What does it take to get into Harvard Law School? According to its website, some 8000 applicants compete for 500 openings each year: those accepted have nearly perfect LSAT scores and a GPA of at least 3.8. This isn’t a recent increase in difficulty; acceptance into Harvard Law has always been difficult. In fact, a degree from Columbia followed by a J.D. from Harvard Law are achievements one should highlight. And if that person was running for office, his academic experience would grant bragging rights.

So as I listened to Michelle Obama introduce her husband at the DNC, I wondered why she didn’t include his educational achievements. Since the multi-racial Obama poses as an African American (although he is not descended from slaves and his family never suffered under Jim Crow), and uses the “self-made man” mythology to sell himself–raised by a single mother, fed on food stamps, etc–you would think that graduating from Columbia and going to Harvard Law would be hawked in detail. We have heard that he was the first African American to become president of the Harvard Law Review, only to learn it was a political move by Harvard during a time of racial tensions on campus.

Moreover, Obama appears to have never actually written anything. That’s sort of like becoming the head chef of a fancy restaurant but never cooking.

In fact, Obama’s educational history has been intentionally omitted throughout his political primetime. When asked about his undergraduate training at Columbia University, The New Times states that Obama “declined repeated requests to talk about his New York years, release his Columbia transcript or identify even a single fellow student, co-worker, roommate or friend from those years.” Why would that be?

What we know is that Obama graduated from a Hawaiian prep school with a B- GPA. He then went to Occidental College, about which we know little to nothing, and then to Columbia University. According to conservative journalist, Jack Cashill:

We know enough about Obama’s Columbia grades to know how far they fall below the Harvard norm, likely even below the affirmative action-adjusted black norm at Harvard.

So how did Obama get into Harvard Law School five years after graduating from Columbia? if his LSAT scores had been something to brag about, you know he would be bragging.

Connections are everything, as the saying goes, and that is nowhere more true than in academia. During his time at Columbia, Obama made two very important connections: Bill Ayers and Edward Said. Cashill reports:

There are any number of possible reasons for Obama’s reticence about Columbia: his grades, the courses he took, his writing samples and, of course, his associations.

At that time, for instance, both Bill Ayers and Obama fell within the orbit of left-wing Columbia superstar Edward Said. Just recently out of hiding, Ayers was attending the Bank Street College of Education, which adjoins the Columbia campus.

Edward Said (pronounced Sayeed)

Edward Said became famous for his critique of American attitudes toward eastern cultures, particularly Islamist Arabs. His scholarship contributed to the concept of “the other,” a useful way of understanding prejudices and biases The idea that some people discriminate against others whose beliefs, skin color, sexual orientation, gender, etc, differs from their own is helpful in understanding and correcting discrimination and in teaching our children to be open minded.

However, this theory is now put into service by the so-called “progressives,” who use it to ridicule people who differ from them: Clinton Democrats, Republicans and certain strata of Americans. Rooted in anthropology and literary theory’s appropriation of Marxism, the postcolonial theory of Said et al is at the root of Obama’s distain for the “bitter” working class Americans who cling to their guns and their religions.

It is of course ironic that the educated latte drinking members of the so-called “Whole Foods Nation” find “others” inferior to themselves. As anthropologist Clifford Geertz writes:

What [educated people] worry about is provincialism — the danger that our perceptions will be dulled, our intellects constricted, and our sympathies narrowed by…acceptance of our own society.

Provincialism is not a compliment. It means unsophisticated and “country”–as in country-and-western, backward, rural, redneck, hick, shitkicker and so on. Said taught that Americans were biased against Arabs, but the American students who studied with him use this theory as justification to be biased against America.

Obama studied with Said at Columbia. Said was a Palestinian by birth and a pro-Palestinian activist in life. He said that he was a “Christian wrapped in a Muslim culture.” Said’s essay, Between Worlds, reveals an even greater connection between student, Obama, and professor, Said:

With an unexceptionally Arab family name like Said connected to an improbably British first name (my mother much admired the Prince of Wales in 1935, the year of my birth), I was an uncomfortably anomalous student all through my early years: a Palestinian going to school in Egypt, with an English first name, an American passport and no certain identity at all.

Barack Obama breaking bread with Edward Said

No Quarter has many excellent posts on radical Bill Ayers and his long relationship with Barack Obama. And to complete this three-way embrace, Edward Said wrote a back-cover endorsement on Bill Ayers’ 2001 Fugitive Days. Said reveals how close they are, at least ideologically, when he wrote:

“For anyone who cares about the sorry mess we are in, this book is essential, indeed necessary reading.”

Khalid al-Mansour

Donald Warden (aka Khalid Al Monsour), founded the Berkeley based African-American Association (AAA) and became the mentor of Huey Newton, one of the founders of the Black Panthers. The Black Panthers are said have broken from Warden’s AAA group due to disagreements about economics. According the UC Berkeley’s chronology of the Black Panthers:

(1961) Huey Newton, a black militant activist student, meets Bobby Seale while attending Merritt College (Oakland, California). Both join the Afro-American Association, a black cultural organization led by Donald Warden.”

(1965) Huey Newton’s mentor, Donald Warden, creates Economic Night in a storefront located next door to the future Black Panther Party office on Grove Street, Oakland.

