Can There Be Enough On Blagojevich?

Um, no – no there can’t! This whole corruption issue is a mighty big one, for Illinois, the country, and the PEBO. The following is a pretty good video at encapsulating some of the players involved. I might add, the maker of this video (and the others following) has a point I had not even noticed – hardly ANYONE mentions that Blagojevich is a Democrat. Interesting that. Anyhoo – here is the first video:

And then there is this one about Obama and Blagojevich (which stands on its own, regardless of m1media’s editorial comment):

Funny – the media hasn’t been mentioning THAT a whole lot – that Obama endorsed Blagojevich TWICE. TWICE. Are we really supposed to believe that, out of the clear blue sky, after all these years, the Governor is JUST now becoming corrupt?? Hahahahaha!!!

This one is a two-fer: Blagojevich AND Jesse Jackson, Jr., that arrogant, sexist, liar:

And just for fun, this one, which has Campbell Brown near the beginning – after all of the photos of Obama and Blagojevich together (Ahem) – but then Charleston Son, Stephen Colbert:

So I was wrong – Lincoln isn’t rolling over in his grave – Colbert has him!

The timing of all of this is no accident, of that I am sure. And I do have to wonder why, when Blagojevich KNEW he was under investigation, he continued to use his personal phone? Did he really think he was above reproach, or was he looking to take someone else down with him? Just wondering…

This one on the Blago defense for all their benefit…

Obama didn’t just endorse Blago, he helped run his campaign.

      You betcha!

Hmmmm….Perhaps Hot Rod just figured the protective GLOw BUBBLE that surrounds the Plastic Messiah would suffice…Kinda makes senseas the World has turned Topsy Turvy…And PEBO the Ineligible Usurper bced by Foreign Interests will take the Oath that has lost meaning…sigh…
Soeterobama is a FASCIST…Aaaand an INTERLOPER who is UNFIT for any elective Office….

    • lark

Workingclass, Blago is a truth mirror on which these politicians and the MSM can look reflectively on themselves. To me an American hero in the tragic sense.

  • wodiej

Great post…your last paragraph is a good question. One thing I can believe is Blagojevich thought he was was above the law-just ike Obama, Ayers, many, many others. The house of cards will come tumbling down sooner or later. JJ Jr. is going down. probably Obama’s chief of staff, Illinois Governor, Illnois governor chief of staff….the media and Obama supporters are going to look pretty damn pathetic by the time this is all said and done.

    • lark

Soliciting a bribe is one thing. Offering a bribe is another. Who is soliciting in this case and who is offering? Obama says he never offered. Fat chance. If you have a solicitor complaining of a poor offer you then have to have had an offer. And no, Blago is not crazy. Is obvious he was dealing in governmental business with governmental functionaries.

      • Pennsylvania Red

And no, Blago is not crazy.

Blago (nor anyone else) would be able to successfully make the case that he is “crazy”.
The very idea is offensive to anyone who suffers a legitimate mental illness. Mental illness takes away the functionality of the one afflicted and seriously impacts his or her loved ones. If Blago really had any kind of disease, he would have had treatment, documentable incidents (some involving the law and or involuntary commitment) and at the very least, a longterm course of anti-psychotic meds.

I can’t believe that the MSM is attempting to make this case and I’m stunned that the mental health advocates aren’t on this like a rash.
It isn’t up to Blago’s political associates nor journalists to decide whether or not he is sick.
That’s a call for medical professionals to make.

And if it hasn’t been made by now, then obviously there was no reason to.

Sadly, it seems that Obama, like Bush, IS above the law, and the Constitution, to boot. Oh, well – since most of the people in this country don’t even know what’s IN the Constitution, they don’t seem to concerned when we try to tell them it’s being shredded. Sigh.

I agree though, wodiej, I think he DID think he was in the Obama protective bubble. For the life of me, I cannot understand these people like Blago, or JJJr., who think that THEY will not be cast aside in a skinny-second if it looks like they are trouble for The One. Talk abt delusional blindness. Blindness has been the hallmark of those pushing Obama, but you would think those in office would actually take note that he will NOT back them under any circumstance. I mean, really – when the guy will trash his own grandmother on a national stage, what in the WORLD makes them think he will “be there” for them?!??! Absurd.

