Cocksucker is a nifty word. It is a crude term for the act of fellatio. It also is slang for a mean or despicable person. Although I am still a registered Republican, the only Republican I could vote for at this stage is Chuck Hagel. The rest of the clowns remind me of the following toon. Genius. Sheer genius.

Which brings me back to a the original question–why is a party that is so anti-homosexual, so anti-gay, so homophobic, also a gathering spot for so many self-hating, repressed homosexuals?

We have two recent examples:

How about Florida State Rep. Bob Allen (R), a co-chairman of John McCain’s presidential campaign? He was arrested for soliciting oral sex with an undercover policeman. Yet he says he offered to suck cock because he was afraid of a black man:

In a written statement released Thursday, Titusville Officer Danny Kavanaugh recalled entering the restroom twice and said he was drying his hands in a stall when Allen peered over the stall door.

After peering over the stall a second time, Allen pushed open the door and joined Kavanaugh inside, the officer wrote. Allen muttered ” ‘hi,’ ” and then said, ” ‘this is kind of a public place, isn’t it,’ ” the report said. . . .”Well look, man, I’m trying to make some money; you think you can hook me up with 20 bucks?” Kavanaugh asked Allen. . . .

According to Kavanaugh’s statement, the officer said, “do you want just [oral sex]?” and Allen replied, “I was thinking you would want one.”

The officer said he then asked Allen, “but you’ll still give me the 20 bucks for that . . . and that the legislator said, “yeah, I wouldn’t argue with that.”

Then there is Glenn Murphy Jr. of Indiana, the recently resigned president of the Young Republican National Federation. According to the Indiana News and Tribune Murphy has resigned as chairman of the Clark County Republican Party and his post with the Young Republicans:

[After] the Clark County Sheriff’s Department on Friday began investigating Murphy for alleged criminal deviate conduct — potentially a class B felony — after speaking with a 22-year-old man who claimed that on July 31, Murphy performed an unwanted sex act on him while the man slept in a relative’s Jeffersonville home.

And who can forget faux newsman (and male hooker) Jeff Gannon or the Reverend Ted Haggard.

I was hesitant to use the jarring term, “cocksucker”. It certainly captures attention. But I am not really concerned about who sucks what. As long as sexual relations are between consenting adults it is none of my business. However, rank hypocrisy, particularly when the policies of these hypocrites hurt others, is worthy of comment and condemnation. If the Republican party practiced tolerance and understanding towards homosexuals, immigrants, and ethnic groups (African Americans, Latinos, etc.) then I would not even consider using the phrase, “Republican cocksucker”. But given recent events, I think it is appropriate. And me, I’m going to register as an independent.
