Yeah, but then he co-founded a pop idol-type ‘political’ magazine and by the time the first issue was out, this was seen as both signaling that he was ready to take on the short march to the presidency and had suddenly acquired a lifetime of political knowledge and experience. So BO was certainly not the first example of American Idolatry defining the political process nor is likely to be the last.

Wow, I wish Bill WOULD run! The elder Kennedy brothers are two of my heroes, but I think it’s ridiculous to think of patching in political naif Caroline just because of her maiden name. Remember when people were talking about John Jr. as Prez candidate, when the man probably had no such thoughts himself? Well, I guess commentators have to talk about something besides the possibility that our Prez-elect is ineligible.

She could, however, begin to explore her options for 2010.

I see the pick of Caroline Kennedy as just stuffing the Senate with another Obama stooge.
What has she ever done before Obama put her on his VP exploration team? To me she is a political lightweight with no resume, except being a Kennedy.
Now, if Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was chosen, I’d have no beef because he has been a leading activist for his entire adult life.