Larry wrote this piece on Khalid al-Mansour, the person who helped Obama get into Harvard. Al-Mansour is a Texas-born African American whose birth name was Donald Warden. Among other things, he is known by some for his rabid anti-Semitism (see this video). And Cashill adds this:

As far back as 1988, however, Obama had serious pull. He would need it. As previously reported, Khalid al-Mansour, principle adviser to Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, lobbied friends like Manhattan Borough President Percy Sutton to intervene at Harvard on Obama’s behalf.

An orthodox Muslim, al-Mansour has not met the crackpot anti-Semitic theory he could not embrace. As for bin Talal, in October 2001, New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani sent his $10 million relief check back un-cashed after the Saudi billionaire blamed 9/11 on America.

Percy Sutton, a Manhattan Borough president for 12 years was among the most powerful black politicians in New York. In the YouTube below (previously posted by Larry, but please watch it again), Sutton describes how al-Mansour introduced him to Barack Obama, asking him to help get Obama into Harvard.

Cashill writes:

“I was introduced to [Obama] by a friend,” Sutton told the interviewer. Sutton named the friend as “Dr. Khalid al-Mansour.” Sutton described al-Mansour as “the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men.” The billionaire in question is Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.

Knowing that Sutton had friends at Harvard, al-Mansour asked Sutton to “please write a letter in support of [Obama] … a young man that has applied to Harvard.”

So who is this Dr. Khalid al-Mansour? A quick Google search finds this biography from African Venture Partners:

Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tario Al-Mansour is an internationally acknowledged advisor to Heads of State and business leaders in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and North America. He has been actively involved in structuring investments and joint ventures worldwide for over 35 years. Dr. Al-Mansour was also responsible for the Africa investment activities of Kingdom Holdings, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal’s investment company. During his distinguished career, Dr. Al-Mansour has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University, Bombay University, Columbia University, UCLA, University of Kenya, London School of Economics and the University of Ghana.
In addition to Africa Venture Partners, Dr. Al-Mansour sits on the Boards of: Saudi African Bank; Kingdom Holdings, Africa; Multimedia Super Corridor (Malaysia); Space Tech Inc.; AmNet Corp. International; New Avenues Fund Ltd; United Bank for Africa; United Networks; and Landmark Entertainment.

Dr. Al-Mansour has authored 24 books and is listed in Who’s Who in the World; International Who’s Who in the Arab World; Two Thousand Men of Achievement; Royal Blue Book of London; World’s Who’s Who of Intellectuals and American Hall of Fame.

Dr. Khalid Al-Mansour has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University (Phi Beta Kappa) and Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of California at Berkeley.

In a fascinating academic article entitled The US Organization, Black Power Vanguard Politics, and the United Front Ideal: Los Angeles and Beyond, Scot Brown discusses the history of various Black nationalists groups. He states this pertinent information about Donald Warden/Khalid al-Mansour:

IN 1963, KARENGA met with Donald Warden, a bay area nationalist who headed the Afro-American Association. Bay Area activists Ernie Allen, Jr. (Ernie Mkalimoto), Huey Newton, Bobby Seale and Ken Freeman were also members of this group. Karenga accepted Warden’s invitation to head the Los Angeles chapter of the group. Ayuko Babu, Tut Hayes, Akida Kimani, and Lloyd Hawkins figured prominently in the association’s Los Angeles chapter. The association functioned primarily as a study group and lecture forum — members frequently spoke outdoors to black community audiences (sometimes called “street speaking”).

DONALD WARDEN RECORDED his association’s street-speaking style in an album called Burn Baby, Burn, released in the aftermath of the Watts explosion. An instrumental track and chorus-like affirming voices that call and respond to his assertions, accentuate this recording’s non-stop nationalist proselytizing.

For those of us who remember the Watts riots of 1965, the phrase “Burn Baby, Burn” has very specific associations of molotov cocktails, bloody street fights, “race” riots and death.

What does it take to get into Harvard Law School?

Khalid al-Mansour (aka Donald Warden) asked his friend, Percy Sutton, to help Obama get into Harvard. With friends like al-Mansour, who needs good grades, high scores or affirmative action?

The relationship between Obama and al-Mansour deserves further research.

We have written in detail about the Obamas’ associations with other Black nationalists, and this information about Khalid al-Mansour adds yet another layer to the story.

After reading two fine pieces at No Quarter, the first by Bud White and Medusa and the second by TexasDarlin I began to look at some similarities. So while researching into the life of Stokley Carmichael, the mentor of Michelle Obama, the first thing that popped out at me was an amazing similarity between the rantings of Carmichael and the ravings of spiritual mentor to Barack Obama, Jeremiah Wright.

It is no coincidence that both Obamas have an affinity for this black separatist mentality. Just consider one of the more radical statements from Jeremiah Wright. The one where he blames the US government of creating AIDS to kill black folk. Now look at what Carmichael stated:

His last words !

In 1967, U.S. imperialism was seriously planning to assassinate me. It still is, this time by an FBI induced cancer, the latest in the white man’s arsenal of chemical and biological warfare, as I am more determined to destroy it today than in 1967.

