As for anyone here being “far right”, when you’re a left-wing-fringer like you, Adlai Stevenson would be far right.

I’m not sure who you think the “angry extreme left” is….because some think that means DailyKossaks, and sorry, they aren’t “leftists” by any measure.
They are the spoiled products of America.
They are the immature political kids of the new generation.
They aren’t able to articulate a “leftist” position to save their life.
They are able to hate Conservatives, but cannot embrace any theories that would cause them to give up their consumer ways.

I would be cautious about thinking that Obama has support in the “angry extreme left” because from what I’ve read for the last few years from places that are considered “extreme left” regardless of anger…they aren’t all that hip to Obama either.

I’ll assume the rest of your comments were meant to simply demonize the supporters of Obama. And even then, sorry, I know people who supported Obama and aren’t anything like your description.

NoQuarter didn’t say anything about “liberals”.
There are people here who have opinions for and against liberals.

I am not a liberal or conservative because I’m educated.
Yet, many of you would probably identify my values as “left” if you had to shove me in a box.

And Amy made a good point that “FLW” missed when he decided to parse words, “most” and “many”. Amy’s point was about the “why” of gay donations. The conclusion that it was because they “have no heirs” was being challenged. It could be for reasons that have nothing to do with heirs.

The article all this is based on, is bunk non-science. I’ve read the background article a few times now and its pop science at best; a passing pedestrian story if you will.

I had heard about this briefly during the campaign — but it mostly came from those who complained about the lack of coverage regarding this fact.

We saw that in the Presidential contributions. Obama was shameful in his giving. Biden was even worse. What was it 3 K for Biden in decades? Sarah Palin, who made less than all, with 5 children, and MUCH YOUNGER than BIDEN, gave about 7K in just one year.

But these are mainly O-shit!’s supporters, the angry extreme left who is not accountable, selfish and greedy. They claim in words and do in opposite which is why they were so attracted to Obama. He represented them and he actually had financial success, instead of them wanting it for not giving.

Somehow these Me Me Me folks I don’t see even getting shamed in to doing anything halfway noble or good for others. Not when we’ve seen these are the same people who cared not about saying ANYTHING, threatening, lying, name calling and false accusing. So shame they don’t exhibit.

I have been talking to more Republicans this year than ever before and I agree with that study. The conservatives I know give alot to charity. One of them just recently pointed this out to me:

And WOW, you certainly do your part! Like you, my partner and I have a number of organizations to which we give monthly, as well as other organizations we give to annually. I also agree that helping others helps us, and spreads good energy in the world.

You are quite right – there was an article abt the difference in giving between McCain/Palin and Obama/Biden. It was STAGGERING, especially how LITTLE these multimillionaires were giving. It was PATHETIC. The Palins are comfortable, but not millionaires by a LONG shot. They gave more, not comparatively, but MORE, than the Bidens. Anyway, she sang at the Met for a long time. I had the opportunity to see both her and Jessye Norman in the SAME opera once while living in NYC. Amazing. And the two of them did a show together that was incredible. Their “Balm in Gilead” is powerful…
