I’ll never forgive Pelosi for “puting impeachment on the table”….she really screwed up the whole eight years of the GWB/DC administration. And I’m not sure we’re going to have anything much better.
Is this latest moonlight litany-of-laws a “Mission Accomplished” finale, or is there going to be more, like pardoning the lying, cheating Roves, Libbies, et al?

As a nurse who works in OB I am glad he did put the resolution to protect healthcare workers. If I choose not to participate in an abortion I won’t be prosecuted. I appreciate that- personally speaking. As far as what it’s implications on access to abortions I don’t know. I still think that access will be there because there will always be doctors who will do them. But healthcare workers shouldn’t be punished for making their “choice” not to perform them.

Definitely, stop midnight regulations for republicans and democrats, or would that be unfair.

Until this country realizes that the president is only where the buck stops and congress actually writes the laws [ Bush should have vetoed more ], we will continue to be burdened by them.

Obama’s style is not authoritarian? Huh?

On this very issue, he and GWB are so alike. BOth are dictatorial and as such who do not tolerate dissent.

Great cartoon Pat. You captured Bush’s befuddle look perfectly. It still amazes me that someone who looks and sounds clownishly weak and harmless can leave such devestation in his wake. I wonder how much of all this the Obama administration will really work to reverse.

That’s the OBogus First Lady’s beauty problem.

They’re gonna get caught. Not everyone has drunk the manchurian flavored kook-aid. I have a feeling ‘some people’ are just being patient and will pounce when the time is ripe. I think there are a lot of people just like us in higher places that are just taking it all in. Time will tell.

We only know an iota of what is going on. I hope I live long enough to see them busted. We’re the extras in a movie that is going to be a blockbuster!

the bush management style has been Authoritarian — and he’s not at all popular for many of his decisions.

Obama’s management style is going to be very different (permissive/chaos_ — and already he’s managed to piss off whole groups.

The pendulum is swinging so hard that it might swing off its axis.

Clinton’s management style was more Democratic — which is supposed to be the best way to govern.

It is amazing to me to see examples of these three very management styles — one after the other — as if the devil is having his fun playing games with us.

I believe she must select her clothes by the price tags (as IF anyone really cares about the price as an indication of style and elegance).

Trailer trash — some might say.

I’ve seen the same sort of behavior from individuals who have won a huge insurance settlement or won the lottery — or some Hollywood types. When they are dressed by the wardrobe department for their role — they look great — but their own choice in clothes — UGH!

“The Bush administration today issued a sweeping new regulation that protects a broad range of health care workers — from doctors to janitors — who refuse to participate in providing services that they believe violates their personal, moral or religious beliefs.
The controversial rule empowers federal health officials to cut off federal funding for any state or local government, hospital, clinic, health plan, doctors’ office or other entity if they do not accommodate employees who exercise their “right of conscience.” It would apply to more than 584,000 health care facilities.
“Doctors and other health care providers should not be forced to choose between good professional standing and violating their conscience,” Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt said in a statement.
The regulation, which was issued just in time to take effect in the 30 days before the change of administrations, was sought by conservative groups, abortion opponents and others as necessary to safeguard workers from being fired, disciplined or penalized in other ways.”
This is the thing Hillary and Patty Murray were working on.
