Count me as a fan and supporter of Vladimir Putin. He is doing the right thing vis-a-vis Syria while President Barack Obama, wrapping himself in the bodies of dead children, is trying desperately to bamboozle America and the world and manufacture a reason to start a war in Syria. Fact of the matter is that the United States is already in beach of international law and guilty of acting like an outlaw. We have taken it upon ourselves to try to destabilize a legitimate government and are supporting radical Sunni Muslims.
You need to be keenly aware of the “dog that has not barked.” More than 20 years ago, when I worked in Counter Terrorism Office at the US Department of State, Libya mounted a failed terrorist attack from the sea against Israel. My boss at the time, Ambassador Morris Busby, at the behest of President George HW Bush, embarked on a briefing tour of the Mediterranean. He was accompanied by intel analysts, documents, photos, sensitive intercepts. He had the works. His mission? Convince the Italians, the Greeks, the French and the Egyptians that Libya was responsible for a failed terrorist attack. This was a slam dunk briefing. The facts were indisputable.
Why do I raise that experience? Because Obama and his team DO NOT HAVE SIMILAR FACTS.
One of two things is going on–either we have had a massive intelligence failure or the intelligence does not exist. I already know the answer. As I noted more than a week ago, friends inside the intelligence community have indicated that the case against Assad and the Syrian Government is totally contrived–made up–it is a ruse.
Hell, Obama and the French cannot even agree on the number of casualties. This entire charade was intended to lay the case for taking out Assad as part of a broader action to weaken Iran. This entire charade was at the behest of the Saudis and the Netanyahu faction in Israel.
But other evidence is emerging that points the blame at the rebels. WND reports the following:
However, in a classified document just obtained by WND, the U.S. military confirms that sarin was confiscated earlier this year from members of the Jabhat al-Nusra Front, the most influential of the rebel Islamists fighting in Syria.
The document says sarin from al-Qaida in Iraq made its way into Turkey and that while some was seized, more could have been used in an attack last March on civilians and Syrian military soldiers in Aleppo.
The document, classified Secret/Noforn – “Not for foreign distribution” – came from the U.S. intelligence community’s National Ground Intelligence Center, or NGIC, and was made available to WND Tuesday.
It revealed that AQI had produced a “bench-scale” form of sarin in Iraq and then transferred it to Turkey.
A U.S. military source said there were a number of interrogations as well as some clan reports as part of what the document said were “50 general indicators to monitor progress and characterize the state of the ANF/AQI-associated Sarin chemical warfare agent developing effort.”
“This (document) depicts our assessment of the status of effort at its peak – primarily research and procurement activities – when disrupted in late May 2013 with the arrest of several key individuals in Iraq and Turkey,” the document said.
Thank God that Russia understands what is afoot and is not going to let the United States create another radical Islamic disaster in the heart of the Middle East. Barack Obama has not right to stake the future of American interests in the Middle East in propping up rebels allied with the Muslim Brothers and Al Qaeda.
