David Brooks Calls Obama a Pussy

Okay. I apologize to the ladies, but this is too rich to pass up. That crude phrase encapsulates the essence of David Brooks’ comment yesterday regarding the feckless Barack Obama. Here. Judge for yourself.

So, Obama’s got a “manhood” problem. Is that a gay slur?

When David Brooks, my former neighbor, starts questioning you toughness and testosterone levels, you are in big trouble. Davey doesn’t exactly project the Alpha male image. It is sort of like Pee Wee Hermann labeling you a weakling. “I know you are but what am I?”

Come to think of it, the more I watch Obama’s stumbling on the world stage, the more I’m reminded that he’s just like Pee Wee:

What do you think?

UPDATE

Is this the song?

I personally think calling Obama a pussy is just plain wrong, he lacks both the depth and warmth . In 2016, I hope that the enlightened voters that elected Obama remember what happens when you vote for someone based soley on the color of their skin, and don’t vote for someone based soley on their sex !!

    • Deapster

But… but … but … Obama has already shown us he has 9 lives and 9 lies — none of which have caused any fatal damage to him at all. He indeed is a feline medium for the dark forces.

Beyond crazy… what kind of law allows this?

    • Deapster

Adverse possession, where someone asserts rights by possession against the owner who for whatever reasons did not terminate a tenancy on his property – the laws that control adverse possession differ from state to state

I don’t know what they are in Florida but the key word apparently in this article is this squatter had “established residency” – perhaps under Florida law he met some sort of protected adverse possession standard.

Which does not mean he gets to stay, but it does mean he will have to get this resolved in court under Florida property law, whatever that is.

I think it stinks, but adverse possession under varied criteria has long been part of our Anglo-American property rights heritage.

Well dog my cats, a Conservative media outlet has actually heard of Sy Hersh.

Turkey Cooks the Books in Syria

The reality is that numerous former intelligence officials, like myself, have long known most of the story surrounding the on-again off-again intervention by the United States and others in Syria, but what was needed was a Sy Hersh, with his unmatched range of contacts deep in both the Pentagon as well as at CIA and State Department, to stitch it all together with corroboration from multiple sources. In a sense it was a secret that wasn’t really very well hidden but which the mainstream media wouldn’t touch with a barge pole because it revealed that the Obama Administration, just like the Bushies who preceded it, has been actively though clandestinely conspiring to overthrow yet another government in the Middle East. One might well conclude that the White House is like the Bourbon Kings of France in that it never forgets anything but never learns anything either.

    • Deapster

Take away lines from the link:

….” Hersh reports how President Barack Obama had to back down from attacking Syria when the Anglo-American intelligence community informed him flatly and unambiguously that Damascus was not responsible for the poison gas attack that took place in Damascus on August 21, 2013 that was being exploited as a casus belli.

The information supporting that assertion was known to many like myself who move around the fringes of the intelligence community, but the real revelation from Hersh is the depth of Turkish involvement in the incident in order to have the atrocity be exploitable as a pretext for American armed intervention, which, at that point, Erdogan strongly desired.”…….

    • DianaLC

Thanks for this link. Very interesting article. this is the first one I’ve seen to reference “Alewife” Muslims. My daughter-in-law is Turkish and has mentioned this group.
Understanding the differences between all the Muslim groups is an arduous task. I have spent a long time learning the differences between the different denominations of Christians, I am only beginning to understand the differences between the Muslim groups.
As I understand it, the Alewites in Turkey often refer to themselves as “non-religious.” They became very secular under Attaturk. Erdogan is clearly leaning Sunni, and also trying to bring back more of the Ottoman leanings. What a mess all this is.

It really doesn’t matter how much money is wasted on recycling here in California because it goes into the pockets of recycling contractors who then turn it around to the political campaigns of those who mandate recycling. Now do you understand how it works?

    • S7teen70six

      Yeah, they recycle the green.

      • Deapster

        LOL

    • Deapster

By golly, you explained the mutual back scratching perfectly in this state.

      CA: 3rh highest teacher pay in the nation;
47th in education outcomes in the nation.

Something clearly is not working in our union dominated state government.

    • BannedAgain18

This goes deeper then just being a pussy,
this is a mind set of a person who sees nothing
    but their own truth.
His weakness creates lasting earthquakes that ruin
countries and the perception that others see,
is simply a man with no balls.
The word pussy has nothing to do with gender, there are plenty of women who have stood their ground in history,
who had more balls then this con man

    • Deapster

Margaret Thatcher – just watched a few dramatizations of her life: early career and her time during the Falklands crisis. Tough, principled and not only had balls, but the respect of her male colleagues in what was still very much a man’s world. (According to the dramatizations – plus a loving man by her side.)