One should note that this belief of institutionalized oppression predates the work of Cone and his Black Liberation Theology. In other words, it was from The Nation of Islam that Black Liberation Theology had it’s real roots, not from Cone as some would have you believe. Witness this praise from Carmichael to the Nation of Islam.

In 1966, when I had just been elected Chairperson of the Student Non-violent Coordinating Committee, my first official act, was to visit the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam. It is then that he ordered all members of the Fruit of Islam to protect me wherever I traveled, anywhere in the world. I am still under that umbrella of protection today, here in Africa, in Guinea. I could never be ungrateful to the Nation of Islam, to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, nor to his incarnation – Minister Louis Farrakhan.

Carmichael was not a real civil rights leader as some proclaim. He wasn’t interested in reconciliation and integration. He was into separation and revolution. Very pro black and anti-white.

Stokely Carmichael, Rights Leader Who Coined ‘Black Power,’ Dies at 57

”When you talk of black power, you talk of building a movement that will smash everything Western civilization has created,” he told black audiences.

~snip~

”We are preparing groups of urban guerrillas for our defense in the cities,” he said. ”It is going to be a fight to the death.”

In 1967 Carmichael became the honorary Prime Minister of the Black Panthers. But after a short time Carmichael renounced the Black Panthers because they weren’t radical enough for him.

Most troubling, and perhaps in Michelle Obama’s eyes most alluring, was his shift away from any alliance whatsoever with anyone white. In a public letter of resignation from the Black Panthers, Carmichael stated as one of his reasons for leaving:

”its dogmatic party line favoring alliances with white radicals.”

Here is a little video about the Black Panthers from a 1968 film called “Off The Pig.” This is what Carmichael didn’t think was radical enough. Pay attention to the chant: “The revolution has come. Off the Pig! Time to pick up the gun. Off the Pig!”

And as aside, isn’t it scary how similar Huey Newton and Markos Moulitsas sound. I mean, they could have been separated at birth.

Maybe this formation of the New Black Panther Party is radical enough for Carmichael and Michelle Obama?

Just take a look at one of the precepts of the New Black Panther Party and remember that they have endorsed Barack Obama for President.

10 Point Platform

We want all Black Men and Black Women to be exempt from military service. We believe that Black People should not be forced to fight in the military service to defend a racist government that holds us captive and does not protect us. We will not fight and kill other people of color in the world who, like Black People, are being victimized by the white racist government of America. We will protect ourselves from the force and violence of the racist police and the racist military, “by any means necessary.”

By All Means Necessary. Right out of Malcolm X. To quote Fleaflicker:

Will Obama Deny Knowing the New Black Panthers?

By any means necessary? Have you read the Autobiography of Malcolm X? Do these words reflect the intent of peaceable people intent on working together to solve problems? Oh, and who was it that said his favorite book during his formative years was The Autobiography of Malcolm X? Give up? I’ll give you a clue. His initials are Barack Obama.

When one takes a look at Michelle Obama’s college thesis this all comes into very clear view. Because she wondered if it was possible to be around white people without losing her blackness. Again, back to Carmichael:

He was popular in high school, he said, and remembered dating white classmates and visiting Park Avenue apartments. ”Now that I realize how phony they all were, how I hate myself for it.” he said in the 1967 interview. ”Being liberal was an intellectual game with these cats. They were still white, and I was black.”

Now contrast this with Michelle Obama’s thesis.

Michelle Obama thesis was on racial divide

“My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my ‘blackness’ than ever before,” the future Mrs. Obama wrote in her thesis introduction. “I have found that at Princeton, no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong.

So hanging out with white folks made Michelle feel unaccepted. She always had issues with white folk, believing in her words as if:

Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be black first and a student second.

Is this a clue to why she chose to be such an active participant in a black separatist white hating and blaming church for 20 years? Or was it her belief that whites and blacks could never fully integrate so that both respected the other?

Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to her “further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant.”

But what Obama’s thesis does not settle is whether her feeling outside was based upon actual events inside Princeton or rather her own belief system that would of course make her feel on the periphery because Princeton was largely a white majority school.

“In defining the concept of identification or the ability to identify with the black community,” the Princeton student wrote, “I based my definition on the premise that there is a distinctive black culture very different from white culture.”

So in Michelle’s eyes, one’s race determines one’s culture. It is simply a matter of the color of one’s skin that determines the manner in which one is brought up, their belief systems and their morals.

A logical expansion of this would be to say that white people, because of the color of their skin, have a separate innate belief system and have their separate innate set of morals too. In other words, it’s all in the melanin.

What seems most troubling to me is that Michelle Obama doesn’t believe in equality between the races. She seems obsessed with their being separate value systems, not necessarily equal. In fact she seems to believe that they aren’t equal at all.

Perhaps one of the most germane subjects approached in the thesis is a section in which she conveyed views about political relations between black and white communities. She quotes the work of sociologists James Conyers and Walter Wallace, who discussed “integration of black official(s) into various aspects of politics” and notes “problems which face these black officials who must persuade the white community that they are above issues of race and that they are representing all people and not just black people,” as opposed to creating “two separate social structures.”

But aren’t white politician’s held to this same standard? Don’t whites have to account for their support of all races and classes in society? Is it somehow degrading or insulting to demand that black politicians do the same?

