John McCain, Go To Hell

McCain, in a period of 24 hours, has eroded whatever goodwill and benefit of the doubt most Americans felt for the former prisoner of war. I even supported the crank for President back in 2008 and am now quite happy that he got his ass kicked. McCain’s failure to grasp the basic, simple point that Senator Rand Paul was making about he limits of Presidential power and the sanctity of the Bill of Rights.

McCain’s bizarre attack on Paul reveals not only a cranky old man, but one whose mental facilities are in question.

Damn you to hell John McCain.

This is not a simple disagreement over two equally defensible positions. This is an act of madness and pique by McCain. As our dear friend, KenoshaMarge, observed in another thread, this guy just does not get it and continues to dig himself a deeper hole.

Rand Paul reminded America that US Constitution and the Bill of Rights are worth defending. McCain, an embarrassment to all Americans.

    Amen, brother.

The only reason why McCain won his last election was because he was running against JD Hayworth and JD is just not missing one tree for the hammock, he is missing the hammock itself.
Some choice… half a bag of loose marbles missing or the entire bag shot to hell…

By the way, Graham reminds me of Colonel Fargo (played by Rip Torn) in Dawns Early Light….

I think both of them, (McCain and Graham), should have starred in, ” Grumpy Old Men”.

  • HELENK2

the video should be available later today. McCain on the Fox News Shepard Smith only made things worse. He really does not understand the whole point of the filibuster. Instead of trying to understand, he attacks. Bad Move. Time to retire gracefully

  • politicsisdirty

Retire John McCain and Lindsay Graham!

  • Dave L.

I live in Arizona, and McCain will never get my vote again. I really think he has lost it. He is getting senile. I have listened to him on local talk shows and he has to be led directly to the answer, he is incapable of rational thought. Ronnie Milsap wrote a song that fits him perfectly, “LOST IN THE 50″S TONIGHT !!

I’ll leave damning to Hell to God. But I sure do wish the old guard in both the Senate and the House would finally find the grace to bow out. The group think and cronyism is so thick and stinky that I can see it and smell it from here in CO..

Using an analogy from a different, much older religion, we need to cleanse the Augean Stables in D.C., and maybe Rand Paul, our new Heracles, can do it with the help of some of the younger people.

  • Deapster

Look at it this way. McCain and the Old Guard are a perfect foil to vividly show the contrast of this new direction the young Republicans are taking their party.

Let the old curmudgeons crank on. Showcasing the new blood in the party is what I call A Good Thing.

There are more numbers in this younger generation conservatives than in this dying breed of old war horses that got us to this point of needed party structural change anyway.

Rand Paul is just stating the obvious like his squeaky voiced father has been doing all along ….. but appears to have more resonance with this younger generation.

Sorry to see McCain wind up his career in such wretched disgrace. I expect he will be “primaried” if he ever runs again and with good reason. I heard the exchange between him and Shep. Give Shep much credit for confronting him with some unpleasant truths about his interventionist bent. It was hot.

you can not make this up. brennan sworn in with the original draft of the Constitution. one small problem that draft does NOT have the Bill of Rights. they were not added until later

    • FLDemFem

That would include the amendment giving blacks the right to vote, right? So he was sworn in on a document that states that his boss, Obama, is not a person, but property. And for purposes of the census, they counted as 5/7th of a person, if I recall correctly. I am not sure of the fraction, but it was less than 1.

  • sowsear1

    What’s Graham’s excuse?

    • HELENK2

      ego

    • Popsmoke

Tea Party wants to run someone against him.. So the sap is becoming Antila the Senator to apease those who would send him back to private practice.

  • Van_Dessel

McCain can take John Brennan with him.

  • getfitnow

While another Senator was doing the job he swore an oath to
perform, McCain and Graham were having a surrender dinner with the President
who has spent the last five years destroying our country.

It’s about time someone stood up for the Constitution. It’s also about time that people like McCain and Graham retired. They represent not only what is wrong with the GOP, but along with the DEMS, everything that’s wrong with our country.

I’m with you, Larry. They both (and a a number of others) can go to HELL.

  • HELENK2

someone mentioned on another place about the fact that while McCain and Graham and the other senators were smooching with backtrack, his people brought ban ladin’s son in law to NYC for trial. Did backtrack happen to mention that during diner? Apparently congress did not know it was going to happen.

  • HELENK2

here is the video of McCain and Smith today. a much watch

    • HELENK2

he never did understand the point of the filibuster. He kept going off the subject of just what the bill of rights promises Americans.
Yes there are other things going on in congress. I would hope to hell they can chew gum and walk at the same time. There is never just one thing going on. he just does not get it

Brennan takes oath on draft Constitution—without Bill of Rights

The Constitution itself went into effect in 1789. But troublemaking blogger Marcy Wheeler points out that what was missing from the Constitution in 1787 is also quite symbolic: The Bill of Rights, which did not officially go into effect until December 1791 after ratification by states.

That means: No freedom of speech and of the press, no right to bear arms, no Fourth Amendment ban on “unreasonable searches and seizures,” and no right to a jury trial.

McCain, Holder, Graham are now, through Paul’s filibuster, beginning to give answers to questions that the American public have not asked. Why?

What is the classified problem that our elected officials are now debating in public, but hiding within their dialogue?

Larry – kick over some rocks and find out what lies beneath.

You need to step up and dig a bit deeper.

  • no_longer_a_democrat

I’m frankly stunned that Mccain, who as a dimocrat in 2008 I voted and campaigned for, and Graham are this freaking war hungry. I”m pretty hawkish, but being hawkish doesn’t mean throwing out the US constitution that protects americans from its own govt. I went to several rallies protesting against Bush, but even Bush’s atty general didn’t declare as Holder did that americans on american soil have ZERO due process.

    WTF!?!?

and where the hell are all these damn fking liberals?!?!? Sorry, but I’m pissed!

and oh yea, wasn’t Holder the same man who defended all these nonamerican terrorists who reside in terrorist, so he’s fine with defending them, but americans on american soil, hey, no problem using drones on them

and the disgusting American MSM! NOT ONE PEEP FROM THEM!

I don’t agree on Rand Paul on everything, but I’m so glad I donated to him and he won! we need more rand pauls!

With a move – Allen West?

  • http://twitter.com/boofran Betty Foshay

I can’t believe I supported and voted for this sell out. Most of my support was for Sarah Palin though.

Here we have the truth set out for all to see. McCain either had to get up and by condemning Senator Paul give the media an something to change the subject with because he is so utterly compromise by Obama and the establishment republicans – or – because he is an egotistical idiot who had his “I had dinner and a movie with Obama” parade rained on by three Senators who are supposed to STFU and be glad McCain and Graham let them in the club.
