People believe the NRA is a terrorist organization

I was astonished to learn that police officers are having to protect children, teachers and others, on top of handling the disaster at Sandy Hook.

Larry Johnson recently wrote about the shootings in Newton at “Demand a Plan–Tell Hollywood Celebs to Fuck Off“:

These assholes are in a weeping frenzy over the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. Yes, that was an awful thing. But these obtuse clowns are apparently completely devoid of irony.

Let’s demand Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Fox take down Django. Too much damn violence in dat movie. Let’s enforce censorship on Hollywood. … Read more of Larry Johnson‘s blog, “Demand a Plan–Tell Hollywood Celebs to Fuck Off.”

On top of that, people are trying to declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. The photo below shows police trying to protect children and other people, when instead they should be assisting with the clean-up efforts.

Des Moines Register published a gun-ban column advocating deadly violence against NRA, GOP leaders, as the photo above shows:

The Des Moines Register, via Fox News, published a gun-ban column advocating deadly violence against NRA, GOP leaders:

Declare the NRA a terrorist organization and make membership illegal. Hey! We did it to the Communist Party, and the NRA has led to the deaths of more of us than American Commies ever did. (I would also raze the organization’s headquarters, clear the rubble and salt the earth, but that’s optional.) Make ownership of unlicensed assault rifles a felony.

The Des Moines Register, via Fox News, added:

The so-called “news” media love to blame conservatives for the declining civility of our democratic discourse, but the hateful venom spewed by supposedly enlightened liberals like Kaul is as vicious as it gets.

Publishing death threats is bad enough, but doing so in the name of promoting a more peaceful, compassionate society is beyond sick.

I believe that everyone should be free to choose the guns they wish to own.

It is in the Second Amendment to the Constitution. If some people refused to give up their guns, instead many people are trying to pry guns from “their cold, dead hands,” as Charlton Heston once said.

I would be interested in your views about why the police are having to worry about protecting people from a group that advocates the removal of guns.

And yet according to Gallup, the public has a higher opinion of the NRA than they do of the media.

This kind of totalitarian Neo-Bolshevik scum also said we should prosecute the Tea Party for plotting to overthrow the government — by voting.

Following their rabies logic, we should also declare the Supreme Court a terrorist organization for upholding the Due Process clause. Their logic is specious, but not even Neo-Bolsheviks can claim NRA has indirectly caused more American deaths than heroin importers. Yet major importers (e.g., John Gotti) exploit technicalities under the Bill of Rights to escape prosecution while they kill millions of Americans. Terrorists on the U.S. Supreme Court cause those deaths, right?

As always, it’s not about the rights of drug dealers or even gun owners. It’s about limiting state power in order to short-circuit totalitarianism.

Re CPUSA: actually, it was Democrat Harry Truman, backed up by ACLU founder Felix Frankfurter on the Supreme Court, who jailed party members just for advocating Marxism (Dennis vs. US). Eisenhower’s Supreme Court (Earl Warren) ended the practice in 1957, just as the nation rejected McCarthy, even while the Red superpowers continued to menace the U.S. Most sane people know McCarthy sucks. So what’s with the Scummy Leftist logic that we should do it now because, after all McCarthy (actually Truman-Frankfurter) did it? Huh???

Now it’s Monroe that has to deal with the media frenzy. Living next door to the town, I won’t even drive there now. I feel so sorry for the school children who just want to get on with their lives but with the masses of media, that’s not possible. They are a reminder of everything that happened and the media just need to go away.
I’ve been burglarized twice in my home (s) and both times, I wished I had something to protect myself. I was lucky in that no one came upstairs. If I desire to buy a gun for my own protection, it is my right and instead of protecting my right, the liberals want to take it away from me. I thank the NRA for indirectly doing what the left is too gutless to do…think about my safety. And enough of this nonsense about banning guns preventing anyone bent on killing from doing it. Timothy McVeigh didn’t have a gun, did he?
This is all about politics for the left, not about rational decision making. After the hateful campaign Obama ran, the left has really picked up on the name calling, the over the top accusations, the vilifying of the NRA and I really am just so damned tired of it. Political correctness may yet cause all of us to be even less secure in our own homes.