Imagine poor Michelle’s horror when her research gave her results that she didn’t expect. But science doesn’t lie.

To research her thesis, the future Mrs. Obama sent an 18-question survey to a sampling of 400 black Princeton graduates, requesting the respondents define the amount of time and “comfort” level spent interacting with blacks and whites before they attended the school, as well as during and after their University years. Other questions dealt with their individual religious beliefs, living arrangements, careers, role models, economic status, and thoughts about lower class blacks. In addition, those surveyed were asked to choose whether they were more in line with a “separationist and/or pluralist” viewpoint or an “integrationist and/or assimilationist” ideology.

Just under 90 alums responded to the questionnaires (for a response rate of approximately 22 percent) and the conclusions were not what she expected. “I hoped that these findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support this possibility.”

She hoped one thing and found out another. I imagine she was very disappointed. But rather than learn from what her experiment taught her, she decided to take the opposite track and join up with those espousing a:

“separationist and/or pluralist” viewpoint

Thus her embrace of the Stokley Carmichael, Louis Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright theology.

Black Power

Now we maintain that we cannot have white people working in the black community, and we mean it on a psychological ground. The fact is that all black people often question whether or not they are equal to whites, because every time they start to do something, white people are around showing them how to do it. If we are going to eliminate that for the generation that comes after us, then black people must be seen in positions of power, doing and articulating for themselves, for themselves.

But alas, poor Michelle misses the boat here. Because she is of the mind that her life is one of hardship. And since she is entitled, white folks should give her something.

WE HAVE A COUNTER-FORCE TO THIS CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER!

AND IT IS YOU AND I!

As MacAddict wrote to me today:

I have not seen a strong response to Obama heading to Iowa (see “Obama To Spend Tues. Night in Iowa, Possibly Will Claim Victory“) and I think their needs to be a strong effort to get the narrative out that this is the Obama strategy to “Declare Victory Before it is Too Late.”

When Hillary wins Kentucky by double digits, it will be clear that Hillary has a plurality of the popular vote. Once the Rules committee votes to include FL and MI then she will also be closer in the delegate numbers and it will clear that no one will reach the magic number.

Hillary’s momentum is picking up and Obama wants to take it away before the MSM picks up on the fact that Hillary is the popular vote winner, has won the most key states, and has the best chance to beat McCain.

No one wins until the person reaches the magic number. The voters will determine the winner not the candidates nor the MSM. This strategy should be painted as a loser trying to take his ball and go home when there is still two minutes left in the game – two minutes left in a game where one team is ahead but the other team is catching up fast. No one would accept this strategy or accept this as victory. Even the MSM and maybe even Chris Matthews could understand this. Timmy would even understand that the Red Sox could not declare they won the World Series when they were ahead 3-2. This is the world series and Barrick was ahead 3-1 now it is 3-2 and he wants to declare victory before it is 3-3 ( after Kentucky when it will be clear she has the lead in the popular vote and he maintains a slim lead in the delegate count) and before it becomes 3-4 in favor of Hillary ( after additional wins in the remaining primaries).

Hillary and her campaign need to hammer this “Declare Victory Before it is too late – is the strategy of a loser.” It should not work in politics and would be a disaster as the policy of a sitting President.

Think of all the examples of from history where the US stood up under dire circumstances and went on to Victory -

The Alamo, Pearl Harbor, Bastogne, etc and think of the same thing in politics – “Dewey defeats Truman” (Truman was a fighter and so is Hillary) “Americans love a winner and can not stand a loser.” America also loves the underdog and the fighter. Obama’s strategy is the strategy of a a person who is afraid to lose and afraid to fight. It is the strategy of a loser. Obama is a loser.

My two cents.

:::::::::::::::

DO THIS NOW — before it is too late.

Readers, who else?

NOW, more work must be done. We have that audio from last night — about which we are writing much more (and should have for you later today).

With this above in mind, listen again to this audio:

LISTEN ESPECIALLY FROM 7:45 to end. To his description of the “Nation of Islam Theology.” THEY PLAN TO RULE ALL — and Obama’s faith and his spiritual advisers believe he is the new leader they have been expecting! …

Barack, at least while he was living in Indonesia, was raised as a muslim. But he left Islam behind. He was at best an agnostic during his teenage and young adult years. It was only after Harvard that he joined the church of Reverend Wright. But Barack did not join a Christian Church. He joined a church founded on the principle of black liberation. A theology that is the anti-thesis of mainstream Christianity. He was not taught, “in Christ there is no east or west, in Him no north or south.” To the contrary, he was taught and believed that there is a north/south split–a division between the white haves and the black have nots.

There is no denying Barack Obama is eager to put distance between himself and the likes of Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and Malik Shabazz. But those gentlemen now know that they must hide their true feelings and understandings. They know that most Americans would not support the Barack Obama they know. But their rhetoric goes beyond seeking justice and equal rights for all black Americans. They embrace a theology that puts blacks above whites.

This is the disaster of Barack. Instead of transcending race, he has embraced and lived in the heart of a radical theology that preaches racial division and black dominance. I’ll stick with Martin Luther King. I want to be judged by the content of my character, not the color of my skin. Malik Shabazz certainly does not believe that. ..

After you, me, and a few more million leave: Eggheads and African-Americans.

