“Body of missing NY mother found in Turkey”

Fox News provided a video and an article about Sarai Sierra:

Sarai Sierra, a woman living in New York City “has been found dead in Istanbul. The Turkish police confirm to Fox News.”

Police say they were able to identify 33-year-old Sarai Sierra as she had her license on her. She was reportedly stabbed to death.

Another report say she may have had a head injury.

Authorities reportedly have nine people in custody in relation to her death. It is not clear if all nine are suspects.

CNN wrote an article titled, “Body of missing NY mother found in Turkey“:

The family of an American woman who went missing in Istanbul nearly two weeks ago are in mourning after learning that Turkish police found her body Saturday.

Steven Sierra wept during a phone call with CNN, as he waited in Istanbul to go with police to identify the body of his wife, Sarai Sierra.

Turkish police found the New York woman’s body near ancient stone walls in Istanbul’s Sarayburnu district, the semi-official Anatolian Agency reported. Police suspected she had been killed at another location.

Authorities already have nine people in custody. It’s not clear if “all nine are suspects.” (According to “CNN News).”

The Anadolu Agency reports residents discovered the body near ancient city walls in a low-income district.

She was in regular contact with friends and family and was last in touch with her family on Jan. 21, the day she was due back in New York. She told them she would visit Galata Bridge, which spans the Golden Horn waterway, to take photos.

    There has to be more to this story. Her decision to make the trip alone makes me wonder what else she might have been doing.

      Apparently she was to meet a stranger she met on the internet to take pictures of a bridge that is accessible to everyone…….strange indeed.
      This is after a trip to Holland and Germany.
