Readers: About your comments
By SusanUnPC on January 3, 2009 at 9:18 PM in Current Affairs
Many of your comments are landing in our spam filter. Larry Johnson, bless his heart, has been poring through the nasty spam filter (filled mostly with pornography), and rescuing your comments.
HERE’s WHAT YOU CAN DO: If your comment does not appear immediately, please e-mail either of us at susanunpc at gmail dot com or larry_johnson at earthlink dot net. We will immediately “fish” for your comment. Be sure to give us 1) your username, 2) your e-mail address, and 3) any key words in your comment since we can use any of those three to easily find your comment, and restore it.
HERE’s WHAT NOT TO DO:
Do not keep posting the same comment. That won’t succeed, and it also makes extra work for us. Instead, if your comment doesn’t appear within a reasonable amount of time (at a tops, 2 minutes), e-mail us.
OF NOTE: The spam filter is designed to “learn” from its mistakes so, once we fish out your comments, it shouldn’t happen to you again. If it does, please e-mail us again, and we’ll keep at it.
Your comments are important to us.
If the spam filter weren’t filled with 800-1000 items of pornographic spam, it would be easy to retrieve your comments, but this time we need your help.
And we’re sorry about the inconvenience. This is an ongoing issue in WordPress, and they keep promising to fix it. One of these days? Soon? We do hope so.
