I Own My Vote: www.iownmyvote.com

A life-long Democrat, who has never voted Republican, the ideals espoused in the Preamble to the Democratic Party have been the coalescing force behind my dedication and loyalty. Without fail, I, along with millions of others, have rededicated ourselves to the principles that have not only “sustained” our Party but also maintain and enhance our Democracy.

Unity to a common purpose does not mean “falling in line” to support a “selected” candidate. Rather, unity to uphold our Democracy and the principles of our Party are paramount. The resistance by loyal, life-long Democrats to automatically support the presumptive nominee is often characterized as an act of disloyalty; that we “sore losers”. No, on the contrary, we are vanguards of our Party and we stand united to right the egregious wrongs we have witnessed.

CHARTER OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF THE UNITED STATES

PREAMBLE

We, the Democrats of the United States of America, united in common purpose, hereby rededicate ourselves to the principles which have historically sustained our Party. Recognizing that the vitality of the Nation’s political institutions has been the foundation of its enduring strength, we acknowledge that a political party which wishes to lead must listen to those it would lead, a party which asks for the people’s trust must prove that it trusts the people and a party which hopes to call forth the best the Nation can achieve must embody the best of the Nation’s heritage and traditions.

What we seek for our Nation, we hope for all people: individual freedom in the framework of a just society, political freedom in the framework of meaningful participation by all citizens. Bound by the United States Constitution, aware that a party must be responsive to be worthy of responsibility, we pledge ourselves to open, honest endeavor and to the conduct of public affairs in a manner worthy of a society of free people. Under God, and for these ends and upon these principles, we do establish and adopt this Charter of the Democratic Party of the United States of America.

Listen to those it would lead

Perhaps our Party Leaders should rededicate themselves. Perhaps they should learn to listen. A “Party which wishes to lead must listen to those it would lead” but for months voters nationwide demanded the Florida and Michigan issue be resolved. Petitions, protests, letters, oranges, tea bags, shoes, undergarments, calls, and the many other means to get our Party Leaders to listen fell upon deaf ears. Do they really want to lead?

Trust and Responsiveness

Why should we trust our Party Leaders?: “a Party which asks for the people’s trust must prove that it trusts the people”.

The Democratic Party has not earned our trust. Party Leaders have done little to nothing to gain our confidence. This election cycle has been most unfair, dishonest, and untruthful. The suppression of votes, the tolerance of sexism and misogyny in all forms of media and by our own elected officials, the stealing of delegates, the calls for a candidate to drop out of the primary, the artificially imposed dates for Superdelegates to endorse, the coercion and strong-arm tactics, and the blatant lies by the Democratic Party are despicable.

Furthermore, “a Party must be responsive to be worthy of responsibility”. Are we to believe that the 5-months it took our Democratic Party to resolve the votes of 2-million plus voters as responsive? Is the Party worthy of responsibility?

Freedom

“Individual freedom in the framework of a just society, political freedom in the framework of meaningful participation by all citizens.”

Can we characterize the 1.75 million Florida voters as having had “meaningful participation” in the electoral process? Can the same be said of Michiganders. And, what about the thousands of potential caucus-goers who were not able to participate because they were infirmed, had to work to support their families, disabled, intimidated, or otherwise. Is this what our Democratic Party believes to be “political freedom” and “meaningful participation”?

Personal Insight

I began making calls to the DNC early March. I made a commitment to call almost every day. I was incensed my vote did not count. I was distraught the votes of my fellow Floridians did not count.

I became increasingly frustrated by the impudence the Party displayed. Their insistence the “rules are the rules” was befuddling. As a business owner, if my clients or constituents were at risk because of a faulty rule in my warranty policy, I assuredly would resolve the rule expeditiously so as to earn their trust and loyalty.

Over the period March – April 26th, I had been in contact with Therese from the Chairman’s Office. When I appeared at a DNC rally with 250 Floridians, a demonstration sponsored by LULAC, the Director of Operations saw my name-tag and asked that I come inside to meet someone with whom I have had a “telephone relationship”. I agreed. When I finally met Therese, I was informed her actual name was Kathryn Dvorak. I was floored. I was also asked to “tone down” my conversations. I did not comply.

When I asked for a list of the members of the Rules & By-lays Committee, I was told that information could not be released. I wanted an explanation and was given some story that the RBC members are private citizens and therefore could not be released. I called the ACLU for clarification. I then called Kathryn Dvorak (aka Therese) and informed her of my conversation with the ACLU and told her I would be more than happy to conference them in. She responded it would not be necessary and 5-minutes later I was emailed the RBC committee members.

