UPDATE on NQ – What’s Up with the Black Page?

[NasuS here: LisaB was an enormous help to me today. We spent hours on the telephone until we tracked down the problem. It is solved. That's all I should say. One thing we had to do to discover the source of the problem was remove some stories and all the comments below. So you're going to find a couple or more stories where there are no comments, or the comments are listed at the end of the story. Thank you so very much, LisaB. You're a rock, and you had great ideas as we stumbled around trying to figure out what was wrong. Thank god we found it! What a day, huh.]

As many of you have kindly let us know, page 2 of NQ is appearing black. nasuS is working on a solution and we hope to have NQ more “readable” soon!

It’s white for about 2 seconds. Somewhere, in the page instructions the background color is getting reset from 255-255-255 (white) to 0-0-0 (black). If you have any kind of text file associated with the page, look for that.

Hm. I just discovered that I can read this if I highlight it. How very strange.

It is also possible that the frames which are the background blocks are not there at all (not being created or not being relayed), but since the highlighting works properly I’m sticking with my first theory, that they are there but the color info disappeared.

Okay, my tinhat is glowing. Everything is OK again, but all of the over 250+ comments on a previous thread (Exhaustive Analysis) have gone missing. This thread was very active when the “blackout” occurred. Was malicious code piggybacked into that thread via the comment window? Is this even possible? (Told you my tinfoil beanie was glowing).

Csuzeq, according to Susan’s update at the top of the page, the comments were removed as part of the troubleshooting process. My guess is that bad code got into the system somehow, but that’s just a guess. PooPoo happens. Don’t worry! Joy to the world!

Key question is whether any screen shots of scrubbed items got lost in the process. That would make me wonder, unless there is a totally benign tech explanation.

The criminal complaint is in pdf, large print, double-spaced, easy to read. It contains only enough information needed to arrest the Gov. and Harris. What else will be revealed?

As I read the complaint what was astonishing to me is the ease in which Blago and cohorts spoke about what the President Elect could and would do to help them.

Quite obviously they were all connected, knew what could be expected even though there could not be an overt direct connection at that time.

They KNEW the President Elect would be available to cooperate with their wishes as soon as O. found a way to put some distance between himself and the deed.

After reading the complaint I don’t think Blago and friends had a clue they might be taped.

It is well worth reading to learn from participants themselves how we citizens have been duped by politicians and their elitist friends.

The electoral college meets Dec. 15. Obama has already been untruthful about meeting with Blago. Obama supported Blago politically. In the complaint Rezko is deeply involved with Blago in demanding bribes from contractors before they receive state funding. How can O. be close to Rezko and not be involved?

For some unknown reason the Ill. State Legislature has refused to reveal Obama’s voting records. Is O. connected to some of the Ill. political corruption?

Seems Jessie Jackson, Jr. is candidate 5 who offered to raise funds for Blago in return for the senate seat. Jackson is an Obama Deputy Campaign Manager.

There are too many unanswered questions regarding Obama for the electoral college to vote at this time, the vote should be postponed.

I wish that could happen, but I doubt it would. Some legality about how Bush has served 2 terms and we could not postpone giving him an extra long term or extra term.

Maybe we can have some National disaster and Bush can use that executive order 51 or whatever it is where he can cancel all Government action? Something like that. I never thought I’d be counting on something from Bush!

I think one of these directives gives Bush power to stop the inauguration. I saw earlier this year that he could cancel the election based on these directives. Too bad he didn’t. I thought it was 51, but maybe something else. This list is fascinating regardless:

There were some excellent comments on the thread that experienced the main brunt of the blackout.

Laughing out loud at the comment above calling NQ racist for the paint it black episode.

If this whole Blago-drama wasn’t something we all saw coming so long ago… I sent tons of emails ranting about Blago and Rezko even before the Rezko trail started. I checked my email out of my “i told you so” curiosity, and there were tons of Blago warnings sent out to obamazombies i know.

Frustration over them STILL sticking up for the straw man. It is just insane that they do not know and cannot see what a fraud he is. They have no clue what this is all about – but they all say they are relieved ob said he isn’t involved… AND they just freaking believe him. UGHHHHHHHH.

and did you all change you settings to a 19in monitor or something cuz it’s set up for some large viewing now and my 17 inch set at 800X has a major run off
have you set it up past 1280 or something?

I can’t keep up with technology and my pos is best at 800X…………. did you all do that intentionally?

Yes, that was a very active lively thread. There were also a lot of troll comments, and many of them suddenly disappeared. Shortly after that, the “blackout” occurred. It makes me suspect that the blackout had something to do with the activity on Truthteller’s “Exhaustive Analysis” thread. Does anybody have a good idea about this just to shut me up?
