Delius and Florida Suite… Open Thread

Below is the third movement called “Sunset – Near the Plantation,” from Florida Suite by Delius (obtained from YouTube**). The bit from 3:59 to 4:59 is perhaps one of the most delightful pieces of music I have ever heard. The text accompanying my CD* attributes the inspiration to a “well enough known theme sung, it may be supposed, by the black plantation workers in Florida, the setting of the sun leading to a dance with elements of apparent Spanish origin, heard through the prism of black America.”
I am no expert but I have this little quirk, my spouse tells me, of zeroing in on the little sections in any composition that have the most melody. When I listen to that one minute (from 3:59 to 4:59), I invariably start swaying and smiling silly — it makes me happy. The rhythm of the strings, the lone English horn (I think) intruding so gallantly at 4:41, and the cymbals at 4:59 (watch out, they are loud) leading to an ecstacy of sound…
Now, tell me about your music and your musical quirk, if any.
