than a nuclear Iran.

No surprise that Obama’s lack of Israeli support invites rockets from Gaza and praise from Egypt.
Everything is falling in place exactly as he planned.

    • HObama HObamanana

I am not going to hop on the Diane Feinstein is so wonderful bandwagon. I’ve seen her do an about face before when pressured politically. If the truth is ever known it will all point directly back to Obama who she considers her boss. My sense is that she will protect him. So I don’t expect any great revelations to come from these meetings.

Lindsey Graham can praise her all he wants. I really wouldn’t expect anything less. What’s he supposed to do, call her an Obot bitch? Not likely that approach would help matters.

I am willing to let this play out but I have no illusions that either side will tell us the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. They will all play politics and bury their own secrets while they throw us bones.

Saw a comment down thread that Senator McCain was not as responsive to BS Barry is spewing on the pews as Senator Graham. This is as blunt as one can be, me thinks. With the exception that it is not an either or proposition… it’s both. He is spot on.

“This president — this administration — has either been guilty of colossal incompetence or been engaged in a coverup, neither of which is acceptable to the American people,” McCain said on the Senate floor today. “I speak as a friend of Christopher Stevens, I speak as a person who knows something about warfare, I speak as something of an authority — that this attack could have been prevented if the information on the ground had been taken into consideration.”

Sandy didn’t help during the election, but it was the voting fraud I think that cost the most, and the fact that the military or whoever caused it didn’t get some of the ballots where they should go, etc., etc. Overwhelm the system–how is it even possible to fight the way the voting was conducted in several states. If there weren’t so many other issues, I would like to see a consistent system for qualifying to vote in a national election and a clear consistent system for counting votes.

The Rev. Walter Turlo, pastor of St. Fabian Catholic Church in Bridgeview, described Said as a friend, one who tried to keep the peace between more radical and moderate factions at the mosque.
St. Fabian has a longstanding interfaith exchange with the 20-year-old Mosque Foundation. After the terrorist attacks — when a mob marched on the mosque chanting anti-Arab slogans and waving American flags, and Arab shopkeepers’ windows were smashed — Turlo reached out to Said in a show of support.
“That’s what the mosque stood for during that time,” Turlo said. “It articulated clearly the importance of freedom of religion and the multicultural nature of this area.”

Yet during a close presidential race where national security is again a prime concern, the specter of Sept. 11 has overshadowed all other Muslim efforts. Link1 Link2

That was shown last week, when Mazen Asbahi resigned from the Obama campaign. The Chicago attorney had been assigned to repair ties with Muslim voters who were offended by the Illinois senator’s handling of the rumors about his faith. Asbahi, who couldn’t be reached Wednesday, stepped down after news surfaced that he briefly served on the board of an investment fund with the fundamentalist imam of a Bridgeview mosque. The Obama campaign issued a statement saying Asbahi resigned to keep from being a distraction.

Obama IS a Muslim. He can pretend to be a Christian that is offended when Muslims are caught killing innocent people, but he is a Muslim. No doubt about it. His father wouldn’t have it any other way. And we all know how he feels about his dad.

    Here comes the Forever Term

I just mentioned on a thread that this is exactly what I fear the most.

    • HObama HObamanana

Such chatter is of the tin foil variety. Mr. Obama is not going to seek or accept a third term. As much as these assholes like to pretend otherwise, we still have a Constitution.

      • sowsear1

The Constitution does have these pesky amendments. If they can be added, they can be discarded. That’s why taking control of House and Senate would be a good idea.

Reminds me that i need to send off my email to both the Dem Senators from my state saying that I expect them to vote to allow the Select Committee.

    Stupid….

  • TeakWoodKite

It began when Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) said this: “What is clear is that this administration, including the president himself, has intentionally misinformed, read that LIED, to the American people in the aftermath of this tragedy. Now President Obama has the gall to float the name as possibly secretary of State, the name of the person who is the actual vehicle used to misinform the American people during this crisis.”

I guess Susan Rice is the next SOS….

  • Eyes Wide Open

More reasons that Obama wants Susan Rice in a powerful position.
She has been “dancing with African dictators since the 90′s”

    Racist Sore Loser!

“Barack Obama is a despicable human being who deserves no respect whatsoever.

How long must we bear a liar and fraud like Obama?”

No, Larry. It’s obvious you are a hateful racist bigoted scumbag like ALL the other cancervatives who counldn’t stand that the black man won re-election you resort to nitpicking to defend your racist, hateful views!

    1. Obama is not trying to destroy the country. Most people who run for office aren’t. They merely have different priorities than you do. This does not make them evil, selfish, or The Devil.

    2. Just because you heard or read something does not make it true. Verify things before passing them on.

    3. In case you were asleep the last 4 years, the financial meltdown in 2008-09 led to the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression. Warning that we’re headed for another one shows you aren’t paying attention to what’s happening right now.

    4. David Limbaugh is a fool and no thinking person should rely on him for economic analysis.

    5. You continue to demonstrate your ineptitude with each new column you write. I realize you’re paid by the click, but do you really want to be a jester?

But interestingly, McCain took a far different approach to another Rice in 2005. When President George W. Bush nominated National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice to the post, McCain defended the nomination, despite Rice’s central role in spreading the false intelligence that Saddam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction. The Democrats held hours of hearing and ultimately confirmed Rice, but not before McCain accused the opposition of using politics to delay her confirmation and challenging her “integrity”:
McCAIN: Condoleezza Rice is a great American success story. This is what America is all about. A young woman who grew up in a segregated part of America where Americans were not treated equally, to rise to the position of secretary of state. We should have been celebrating, I believe, this remarkable American success story. Also, I thought that some of the remarks — and I’m not going to mention my colleagues’ names — some of the remarks aimed at her during the hearings challenged her integrity. We can disagree on policy and we disagree on a lot of things, but I think it is very clear that Condoleezza Rice is a person of integrity. And yes, I see this, some lingering bitterness over a very tough campaign. I hope it dissipates soon.
“I can only conclude we’re doing this for no other reason than because of lingering bitterness at the outcome of the elections,” McCain told CBS Morning News on January 27, 2005.

In the intervening four years, the Republican message against Obama has been nothing but one long racist tirade.

Muslim. Kenyan. Foreign. Hussein. Doesn’t share our values. Not Christian. Wants to cut the work requirement in welfare. Obamaphones. “Holder’s People.” Black Panthers. “Moochelle Chewbacca Obama.” “The White Hut.” “Entitlement society.” “Makers versus takers.” Recovery, not dependency. Parasites.

THEY ALL FAILED! I’m so sorry you racists now have to resort to nitpicking needliess unimportant issues to demean the country for NOT picking Mittens. Sad…Sad indeed!

Look Larry old chap, the majority of Americans don’t agree with you. Keep preaching to the choir, keep up the Obama is evil nonsense, and keep deflecting blame from your party’s message, it will only further drive the party to the right, and cause the inevitable future failures of the Republican Party. They blame everyone but themselves. They even blame two hurricanes on Obama winning, but if that’s true then it was an Act of God that re-elected the president in a landslide after you called his re-election as wrongly as any of the other “experts.” You have zero credibility. Zero.