I began calling the DNC the beginning of May to ascertain the location of the Rules & By-laws Committee meeting. As with every other request, I was met with resistance. For several weeks I was told the location had not been determined.

Yet, as a result of my “Action Item of the Day” program implemented through Florida Demands Representation, I knew on May 9th where the meeting was going to be held. Having this knowledge, from a RBC Co-Chair, I called every day and was given the same response: “the location has not yet been determined”. Finally, Monday, May 19th I told Kathryn Dvorak (aka Therese) that I planned to call CNN. She told me that would not be necessary. The next day the location and the credentials process were announced.

Listen? Trust? Responsive?

Failure

The Democratic Party has failed every tenet of its preamble. The Party and its leaders have not listened. They are not trustworthy. They have been, by design, unresponsive. They have encroached both individual and political freedoms.

Yet our Party Leaders are confounded that we have not “fallen in line”. We are being asked to unite. I, for one, cannot unite behind a Democratic Party that has flaunted this type of behavior.

I Own My Vote! Has the Democratic Party earned yours?

What He Wants Us To Believe

Barack Obama has made recent claims indicating pay equity for women would be a top priority if he were elected President. Sounds great. In fact, it might compel some to seriously consider his candidacy.

Don’t be fooled. What we’ve seen of Mr. Obama is a candidacy based on opportunism. Whenever convenient, he will use his prose to proclaim lofty ideals, ideals that many want so badly to believe in, ideals so many want to become realities.

Mr. Obama is all talk. How do we really know if his lofty ideals will translate into actual policy? We certainly can not point to his legislative accomplishments. There are too few. He may have been present but what the hell does that mean – nothing in the context of policy.

Anyone can advocate anything. A true leader turns advocacy into bona-fide action. We’ve not seen this from Mr. Obama. We have seen, unfortunately, reversals and inconsistencies.

Actions

While Mr. Obama may be an advocate for pay equity, analysis of his Senate staff leaves one to wonder. We know the reports that show women on his staff earn roughly $6,000 less than males on staff. But, here is further information:

Of five staffers that earned more than $100,000 only one was a women

Of staffers earning more than $23,000/year, 33 were men while 31 were women and the pay difference between them was >$10,000

Comparatively speaking, Senator Hillary Clinton’s Senate staff is comprised more than 2 to 1 women to men. And, the pay is nearly equal. In fact, nearly 70% of Clinton’s staff are women.

Did You Know?

Senator John McCain’s Senate staff, comprised of 69 individuals as of October, 2007 which also includes interns, MORE than half were women. Excluding the 23 interns, the 30 women on his staff earned an average of $59,100 compared to the $56,600 earned by the 16 men.

Remember, talk is cheap. Look for action, past and present. I own my vote.

What Is More Important?

Many have asked, where has Nancy Pelosi been? As a figurehead in government, a representative of women at large, a benefactor of funding from organizations like Emily’s list, why has she not taken a stand to defend not only Hillary Clinton, but more importantly, the advancement of women in our society.

When asked about sexism and the demeaning assaults against Hillary Clinton by the media, her retort, paraphrased, was she was too busy being Speaker of the House. Wrong!!!

Follow the Money

Enter George Soros, Felix Rohatyn, and Joseph Onek.

Let us connect the dots. In February, 2007, Nancy Pelosi hired Joseph Onek as her Chief Counsel. Mr. Onek is also a chief policy advisor for the Open Society Institute, funded by none other than George Soros.

You may be curious about Felix Rohatyn. Mr. Rohatyn is a not only a major financial backer of Nancy Pelosi but he is one of her top economics advisors.

The Obama Connection

Mr. Obama has called for the formation of a National Infrastructure Investment Bank (NIRB). This is a derivative of the Rohatyn-Rudman National Investment Corporation (NIC) first proposed in 2005.

Essentially, Mr. Obama is a surrogate for a private investment model controlled by George Soros and those that subscribe to his world monetary monopoly model. The NIRB is nothing more than a fascist economic model.

Be Careful

Ms. Pelosi would have us believe her job is so demanding her inability to not only perceive but to understand the sexism, media bias, and misogyny was not within her realm. Do not be fooled! She is in bed with the enemy. FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!!!

I am affiliated with I Own My Vote.

What went wrong?

The representative process of the Democratic Presidential Preference began with the Iowa caucuses and ended with the Montana and South Dakota primaries. Much has been said about the inherent flaws in a process that is not uniform, much of which is very valid and deserves corrective measures.