  • Diana L. C.

Yes–it’s absolutely insane. It’s insane that the MSN created the myth that O came out of Chicago without a trace of the corruption. He must have brushed it off his shoulders or something. It’s insane that the MSN didn’t check with some of the people in Chicago until now, and it’s insane that they now decide to accuse the governor of being “suddenly” insane. What’s insane is that people–the ONE being one of them–kept backing him all along and didn’t speak up. Maybe they liked him that way; it served their purposes. Maybe they thought the MSN would continue ignoring Chicago.

Makes me want to throw up.

I am very angry at the obots for their smug belief that they know everything.

        That’s for sure.

I am a fan of Blago. I have been since Truthteller wrote his piece explaining that Blago always said his intent was to name himself to the post.

RRRA thank you thank you for that fourth video clip.

    Yes, Blago is the greatest.

First as you can see in the 4th video he is a mirror to the MSMs. Every time they call him coo coo and delusional they reflect themselves and describe themselves since they have been covering the Obambi campaign and never ever saw any fault in him.

Second, if Blago is guilty of something, what is he guilty of? He is being charged from doing business with other government and prominent State citizens. It is not as if he was dealing with the mafia. So his audiences are other politicians, like Barack Obama himself, and prominent Democratic congressmen and staffers.

My theory of course is that if you rob a bank and the bank has absolutely no money then all you should get is a reprimand. You can’t rob something from nothing. Dumb yes, but then you wrote a story but no crime was committed.

So Blago by himself may be able by bringing light to standard political practices to bring healing and honor back to American politics and practice. And the MSM will be ashamed of airing that Blago is being accused of delusional when it is them who are delusional and it is them who have reneged on journalism.

Blago with much difficulty will be found guilty. Why? Because he has probably in all essence conducting the duties he was given as Governor. It was his job to name a successor to Obama, and he could always name himself. JJjr. on the other hand, very easily, because he went to that office to offer a bribe. Rahm Emanuel too because he could have offered a quid pro quo. And probably Obanana because he probably made some offers to the Governor as pay to play favors for his constituents, Rezco and others.

Blagojevich was only doing what Governors do. Bulls***t.

    My 2 cents.

The “distancing” is so obvious, it’s just amazing!
Then you have the Caroline FIX.
The Confluence had a pic up the other day of Obama and Blago and Teddy all dressed up and all together..

    What a crew!!

Then there is Wayne Abraham, our favorite elector! (Ever see a pic of him?–it’s up in the post cited below)
Tom Paine must be spinning in his grave right now…he’s quoted in American Lassie’s latest…

Democracy is a form of government that substitutes election by the incompetent many for appointment by the corrupt few.

    • Kathleen Wynne

      HARP,

You’ve encapsulated exactly what’s happened to our democracy.

All elections are these days is to give the people the “impression” that we are still living in a democracy.

The question is what will it take for the American people to wake up and realize how right you really are?

      • jbjd

We are not a democracy but a democratic republic. There is a difference. We had no obligation to cast votes in the general election for (electors for) a candidate who was Constitutionally eligible to be POTUS; the Electors bear that obligation. Yet they cast their votes for a man they had no idea would be eligible to assume office! That is Treason. Now, we must rely on Congress to refuse to certify the Electoral vote, in order to prevent this Usurper from trespassing in the White House. When the XX Amendment passed in 1933, providing if the President-Elect turns out to be unqualified to take office the Vice-President-Elect shall act in his stead, I cannot imagine the states predicted an ineligible candidate could get that far based only on the fact Electors considered it was politically incorrect to verify his credentials.

        • jbjd

Where is my head? We are a Constitutional Republic. Sorry.

        • Kathleen Wynne

Yes, I realize we live in a republic not a democracy, but that still doesn’t negate the fact that our elections are a sham.

The only power people have in this republic is through the elections process, which has been corrupted to the core. Without elections that truly reflect the will of the people, we exist under tyranny, no matter how much you want to parce words.

