This isn’t an honest description of Andrew P’s comment. What he said was this:

What you’ve done is equivalent to excusing someone who called Hillary Clinton a bitch by arguing that the person was just “acknowledging” that being bitchy is bad behavior.

According to Andrew P, Braun and Obama won their statewide elections because they are black, and the only thing Illinois voters (meaning, of course, black voters) require of their elected representatives is that they be black. As Burris’ long history of losing to white candidates shows, that claim is a fantasy.

Andrew P also says the only thing Illinois voters have gotten by mindlessly electing black representatives is incompetent representation. His not-so-subtle message is that black people are stupid and incompetent.

Your portrayal of Andrew P’s race-based animus as simply an acknowledgment of a universal truth is dishonest at best, and appears to be an endorsement of his racist fantasies.

We have Obama now. And we may have CK in the Senate. So, we’ll find out how “coolness and aura, race and gender” translate into leadership qualities.

Personally, I’m not expecting much.

BTW, Uppity–I really enjoyed the article. Blago is crazy like a fox. And the analogy fits like a glove. Nice!

The better questions to ask are: Which door did the youth choose, why did he choose it and what was the result? It is fair to assume that the youth would think that the princess would select the tiger for his fate, so that upon her hand movement to the right, knowing her nature and the nature of woman, he would select the left. BUT WAIT! The princess, knowing how clever was her lover and how well he knew her nature, would point to the right, thus assuming he would choose left, so she would point to the lady. WAIT AGAIN! The youth could surmise that she would do this so he would choose the right. But she knew he would know this and choose accordingly. Where does the analyis end? It never does. Therein lies the true conundrum of the story.
