Unfortunately, I'm not up on all of the Star Wars movies (I know, I know . . . they've been around for only 30 years!). One decadent weekend, I plan on watching all of them marathon style . . . . For now, however, I'm hooked on Grouch Marx movies, my favorite being NIGHT AT THE OPERA. Generally speaking, students work hard and deserve their R&R like everyone else. Many of them are from disadvantaged backgrounds, work during the semester, and are pretty stressed out overall, so I do hope they enjoy and benefit from their academic breaks. Homemade dresses were a sure sign you were not well off when I was growing up. Sewing was the major project at the state fairs in 4-H competition. Who can afford to sew nowadays?