This was a very valuable half hour to spend. Thank you very much for sharing this. I wonder what the rebuttal is besides wounded howls because they did what appeared to be a very credible job myth-busting recycling.

I count myself in the camp of “true believers”, but this has really given me pause. In Calif of course the train has left the station and it is so deeply imbedded that it will now not be shaken from our culture.

But I wonder also how much this too is draining from California financial resources.

      • S7teen70six

It is certainly worth asking whether the net effect of recycling benefits society or creates unintended environmental problems. Perhaps the answer is both.

        • Retired_from_SPOnaj

Kind of like the net effect of outlawing most station wagons many years ago, pushing their drivers into Chevy Suburbans, which guzzle even more gas.

Saw a clip of McCain on the Sell-out Joe Show on MSDNC this morning and was barking his usual war drums regarding Ukraine.

But in the middle of his rant he said that we (the U.S.) should facilitate Ukraine’s entry into the E.U.

    1. The U.S. is NOT in the E.U. and it should not be the role of the U.S. to facilitate anything regarding the E.U. Let those toads speak for themselves.

    2. He clearly showed that what I thought all along that this is NOT about NATO and is about economics. Therefore the NATO reason was a false reason for getting us involved.

    3. No nation has more of an investment in Ukraine than Russia where the country is littered with Russian natural gas pipelines which McRino probably is clueless of.

    4. “Russia has already spelt out its objectives in Ukraine: the Kremlin wants the country to have a new constitution allowing total autonomy for the eastern regions. In addition, Russia demands that this new settlement must guarantee Ukraine’s non-aligned status – in other words, rule out membership of Nato or the European Union for ever.”

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/vladimir-putin/10765533/What-does-Vladimir-Putin-want-in-Ukraine.html

Not only does that seem reasonable it should be expected by any clear headed diplomat and leader. Maybe McRino doesn’t read much or maybe McRino just wants war.

The segment with McRino was introduced with Biden speaking in Ukraine and he said “no nation has the right to take land from another nation” and he repeated it. He and Obama feel so passionately about that then when are they preparing to give back the entire southwest of the U.S. all the way to California to Mexico?

    • Dave L.

NATO, stands for, Not Able To Organize !

    • S7teen70six

McInsane is (as usual) flashing back to his good ole cold war days. I’m surprised that his girlfriend and their girlfriend didn’t chime in too.

This conflict started when the EU demanded that Ukraine accept their demand that it financially disengage from Russia. The President of Ukraine declined the demand. That is what set in motion the sequence of events that led to the Kiev and Crimea coups.

You don’t hear McInsane talking about that. You don’t hear anyone equally as daft from the Democrat party (sorry for the redundancy) talking about that either. The media has apparently never heard the story even though it is well documented and readily accessible to anyone willing to look for it.

      • Deapster

Ukraine like most other post-Soviet satellites is too riddled with cronyism, corruption and demographic issues to function yet in the big time. Baltics did okay but they were tighter and surrounded by western functioning nations and could take some clues. But the further away from the west, it appears they remain in their own world of a failing transition into western operations.

      • KenoshaMarge

I don’t hear McCain talking about anything – because I don’t listen to the old fool.

        • BannedAgain18

but you and Larry Johnson voted for him!

          • Deapster

Sure we voted for him; we considered the alternative and the choice was easy.

Don’t forget I saw your boy Obama “heal” fainting ladies way early in the game in 2008 and learned he was nothing more than a chilling, number one con-man.

I guess you still haven’t figured this out. Dumb and devious like Obama is far, far worse than deft and difficult like McCain.

            • KenoshaMarge

Given the choice we were offered I’d vote for McCain instead of Obama all over again. I have little use for McCain – none at all for Obama.

          • KenoshaMarge

So what troll – I’ve often had to vote for the lesser of two evils. At the time he was that.

Whole lot of people are regretting voting for Obama now.

I also voted for Romney who would have been so much better than what YOU voted for!

Don’t bother responding – I broke my own rule about interacting with a troll. I won’t do it a second time. Piss off!

Barbara Walters, of 20/20, did a story on gender roles in Kabul, Afghanistan, several years before the Afghan conflict. She noted that women customarily walked five paces behind their husbands. She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walk behind their husbands. Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime the women now seem happy to maintain the old custom.Ms. Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, “Why do you now seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?.

“The woman looked Ms. Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, …”Land mines.”

Moral of the story:.. no matter what language you speak or where you go, behind every man there’s a smart woman.

  • BannedAgain18

It is correct. Obama does have a “manhood” problem. A president with a Big Swinging Manhood would have taken a bull horn by the handle and invaded a country by now. Just to prove how Big his Big Swinging Manhood really was.

And then when you leave office you paint pussycats.

    What is new pussycat?

    • Deapster

Actually, Barky has an arrested adolescence problem. When he should have been growing up and seasoning by life’s experiences, he was smoking dope. You see this in other addicts.

