The following picture captures the insanity that is Barack Obama:
Obama is spending your taxpayer dollars to post a guard at a monument that normally is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and does not require access any kind of controlled access. To now set up barricades to prevent people from visiting these public sites is beyond petty. This is outrageous. It is one thing to close the American History museum at the Smithsonian, which is a building you must enter and houses artifacts that, if not closely guarded, could be stolen. But that’s not the case for the Lincoln Memorial or the Vietnam Memorial or the Jefferson Memorial or the WW II and Korean War memorials. This is just pure vindictive chickenshit on the part of Obama and his group of thugs.
I personally think the Government shutdown is great. It will hurt the Washington, DC metro area, which has become a mecca for people who want to suck off the Government tit. There is no inherent shame in working for the Federal Government, but increasingly the Government is taking more resources from the private sector and those working for the Feds make more money, with more benefits than the average American. There is no accountability in our Government.
Doubt me? Just look at the latest spectacle of a former EPA employee who pretended to be a CIA agent and bilked the Feds of more than a million dollars. And what happened to him? He gets his publicly funded pension. Same as the IRS hag, Lois Lerner. The problem is that politics takes precedence over sound management and ethical governing.
Washington, DC is out of control. Both Republicans and Democrats share responsibility for this mess. Both Republicans and Democrats, at least the establishment types, are feeding at the trough of public funds. Since the founding of our Republic there have always been insiders seeking patronage and profit in Washington. But none greater than now.
Speaking of politics, do not be surprised if news breaks today or tomorrow on the terrorism front that Obama will use, just as he did with the killing Bin Laden meme, to pump up his national security cred. Of course, as with Bin Laden, the truth about Obama’s dithering in making a decision he should have and could have made a month ago will not been reported by the media. Such is the politics of Washington.