It is evident that much of the electorate and, in kind, many of our elected officials, do not have a firm grasp of the nominating process: a process that begins at the convention – no sooner and no later. Calls by Democratic Party leaders to have the “nomination” determined on a specific date, has no relevance. Calls to have Super Delegates declare their endorsement before the nominating process begins short-circuits the democratic process.

More importantly, however, we have seen and we know, that our Democracy is in dire need of change. A significant portion of the electorate realizes that our Democracy is at a crossroads: the path we choose today will determine our future with a sense of urgency most generations rarely experience. There is no small reason so many are polarized and refuse to support the “presumptive” Democratic Presidential nominee. The process has been far from normal – if fact, many say it has been undemocratic: Barack Obama was selected, not elected.

We could, and rightfully so, point to a number of factors that lead many to this conclusion:

Suppression of millions of votes (Florida & Michigan)

Fraudulent practices in states where caucuses were held

Media bias

Discriminatory practices that were allowed to reign free without repudiation

However, there is a much more insidious and covert force working here: George Soros.

The George Soros Factor

George Soros began pouring millions into election finance reform. His millions effectively contributed to the passage of the McCain-Feingold law. While placing a cap on soft-money, it allowed 527′s to secure unlimited donations thereby using these organizations to promote their agenda and support candidates that subscribed to them or message against those that did not.

Soros began a concerted effort to yield influence by acquiring and significantly funding 527s like MoveOn, ACT, Media Matters, and the Center for American Progress. He was a primary backer of the failed Howard Dean Presidential candidacy in 2004. With Howard Dean’s ascension to Democratic Party leader, George Soros was able to yield, through his wealth and in conjunction with the Democratic Alliance, a little known “billionaire’s club”, significant power and influence to alter the make-up of the Democratic Party.

Soros and Nazi Germany

Not known to many, George Soros was the “adopted grandson” of an official in the Nazi government. A 1998 interview with Steve Kroft on “60-Minutes”, Soros explains his upbringing in Nazi Germany and furthermore indicates no sense of “guilt” or remorse for what he not only observed but for that in which he participated.

At the age of 14 he was exposed to the mass shipment of Jews to concentration camps and participated in the looting of personal property. His “formative” years were shaped by the policies of a fascist government; a government whose leader was propelled to the forefront of the national psyche by a phenomenon known as the “Cult of Personality”.

Obama: The Cult of Personality

The Obama campaign is reminiscent of elements of Nazi Germany. For instance, the quid pro quo exchange of volunteerism for “organizational training” offered by the Obama campaign is nothing more than a covert form of assimilation. His campaign’s manipulation of the democratic process, suppression of votes, the infringement on our democratic principles (including free speech), manipulation of the press, and countless other tactics have colluded to expunge the legitimate nominee for the Democratic Presidential candidacy in favor of an illegitimate one.

The briefly paraded but profoundly disturbing “Obama Seal” is yet another indication of the “person” becoming more important than the Party and the United States of America. The arrogance and bold exhibit of ego in using a symbol of our Country for personal gain is indicative of the phenomenon of the “Cult of Personality”. Furthermore, the blind following of his supporters, to discount these assaults on our Democracy, is yet another indicator of this cancerous blight.

Implications for our Democracy

Our Democracy is at stake: period. Many discount the massive outcry to the potential obliteration of our Democratic principles as a fad of “disgruntled Hillary Clinton supporters”. But we are the enlightened.: make no doubt about it.

We have seen the injustices to our Democratic process. To gain this insight, however, it takes a true leader to reveal them. Hillary Clinton has done that. We are enamored not only by her and the issues she represents but because she has gone through this process, to show us the truth.

We are acting. What each of does in the voting booth November 4th, 2008, is, we believe, sacred, personal, and the core of our Democracy. However, we must combat this “Cult of Personality”. We must protect the principles that our forefathers died for to form this new form of government: government for the people by the people. A Democracy with is uniquely American.

We cannot allow George Soros, Howard Dean, Barack Obama, and associated cohorts the deny the will of 18 million voters. George Soros, more than any other American, is the greatest threat to our Democracy. While we point the finger to Barack Obama, Howard Dean, David Axelrod, et. al, we need to hold accountable George Soros and his cronies that have manipulated our Democracy to their benefit.

Make no doubt about it: money talks. George Soros has a sacrificial lamb in Barack Obama. It may be a blessing in disguise he does not know it.