Their emotional IQ stops at the age they substituted the addiction for the lessons of life. Obama learned to con people to mask over and survive his own failed emotional, experiential and intellectual growth.

As recently said about him by even Chris Matthews, he developed an outward veneer, a speaking style straight out of the black church of increasing emotional rhetoric with response chants.

He was lucky to get on the affirmative-action train, had some well placed anti-establishment radical friends who decided he was the man of the hour and off he rode on his one-trick pony.

      • KenoshaMarge

It was interesting to hear Juan Williams prattling on and on about the terrible decision the Supreme Court made about the citizens of Michigan being able to decide if they want affirmitive action in their state universities. Apparently unless AA get “special” treatment they aren’t getting their civil rights. Ditto Beckel on “The Five”.

Maybe it’s just me but why should standards be lowered for anyone? Black, white, rich, poor or gender? I absolutely believe in a level playing field and unless and until that is true, for everyone, the best and the brightest will not be our legacy to the future.

I think it’s misogynist and racist to assume that women and AA students need special treatment to succeed. Fair treatment based only on acheivement yes – special treatment because of race or gender – hell no.

        • S7teen70six

I think it’s misogynist and racist to assume that women and AA students need special treatment to succeed.

I suppose it is a pure coincidence that the party that gave us slavery believes that women and blacks are minorities that are by nature handicapped.

another classically deceptive Larry Johnson post…

actually Brooks does not say Obama has a manhood problem. he says that people like you Larry Johnson says he has a manhood problem and that Brooks himself largely disagrees with that…

    read the full quote:

“BROOKS: Basically since Yalta we’ve had an assumption that borders are basically going to be borders and once that comes into question if in Ukraine or in Crimea or anywhere else, then all over the world all bets are off. And let’s face it, Obama, whether deservedly or not, does have a — I’ll say it crudely — but a manhood problem in the Middle East. Is he tough enough to stand up to somebody like Assad or somebody like Putin? I THINK A LOT OF THE RAP IS UNFAIR but certainly in the Middle East there is an assumption that he’s not tough enough.”

Brooks gets his history wrong. After Yalta, the Soviet Union invaded both Hungary and Czechoslovakia, and the US did nothing about either. Did Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Supreme Allied Commander who destroyed Adolf Hitler, have a “manhood problem”?

If Obama has a manhood problem for not getting more militarily involved in the Middle East and talking tough, then what does that make Larry Johnson? Larry Johnson has been advocating that we side with Putin and just hand over the Ukraine to Putin and we should actually support Assad.

      • BannedAgain18

Not sure what Brooks would have the nerve to say in a “bath house”.

But, David Brooks has some balls for being one of the biggest cheerleaders of the Iraq War, even though he himself is nothing but a chicken hawk who talks a good game, but has never actually done any military service or has had to suffer the consequences of politicians with so-called big “manhoods”.

        • S7teen70six

You see Tommy, you are a complete idiot. You are under the delusional premise that any of us here put any stock in a single thing David Brooks says. This is a pot calling the kettle black moment. I realize that is something a bit too difficult for you to comprehend. All it really means is that Davie can’t keep it up for Barry anymore. And he blames it all on Barry for not being butch.

    • Deapster

Sorry obot, the story was Brooks awkwardly groping for the right words to describe Obama — you must have missed that part. That was the beginning and the ending of the story. Makes one heck of an “optic”.

    • KlugerRD

“And let’s face it, Obama, whether deservedly or not, does have a — I’ll say it crudely — but a manhood problem in the Middle East.”

No, Brooks said he has a manhood problem. “Period” (to quote Obama). Not even a libturd like you can spin this.

It is a combination of Obama generally being feckless as well as NEVER had a minute’s worth of management or leadership experience before in his empty life. I know people in their late 20′s with far more experience than Obama had at 48.

World leaders operate at a different level than a neophyte like Obama and knew they had a weakling in early 2009 when he embarked on his ridiculous (and dangerous) apology tour. Whether you libturd choose to acknowledge it or not but that apology tour immediately emboldened all the radical Islamist groups and especially Al Qaeda who sensed weakness and were right.

The U.S. and the world have to suffer for another few years with a weak and feckless leader.

      • S7teen70six

We can’t expect little Tommy to understand all this big politics stuff. Besides, he is giving his level best Common Core responses to daily events. Surely we can’t fault him for that.

When children make obvious mistakes we should not immediately chide them. I prefer to laugh and point fingers first.

        • Deapster

Downton Abby is painting a very sympathetic picture of the landed gentry, the “rich, white and privileged” as they would be described by the Occupy crowd. PBS must have missed this humane bias.

          • KenoshaMarge

I don’t see them as sympathetic so much as clueless. They have never known anything but privilege and have no clue what it’s like for the other half.