Because, as Donna Brazile infamously said, “we don’t have to just rely on white blue-collar voters and Hispanics..” (TRANSLATION: They’re a bunch of racists anyway, so screw them.)

Here’s what Donna wrote in an e-mail yesterday to an understandably unhappy Hillary supporter (the rest of her nasty e-mail is below):

Message to the base: stay home.

Good luck with that coalition, Donna, Barack, San Francisco Nancy, and Howard. Because, while we won’t stay home, you elitists, we’ll all be writing in “Hillary Clinton” on our ballots — if she’s not the nominee. As Pagan Power wrote so powerfully yesterday in her important essay, “I Call A Spade a Spade“:

It is as if race can only be seen as a detrimental factor if white people use it to form their opinions and cast their votes. A full 87% of blacks in Ohio supported Obama for the nomination but what made the headlines were those 20% of Ohioans polled that considered race in their decision. The 87% black vote we are supposed to ignore or somehow gloss over. And that appears to be exactly what Donna Brazile and the DNC expect us to do. [...]

What started out as a race of ideas has become a race about race…

Donna Brazile, the one that started the race war against Bill Clinton has concluded that blue collar white voters are part of the past and no longer a necessary part of the Democratic coalition which she sees as blacks, young people and overeducated whites (no offense to Uppity Woman).

You’ve heard all about the meltdown that Donna Brazile had a couple nights ago on CNN. Here’s the transcript and the video, thanks to V. BELOW, is another one of Miss Donna’s infamous e-mails — followed by a few frank thoughts of my own.

UPDATE BELOW THE FOLD:

Isn’t this lovely?! A diary at MyDD, “1% Clinton Dead Enders Not Welcomed With Me.” This diary singles out Alegre, Larry and me as “dead enders.” I’m honored. And this is so amusing:

The 1% Clinton Dead Enders, yes you ______, Susan and Larry, are NOT WELCOME in the Democratic Party. Your constant lying, swiftboating, and disingenuousness has been thoroughly exposed for several months (and you helped your preferred candidate lose because of it) and you bitter Kool Aid Cultists can go hide in a basement with Taylor Marsh. …

_____________________________________

Here’s some of the transcript from Donna’s nasty meltdown:

BEGALA: We cannot win with egg heads. We cannot win with egg heads and African-Americans. OK, that is the Dukakis Coalition, which carried ten states and gave us four years of the first George Bush.

President Clinton — reached across to get a whole lot of Republicans and Independents to come. I think Senator Obama and Senator Clinton both have that capacity. They both have a unique ability – well it’s not unique if they both have it. They both have a remarkable ability to reach out to those working-class white folks and Latinos.

Senator Clinton has proven it; Barack has not yet, but he can. And I certainly hope he is not shutting the door on expanding the party.
. . .
BRAZILE: Well, Lou, I have worked on a lot of Democratic campaigns, and I respect Paul. But, Paul, you’re looking at the old coalition. A new Democratic coalition is younger. It is more urban, as well as suburban, and we don’t have to just rely on white blue-collar voters and Hispanics. We need to look at the Democratic Party, expand the party, expand the base and not throw out the baby with the bathwater.

:::::::::

EARLY MORNING THOUGHTS (before the caffeine has had its fully desired effect):

I feel trapped.

My usual hang-outs on the ‘net are gone. The days of the orange place and of my first-thing-every-morning reading of Josh Marshall’s Talking Points Memo are behind me.

In those places, I’m one of two things:

1) I’m not a good Democrat, whatever that is — and which I never particularly cared about being anyway, and/or

2) I am a loathsome racist.

Excuse me for daring to say that I’ve NEVER understood the need for unquestioning party loyalty.

Time was, at least in Washington state where I grew up, that we had as many fine Republican elected officials as Democrats. And I voted for people in either party, because I felt one or the other was the better candidate.

But since those days, it is NOT just the Republican party that has been seized by a rigid ideology of the far-right religious nutjobs.

The Democratic party has been partly seized by intense pressure from the far left, from the likes of MoveOn and CodePink (which was once a beautifully creative anti-war group but is now a parody of itself) to the legends-in-their-own-minds like Kos.

Worst of all, the Democratic party — over and over and over — lets itself be seized by the “darling” of the moment.

From Jimmy Carter to Michael Dukakis and now Barack Obama.

I’ve said this before, but I’ll be a broken record about it. I sat with my jaw on the floor in 2004 when at my local caucus, the pro-John Kerry people said, over and over, that the whole reason for supporting Kerry was because he was the “electable candidate.”

I was for Howard Dean at the time — forgive me for that — but John Edwards was then, and was again this time ’round, my strong second choice.

Edwards had both electability and the obvious traits to BE a president.

But John Kerry was seen, back then, as ELECTABLE? These days, that’s seen clearly as the joke it is.

But that’s the message that the DNC and its partner the MSM put out, and the SHEEP in the Democratic party followed along, uttering the argument they’d been spoon-fed.

As I sat there that day, in an uncomfortably small chair in an elementary school, I wondered if these people EVER had an original thought. Or if they just went along with what the evening news TOLD them to think.

I’m getting lost in a rush of memories here. Mostly memories of frustration and bewilderment.

