Bush Makes Cheat Sheets for Obama

How sad is this? (Except for the Freedom Fairy part, which I regard as more like Realism)

From RBO of course.

Bush Prepares Crisis Briefings Revs Up the Teleprompter to Aid Obama

b-teleprompterEarlier this morning, RBO posted the following in today’s News & Views. Please read all the way to the bottom, where we have an update from FreedomFairy.

Can it be any more clear that PEBO was never the one who would be ready on “Day One”? or if the phone should ring at 3 a.m.?

Even W gets it. Peter Baker writes in the NYT:

The White House has prepared more than a dozen contingency plans to help guide President-elect Barack Obama if an international crisis erupts in the opening days of his administration, part of an elaborate operation devised to smooth the first transition of power since Sept. 11, 2001.

The memorandums envision a variety of volatile possibilities, like a North Korean nuclear explosion, a cyberattack on American computer systems, a terrorist strike on United States facilities overseas or a fresh outbreak of instability in the Middle East, according to people briefed on them. Each then outlines options for Mr. Obama to consider.

The contingency planning goes beyond what other administrations have done, with President Bush and Mr. Obama vowing to work in tandem to ensure a more efficient transition in a time of war and terrorist threat.

Did W put training wheels on PEBO’s desk chair in the Oval Office, too? You can never be too careful.

UPDATE: FreedomFairy made a quick sweep through the White House maintenance shop and discovered the following. Ipsi dixit.

Holy freakin’ crap. You have GOT to be kidding me!!!! Tell me again how this bozo got into the WH? Oh, that’s right – he lied, cheated, and stole his way there. Ah, the (new) American way!

    • DawnelleHeartsComet

Oh, that’s right – he lied, cheated, and stole his way there. Ah, the (new) American way!

what’s really sad is that MOST of the DEMS thought it “served them right” and “they deserved it” having karma reverse on them from W to O.

THAT is the part where they lost me forever. I’ve never subscribed to the OLD TESTAMENT way of living. Eye for an Eye BULLLLLLLLLLLLL!

yep I thought most of them were BETTER THAN THAT!

They always sanctimoniously blathered on and on about how much BETTER THEY WERE THAN REPUBLICANS.

roflmao! indeed. what utter drivel it was all along.

      blech.

      • http://www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com OBAMA IS A FRAUD

Dawnelle is right. When we first started making our film EVERY single liberal Hollywood wing nut friend I have said “so what? The Republicans did it, why shouldn’t WE do it too?” I had a hard time explaining that there are two sides to it. Nevertheless, two wrongs don’t make a right. AND, you can’t even BEGIN to compare the allegations of the Gore/Kerry elections to the 100% start to finish fraud, criminal activity and just plain VILE behavior the Dems have exhibited this time. I’ve never seen anything as corrupt as the DNC and the Fraudbama Campaign. And, how about that ACORN group of THUGS? FEC Violations, the Crook County Sewer full of rats, you name it. Pelosi, Reid, Brazile, Dean, etc.? Wow. It just can’t GET any worse than those thugs and cheats. And it’s pretty obvious at this point that the voter fraus, caucus fraud, bought and paid for media, etc. was planned around four years ago and there was no stopping the Dem Fraud Machine because it was so well-oiled by November 4. The GOP? ROFLMAO. They couldn’t come CLOSE to what the Dems did this last few years. No way.

        • Ani

Do they still say “So what” or are any of the revelations of the past few weeks, i.e., Rick Warren, Blago, cabinet choices, starting to wake them up?

          • http://www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com OBAMA IS A FRAUD

            Ani,

Some of them are rolling their eyes a little over things like Hot Rod and the Clinton Third Term. But I stopped discussing it with these people. They were just too frigging ignorant for me to deal with. I can’t WAIT until I get to say “I Told You So” every day of my life. My business partner constantly tells me that “Fraudbama doesn’t know about any of this” and I just get literally sick to my stomach. He’s a Jew on top of it all and I keep telling him that Israel’s relationship with us is a thing of the past. He doesn’t care. These people live in a BUBBLE and I am ashamed of them.

      • wodiej

makes them rather huge hypocrites doesn’t it? As my Momma always said, when you get even w someone that’s what it makes you-EVEN. You’re no better than they are. And so the Democrats who despise Bush have become him. What a bunch of pathetic losers.