BTW, I doubt very seriously our corrupt Congress is going to “do the right thing” and stop obama. The fix was in a long time ago to put obama (the puppet) in the WH, to the detriment of democracy and the grand experiment we affectionately call America.

    • oowawa

Democracy is a form of government that substitutes election by the incompetent many for appointment by the corrupt few.

Problem is, now we’ve got the worst of both worlds: election by the “incompetent many” PLUS “appointment by the corrupt few.”

    Reposted from down below:

From everything I have seen, beginning with his earliest work with Acorn and his very first political moves, it is just beyond obvious to me (I’m from Chg) that BO made it perfectly clear at every step of the way that he was not only thrilled to have a chance to practice politics ‘the Chg way,’ but that he brought a lot of legal strategizing to his efforts.

Here are some of the reasons I think he was determined to prove to the inner dirty circles that he was going to play their game, and help them improve it:

    1) BO got involved with MO before he went into politics, so he had to have had coaching from those who learned at the ward boss knee level — crucial basic training

    2) As soon as he lost his first electoral contest, he did not campaign harder to overcome his obstacles — he redrew his district! District lines are guarded like Fort Knox in Chg politics, and there is no way BO would have been allowed to take over some ‘good’ areas unless he had somehow convinced higherups that he ought to be allowed to do this

    3) His redrawn districts cut out all but the supportive parts of the AA neighborhoods, and expanded to take in lots of latte types and big chunks of the financial district — which is where a lot of early games were played re contributions and Jarrett’s bank moves — nobody with any political power would have let him do that without prior discussion and full quid pro quo both present and future

    4) He used insider-type dirty tricks to knock everyone off the ballot in his key run

    5) In another key run, ‘leaks’ about dirty divorce facts re his opponents just so happened to come out at critical moments — again, not something that is allowed by a powerful political gang to be done to ‘their own’ without prior clearance

    Etc.

Note that none of these moves did not involve BO getting out front and center and gaining votes by being Mr Clean or Mr Democracy.

All of these moves are inherently anti-democratic because they are not transparent, open, or motivated by the best interests of the voters.

So I believe that if Fitz is still looking — and the Rezko house deal certainly seems to still be getting some attention from him recently — there will be plenty to find, all Fitz has to do is look in the right places.

Is it possible that the timing of Blago’s arrest was so that Obama isn’t yet the POTUS and doesn’t have as much protection as he will after 1/20/09?

That’s my hope anyway, even if a slim one.

    • Francis

Obama’s already free and clear on this issue. He announced it at his press conference yesterday. Fitzy asked him to hold off on releasing his report for a week. But keep hope alive!

Doesn’t mean that IL politics isn’t a sewer or Obama is pure as the driven snow. It just means on this issue, Obama and his aides are clean…NEXT.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and the whitey tape will be released before Congress ratifies the results of the election.

Fitz arrestes Blago because the Chicago Tribune Got tired of sitting on the story…The Trib Blew it for the Prosecution…declining readership and all….Sheeesh!

CNN is reporting that Jesse Jackson Jr was wearing a wire when he talked to Blago and Harris.

Not only are indicted/convicted democrats NOT being labeled as (D) by most media, my wife and I were shocked by FOX labeling Blagojevich as (R) during O’Reilly’s Friday show!

    Re: Friday, December 12:
    • Blagojevich scandal grows! We have the latest details, including analysis from Glenn Beck and Mike Huckabee
    • Plus, what the folks are saying about the Washington state Christmas controversy!

    I emailed oreilly@foxnews.com and asked:

“Twice, during interview with Gov. Huckabee, Blagojevich’s picture pops up with “(R)” designation. Times must be tough — how much did you charge to switch party identification from “(D)” to “(R)”…?”

Haven’t received a response. Probably tossed the email — I probably should have been more reserved, and not blasted Bill in the subject line: “Blagojevich a Republican? What’s wrong with you MORONS?”

Palin has spent years being a governor and a mother. And yet how many times did someone question “how can she raise children and be a vice president?”.

Now poor Rahm can’t answer questions because he’s a father. No one calls him on the double standard.