All I do know is that the Democratic party, once again, is about to nominate a man who:

1) is not experienced enough to be president; and

2) is not presidential timber.

Some people have what it takes to be president. They have grit, toughness, determination, and the ability to make tough decisions. I see none of that in Barack Obama.

I see all of that in Hillary Clinton.

For months now, I’ve jokingly said to pals that I’m looking hard for video of Barack Obama in bed in a threesome with Tony Rezko and his wife.

I’m only half joking. I pray there is such damaging information out there somewhere.

Because apparently — and astonishingly — all the information we have on Obama already, including all of his extremely disturbing relationships with the likes of Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dorhn, Nadhmi Auchi, and on and on, do not cause a blip of concern for the Democratic elite establishment.

But do the Republicans ever know that all of that matters. It’s going to be bloody. And November, if Obama is the nominee, will be a humiliating experience for the Democrats.

But, then, the Democrats seem to seek humiliation. They’re attracted to seizing defeat from the jaws of victory.

Because they’re so self-absorbed with satisfying their own pyschological, elitist cravings that they cannot see that a STRONG, EXPERIENCED candidate is who is needed to 1) win, and 2) be a great president.

So, yeah, loyalty to the Democratic party doesn’t mean much to me.

NOW it’s time for some more coffee.

And it’s time to thank all of you for being here.

We’re growing a great family here at No Quarter. Each of you is making a big contribution, in all of your writings and your comments, to making sense out of this insane, confusing mess.

Together, we’ll stay strong and keep fighting for what is right. And for what is needed: Which is a president who CAN do the job and who CAN improve the lot of all Americans in this country and who CAN restore our standing around the world.

AND HERE’s THE FROSTING ON THE CAKE — another one of Miss Donna Brazile’s nasty e-mails:

From: Donna Brazile
Subject: RE: Switching to Republican Party – I’m a Hillary supporter
Date: May 7, 2008 7:48 PM

Honestly, this is the 9th email today, so I believe you’re ready to not only destroy Roe versus Wade, voting rights, civil liberties and civil rights. Perhaps adding trillions more to the deficits through non stop tax cuts to the wealthy and 100 more years in Iraq.

Yes, please join Rush and McCain asap. The train has left. Catch it.

Please don’t send these emails to working people like myself. Notice you sent it to my campus address. I am a working class person. Can you find someone who drinks latte?

Message to the base: stay home.

What i want to know: HOW MUCH MONEY does the Democratic party pay this idiot? How many dollars of the donations from struggling blue-collar loyal Democrats does this woman seize and spend on her wardrobe, her coif, her lattes, her lavish lifestyle?

She’s not worth one penny. And she needs to be gone. Like yesterday.

A while ago, the racist, Farrakhan-linked New Black Panther Party posted a page on the official Obama Web site. That page was pulled after complaints were lodged, with the Obama campaign implying that it would more closely monitor its site. Now, not only has the NBBP reposted its page, but the Obama Web site has become the friendly home for vicious race baiting of African Americans who support Hillary Clinton. The Obama campaign has repeatedly played the race card, at the same time that is has tried to blame the Clinton campaign — see Princeton historian Sean Wilentz’s devastingly factual articles on the subject (“Hold On–’3 A.M.’ Wasn’t Racist,” “Race Man,” and “Obama was the first to play the race card“). The Obama campaign continues its smear by allowing and apparently encouraging posting like this nasty page.

And, my friends, this is truly disgusting:

Hillary vs Obama: The Slavery Perspective

Field Slave/Obama Supporter:

“I seen a way to freedom and power. C’mon go with me. I figured out a way to the promise land – that place Martin and Malcolm spoke of. There’s hope and possibilities out there for us. There some white folks I know say they gon help us get there. The time is now – right now. Come On…”

House Slave/Clinton Supporter:

“Massa Clinton been good to us. Git on ‘way from here Obama. You gon cause problem fo us all!! Didn’t Massa Clinton give you food and shelter all these years. Where you gon take us? You never been nowhere but right here on dis plantation wit us. This here fine living. We don’t know where you trying to go. They gon kill you. Then how us gon survive? Aint no white folks gon hep you. Get on way from here Obama. Gon now…git”

Looking at from this historical perspective . . . who was right????

Barack Obama talks a good game. And he is an exquisite liar, nearly pathological with his ease of doing so. His campaign likes to point out that this is an open public forum and they have no control over what is posted there. But those of us that know a little something about websites know that that is a bold faced lie that may play well in Peoria but doesn’t square well with the facts. It is relatively easy to stop someone from posting in an open forum.

There are filters and IP address blocks and all kinds of other methods that allow you to screen out particular words or links. The Obama campaign DESIRES this information to be on their website. It is a part of their BIG TENT approach. Republicans, Terrorists, Racists, Mysogynists, Homophobes and Bigots For Obama is their battle cry. And the Obama campaign only takes this stuff down when someone points out that they are offended by it.

As I mentioned in “Will Obama Deny Knowing the New Black Panthers,” this pattern of Obama support is troubling. Because this group is merely the next logical step forward from the rantings of Barack Obama’s spiritual advisor, Jeremiah Wright. It is no accident that this group continues to be featured on the official Obama campaign Web site. It is a message being sent for those with eyes open enough to see.