        • http://www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com OBAMA IS A FRAUD

That’s why anyone with decency and brains left the Dem party and will only go back if and when they rid themselves of the scum. My friends who left never looked back and never will.

    • barry bums a ciggie

Holy crap is about right. The economy is collapsing, the dollar is heading for a downward spiral, and Barry needs a cheat cheat to figure out what to do. I thought he was all about the new hope and change that citizens of the world were waiting for? Who can possibly want to hurt the US with Barry the Messiah as our dear leader? Everyday, I get just a little sadder for my country.

  • sandi78

Bambi has achieved the impossible. He’s making George W. Bush look very competent.

    • Typewriterstreaming

“Bambi has achieved the impossible. He’s making George W. Bush look very competent.”
      Ha! Right on target.
What a great picture FF. I don’t know what I fear more – King George’s plans or the notion that Obama won’t have the discretion to know whether or not their in our best interest.

      • DawnelleHeartsComet

        for me

O is making W look human (inept and bumbling) but not deviant despicable demonic evil! The rest perhaps.

lol ack what has happened to this country the extremes have taken over I think. (looking for flying shoes 4 bambi any day now) heh.

        • Morgan

I can kind of understand and empathize with a lot of anti-Bush sentiment over security/privacy issues. I am not personally willing to give up freedom for security.

But I think at worst, his motivations were amped up from September 11, not because he was going to suspend elections and become a dictator. I don’t think exigency is a great excuse, but I do think his motivations were better than a lot of people have maybe believed.

I’ve kind of always liked him as a guy, and I kind of like this story because of that. I think he’s a fairly decent guy to listen to 2 years of campaigning on how he’s the worst president in history and then be as gracious as he has appeared thus far. I doubt he’ll vandalize the White House on the way out.

          • Garry

He ignored the PDB, that nullifies your arguement, for me.

I don’t assume parity, I think White House, and the military DO know what they’re doing.

So I have to ask why?

And if he failed, why are we excusing it?

          • beachnan

Morgan-get your facts straight. Nobody, i.e., the Clintons, vandalized the White House on the way out. That rumor has been proven false. So, please stop peddling that bs as you sound like someone suffering from CDS, Clinton Derangement Syndrome.

    • workingclass artist

Barky is a miracle worker indeed Sandi78…lol

    • AnnieO

I was thinking the same thing! How’s that for “Change”?

      • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhXA3fXpCFk Woman Voter

W also knows that Obama is really BUSH III. So, he’s helping his own legacy.

    • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhXA3fXpCFk Woman Voter

lol, gee I hadn’t grasped that but yes, he is looking very stately. I guess W doesn’t want someone saying that he left the house on fire and pointed to the hose as he exited.

  • sassy_2u2

And how is this a bad thing?? As Americans we should have eachother’s backs!! None of the childish games like removing letters from the computer keyboards and taking furniture. These are serious times and I applaud both Obama and Bush for working together to make sure the transitition goes as smoothly as possible. You call it training wheels- I call it making sure no stone goes unturned

    • jbjd

Anyone who cares about this country is trying to force a reckoning that BO is Constitutionally ineligible to be POTUS so as to prevent his faux swearing-in on January 20. Accommodating his trespass into the Oval Office is Treason.

By aiding and abetting this Usurper, President Bush, our Commander in Chief, commits treason.

    • beachnan

Sassy, I will say this s-l-o-w-l-y, so you can get this right. Nobody ever took the letters off the keyboards when the Clintons left office. It was just another story made up by someone trying to make the Clintons look bad. So, please, quit spreading this falsehood and the typical CDS, Clinton Derangement Syndrome. It will take a year or so, and then you will see, how inept your fearless leader, Obama, really is. But, that’s okay, you just keep spinning your hopey, changey stuff.

      • wodiej

this is another fine example of how clueless Obama supporters are-CLUELESS.

  • C.S.

Brings back a few memories of the 2000 election, doesn’t it? I remember the Clinton administration preparing all this information on terrorists and the Bush administration tossing it aside; didn’t want no advice from Clinton. And now here they are preparing all sorts of scenarios to “help” Soertoro make “decisions”. Will he actually swallow that big ego and use of them?