This should be a wake-up call for anyone with a shred of decency. But apparently that wouldn’t be a supporter of Barack Obama.

It’s funny how things have a habit of repeating themselves. Immediately following the Wright revelations and just before Obama’s much heralded race speech a link was removed from the Obama campaign website. That link was to the New Black Panther Party. Of course the Obama campaign when asked about the association was quick to point out that anyone could link to his website and they have no control over what people do. And if you have stopped laughing long enough at this bogus excuse then perhaps you might be interested to know that now that the polls show that Wright isn’t hurting Obama with Democrats the link to the New Black Panther Party is back up in all it’s glory.

What is most troubling about the new Black Panther Party is how closely their philosophy mirrors the philosophy of Reverend Jeremiah Wright, spiritual mentor of Barack Obama. They are clearly Afrocentric just like Wright. And they take Wright’s hatred a step further by actually threatening those that stand in their way.

The Nine Objectives

When necessary we must deal firmly and appropriately with “Black” leadership who betray the interests of the Black community or Black Nation.

We call on Black Police officers to recognize that they are Black men and women first and police officers second. We call on Black police officers to recognize our common enemy who put our people in this condition.

Did you get that? Black men and women BEFORE they are police officers. Forget the content of character. Throw that baby out with the bathwater. Common enemy? I wonder who that might be? These folks are militants and they aren’t fooling around. And a BLACK Nation? I assure you, they aren’t talking about Africa. And if you got the mistaken impression that these folks were misguided patriots like Obama’s Uncle Jeremiah Wright, just look at what they say about protecting this country.

New Black Panthers

We believe further in: POWER IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! WEALTH IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE! ARMS IN THE HANDS OF THE PEOPLE!

We believe that this wicked racist government has robbed us, and now we are demanding the overdue debt of reparations.

So who are the New Black Panthers and how did they get started?

Well, the first thing you need to know about them is that they were started by a protege of Louis Farrakhan named Khalid Abdul Muhammad. Muhammad was known as a forceful opponent of whites, Jews and homosexuals. And he was no friend of conservative or moderate blacks either.

Khalid Abdul Muhammad

By 1985, Muhammad had become one of Louis Farrakhan’s most trusted advisors in the Nation of Islam. He accompanied Farrakhan on fund-raising trips to Libya, where he became well acquainted with Muammar al-Gaddafi. Muhammad’s dedication to Farrakhan and to the message of the NOI eventually secured him the title of national spokesman and he was named one of Louis Farrakhan’s top lieutenants in 1981. He served at Nation of Islam mosques in New York and Atlanta throughout the decade, and in 1991 he became Farrakhan’s personal assistant.

I wonder if he was with Wright and Farrakhan on their infamous trip together?

But strangely Muhammad was even too controversial for the Nation of Islam. And after he gave a speech in 1993 in which he criticized almost everyone that wasn’t black like he thought they should be, he was officially censured by the US Senate and the House of Representatives. There is some dispute as to whether he left the Nation of Islam voluntarily or whether he was forced out by Farrakhan. Perhaps we may never know.

New Black Panther Party endorses Barack Obama for President

In a 1993 speech condemned by the U.S. Congress and Senate, Muhammad, lionized on the NBPP site, referred to Jews as “bloodsuckers,” labeled the pope a “no-good cracker” and advocated the murder of white South Africans who would not leave the nation subsequent to a 24-hour warning.

After leaving the Nation of Islam, Muhammad quickly became the National Chairman for the New Black Panther Party. As a featured speaker at the Million Man March, Muhammad left no doubt what the New Black Panther Party stood for.

”I came [today] to place the blame squarely where it belongs. I didn’t come to pin the tail on the donkey. I came to pin the tail on the honky….We want to try the white man today. We want to hold court on this devil today, hold court on this cracker. . . . And we will find this cracker guilty beyond any reasonable doubt, with moral certainty, and with no recommendation for mercy. . . . We gonna keep this cracker on death row with no possibility for a stay of execution. . . . There must be a time and a generation that will rise up…and take our political prisoners from this no-good, low-down, dirty white man. …[T]he white man is the coldest, most vicious one that has ever lived….[on]the planet earth.”

And just like Obama’s spiritual mentor, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Muhammad has a problem with some people’s noses.

Khalid Abdul Muhammad

“The so-called Jew claims that there were six million in Nazi Germany. I am here today to tell you that there is absolutely no evidence, no proof. There is absolutely no evidence to substantiate, to prove that six million so-called Jews lost their lives in Nazi Germany…”

“Don’t let no hooked-nose, bagel-eating, lox-eating, perpetrating-a-fraud so-called Jew who just crawled out of the ghettoes of Europe just a few days ago…”

“The practice of those freakish Rabbis [circumcision] is that they place their lips on the penis of these young boys and after they have cut the foreskin back, suck the blood from the head of the penis of their own young boys…”

And if that hasn’t convinced you that the ‘father’ of the New Black Panther Party isn’t a very bad person take a look at this. But be warned.
It is probably one of the worst things you have EVER watched.

Wow… hope that didn’t freak you out because there is much more to come.In 2001 Muhammad died suddenly from a brain aneurysm. But the New Black Panther Party didn’t end. It was taken over by an equally rabid person named Malik Zulu Shabazz who under Muhammad had been the group’s National Attorney and Spokesman. Shabazz also shares the same loathing of Jews as Wright, Farrakhan and Muhammad. After the attack on our nation Shabazz found it in his heart to say this:ADL

Zionism is racism, Zionism is terrorism, Zionism is colonialism, Zionism is Imperialism, and support for Zionism is the root of why so many were killed on September 11.

We have to make it plain that Zionists control America, lock stock and barrel, the European Jews have America under control, lock, stock, and barrel, the media, foreign policy.

National Press Club in Washington, DC (October 31, 2001)

And only 6 months later while protesting at the B’nai B’rith building in Washington, D.C. Shabazz led these unbeliveable chants:

“death to Israel,” “the white man is the devil,” and “Jihad.” Shabazz also said, “Kill every goddamn Zionist in Israel! Goddamn little babies, goddamn old ladies! Blow up Zionist supermarkets!”

Kill little babies and old ladies? This guy isn’t just a thug. He is an inhuman beast. And he is also a conspiracy theory nut.

“If 3,000 people perished in the World Trade Center attacks and the Jewish population is 10 percent, you show me records of 300 Jewish people dying in the World Trade Center…We’re daring anyone to dispute its truth. They got their people out.”

Let’s see. Obama’s spiritual mentor Wright blames us for the attacks on 9/11. And Shabazz blames the Jews. Wright doesn’t like Jews and neither does Shabazz. I wonder if there is a bit more to their mutual dislike of Jews and white people than an accidental coincidence. I wonder what Shabazz has to say about it….

An Interview with Malik Zulu Shabazz

Today, they are upset with us because we have aligned ourselves with the Nation of Islam and because one of the great warriors and helpers of the Nation of Islam, Dr. Khallid Abdul Muhammad, was the former National Chairman of the New Black Panther Party. So, in that sense, in this present time, the Nation of Islam has given birth to the New Black Panther Party on a national level, because there was only one or two chapters of the New Black Panther Party until Dr. Khallid Abdul Muhammad was appointed the National Chairman in 1998 and spread the New Black Panther Party into now, over 40 cities including London, England and into Germany.

So, we today are happy to be involved in a African United Front. We are happy today to be standing side by side with the Nation of Islam. We believe, like the Nation of Islam and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad believe, in a nation of our own. We believe in a Black first philosophy and a Black Liberation Theology.

The New Black Panther Party believes in a Black Liberation Theology. The New Black Panther Party believes in the Theology of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. We believe in spiritual values, which is giving us humility, where we’re not doing our own will; we firmly believe that we’re doing God’s Will.

God’s will? Black first philosophy? Sounds an awful like the Black Value System of Obama’s Trinity United Church of Christ to me. In fact both the New Black Panther Party and the Trinity United Church of Christ share a reverence for the “black liberation theology.”

Talking Points

The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology that started in 1969 with the publication of Dr. James Cone’s book, Black Power and Black Theology.

So Wright and the New Black Panther Party share a common philosophical belief system. They also both blame white people and Jews for every ill under the sun. And apparently they both support the same candidate for President.

New Black Panther Endorsement

“I have nothing but respect for Obama and for his pastor,” said Shabazz, referring to Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s pastor of nearly 20 years.

So he respects them both. But does he know Obama. Well, funny I should mention it, because indeed he does.

Obama Campaign Removes New Black Panther Party Endorsement From Web Site

Shabazz boasted he met Obama last March when the politician attended the 42nd anniversary of the voting rights marches in Selma, Ala.

Isn’t that cool. He met Obama the day Obama lied about his parents getting their inspiration to create him from the Selma marches that just somehow mysteriously occurred 5 years after he was born. His folks were psychics. Betcha didn’t know that.

But just what is it about Obama that Shabazz respects the most?

New Black Panther Party
Endorses Obama

Shabazz referred to Obama as a man with a “Muslim background, a man of color.”Shabazz referred to Obama as a man with a “Muslim background, a man of color.”

Maybe this is what Kerry meant when he said that Obama would make a good President BECAUSE he is a black man. BECAUSE he would be able to reach out to the more moderate Muslims. But somehow I don’t see people that threaten to kill children and old women as moderate. Well, at least they aren’t strapping dynamite to their bodies or flying aircraft into buildings full of people. So maybe that’s what he meant by moderate.

USANews

the color of Obama’s skin makes him uniquely qualified for president and even reach out to the moderate Islam world

Oh, what the heck. Let’s allow John Kerry to tell you himself:

So what have we learned? Obama has ties to some fairly despicable people. Yes, they may be Americans but they consider their selves separate from the rest of us. In fact that is what their ultimate goal is. A common theme is Black separation. Black power. And White blame. And just what is the consequence of this separation movement? Do the words of the leader of the New Black Panther Party comfort us? Should we feel safe that this man’s words are merely that, just words? Should we adopt the belief system of Obama and just consider this guy Shabazz like a crazy uncle like Reverend Jeremiah Wright? Because otherwise we might be distancing ourselves from the entire black community?Or is this separation movement so organized that the thoughts coming from the person in the video below are becoming commonplace in “Black” America? And shouldn’t we be concerned?