This is an historical moment, but not for the reason media says, but because the blind is leading the blind and ironically, neither one of them was elected by The People but selected by the government accountable to the People! At this point I really don’t expect accountability from Our government, but I’m still hopefully searching the sky for flying pigs…

    • HARP

      Zing

    • Queenie

to C.S….Right on and right you are ..100%

    • NoBamaNoWay

yep; prez hussein is going to go right ahead with his plans of making friends with the america-haters.

  • KarenG

Not to defend Obama….God forbid. I read that the
Clinton Administration did a similar thing for W
and his incoming people had a sort of laughing party over it and disposed of all the information. We all remember how that worked out when 911 happened.

    • sassy_2u2

Great point. Also during this time in our history- the world is very instable. Both WTC attacks happened soon after a new president took office- 93 and 2001. Of course we do not want to make the same mistakes again. Believe me if it were Hillary or McCain who had won the election they would be going through the same exact hard core prep and briefings as Obama….the times are too unstable to play Mr. or Mrs Know It All

      • Queenie

        to sassy_2u2…….

The world is always unstable..always has been..this is nothing new.

And this is the same GW who threw away all the important warnings Clinton left he and his administration..the same GW admin that ignored all the pre-9/11 warnings..giving advice to another nit wit!

Wow ..now we are supposed to find comfort in this..no thanks..I find no comfort whatsoever in another incompetant boob taking over my White House..I already lived through the deaths of my co-workers on 9/11..I was a lucky one..my co-workers were not..

Obama scares the ever loving shit out of me..just as GW did!..I have no reason to feel better about this!

        NONE!

      • SFIndie

sassy_2u2 – if it were Hillary or McCain, they wouldn’t NEED cheat sheets from the incompetent Bush Administration. They’d KNOW what to do.

Bush giving instructions to The Pretender? Textbook “blind leading the blind” scenario (no offense to the blind).

      • wodiej

well excuse me for pointing out the blatantly obvious difference between Obama and McCain and Hillary. Reading a friggin’ piece of paper w plans on it is hardly enough to make someone qualified to get our country through a crisis. Try a seasoned person like Clinton and McCain, now you’ve got my attention.

    • mimi

I’m sure that Bush has re-written history and decided to conviently forget that part.

  • Garry

    Freedomfairy?

    Can I be the chaosfairy?

  • DeniseVB

How long will the Obama Administration blame Bush for everything that goes wrong from Day One ?

    I can hear those “um,uh,uh,um”‘s now :(

    Obama supporters…..you’ve been punk’d. LOL.

Hey, I’m awol for a time, and a new sassy shows up! I’m the real one from the great state of Tennessee.
To the subject at hand…Bush Jr. got a real eye-opener on 9/11, that took some of the swagger out of his step.
We sure don’t want to go through that again! It will take some competents though to guide this country…and BO is not one of them!
Pray that Mr. Obstinate will stay out of the way for four years, and the voters will elect a President in 2012!

    • oowawa

Hey, I’m awol for a time, and a new sassy shows up! I’m the real one

Sassy, this is why you can never leave NQ, even for a little while. If you disappear, someone will grab your blogname and misrepresent your opinions in who-knows-what ridiculous way. You could become an online Obot overnight, and not even know it! (Sort of like falling asleep next to a pod). You’re just going to have to check in at least once-a-day from now on.

And, hmmmmm . . . it just occurred to me, how do we know you’re really the real “Sassy” after all?!?! And how do I know I’m really the real oowawa?

  • kgirl1028

These fools know somethings up, get ready for My Pet Goat 2: the Jihadist Strkes Back.

  • Strawberrybitch

Bush is leaving Barky pointers on how to handle a possible international crisis…? Whew…for a minute there I was worried.

  • cynic

What’s the big deal? Passing on inside information, advice, and a set of detailed contingency plans are a perfectly normal part of any orderly transistion from one presidencial administration to another. It would represent a shocking level of negligence if any outgoing administration didn’t do this, or if any incoming administration failed to give such information close attention.

    • Strawberrybitch

Reread the article, this apparently goes waaay beyond the normal handing off of info. This is more like a connect the dots or colour by numbers version for someone without a clue…from someone without a clue.

      • Animal Control

        from someone without a clue

        appropriate!

    • cynic

Is a perfectly normal part, I meant to say.

I blame the errosion of my grammatical skills on exposure to 8 years of Bush speeches.

  • david in davenport iowa

Tomorrow night TMC is showing one of fav films. I’ll use a line from that movie to help summarize the thoughts of most reading that story. “Auntie Emm I’m frightend”

    • oowawa

      Auntie Emm I’m frightend”

“Don’t worry child. You’re only having a bad dream. Soon you’ll wake up and everything will be in black and white again.”

      NOT!!!!

      • SFIndie

I’ve been closing my eyes tight, clicking my heels together, and whispering “it’s all a dream, it’s all a dream” forEVER it seems, and when I open my eyes NOTHING is different.

        Auntie Em, I’m scared sh*tliess!!

        • oowawa

“Well, Dorothy, this is what happens when you sing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” with your chin up in the air and a faraway look in your eyes.

And don’t say “sh*tless!” Didn’t I teach you anything back on the farm?”

          • SFIndie

Auntie Em, you taught me to NEVER drink kool-aid from someone I didn’t know, and I promise, I didn’t take even one sip from the uh-uh-um-er man with the big ears. But Auntie, everyone ELSE was drinkin’ til the cows came home and THEY’RE the ones singing now with that faraway – I’d call it vacant – look in their eyes.

It’s too scary Auntie, way too scary, and I want to wake up now. PLEASE!!!

            • oowawa

Let’s see–how did this happen in the first place–I vaguely remember something about falling into a pigpen and losing consciousness–then there was a big storm, seems to have lasted about 8 years–and then the whole house flew away–And then there was the most dazzling beautiful colored light!–And all of these little people running around in lockstep–and a yellow brick road leading to someplace wonderful–and something about a wonderful wizard who could make everything all right and send me home–but it turns out he was just a phony behind a curtain–O wait, if I hold on to that thought, I can feel myself starting to wake up . . .

              • SFIndie

                ROFLMAO

  • http://www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com OBAMA IS A FRAUD

I’m scared shitless too. Either that or pissed off beyond belief EVERY DAY of my life. Nothing good is going to come of this, nothing.

    • HC

I spent some time being pissed off (politely and not visibly to the naked eye) with my known Obama supporting acquaintances and colleagues.

Now I just don’t discuss anything beyond the task at hand with them – they just aren’t worth the effort of sustained irritation.

Most people are simply unable to exercise critical thought. Asking most folks to think is like asking a pig to fly. Not gonna happen. Obama cashed in on this bigtime.

Enjoy the trainwreck. It took the Western Roman Empire 200 years or so to fall, and the Eastern even longer.

  • cathnealon

“Change and hope never looked so bleak” someone posted this yesterday in reference to another article and it has become the phrase that describes BO’s rise to power. No one can compare him to any other president EXCEPT Bus. He is the leftist version of Bush and he and Bush will be the only two presidents who have the distinction of serving so far in a post 9-11 world. Say your prayers.

  • Doc99

I gotta admit that preparing briefings for incoming BO is far classier than the outgoing Clinton juveniles grabbing the W’s off the keyboards on their way out the door.

    • NoBamaNoWay

which, of course, never happened. but you O-lovers are sure willing to believe anything negative about the clintons. here’s a clue: we’ll all be lucky if obama is 1/10th the president bill clinton was or hillary would have been.

  • AOK

A slight prediction: Obama will have a more successful presidency than Bush. You can mark it down. Dubya failed on 2 fronts: He totally ignored our domestic issues while conducting the bogus war in Iraq. Mismanagement of Katrina and the sub-prime collapse are two of the major consequences that we suffered because of this. His second was his total lack of focus concerning Usama Bin Laden. The fact that Bin Laden is playing PlayStation in a cave in Pakistan instead of being anally raped by some convict named Bubba or dead. Obama would have never let this happen. You people need to be realistic. Of course, the incoming administration needs to take all existing intelligence data concerning all possible threats to this nation. That’s called being responsible. There are 300 million Americans whose lives are at stake. Obama can’t afford to be careless or reckless as Bush has been. He’ll just have to continue to prove you PUMAs wrong. Just as he has throughout this entire election.
