All of the women’s groups who endorsed Obama, all of the women who flocked to him, claiming he was SO great on women’s rights and the best choice on issues of choice? I ask because guess who is going to be taking over the DNC? Tim Kaine. Remember him? Maybe this post I wrote back in July will help jog your memory:

My, my - funny how things happen. You would have to be living on the moon to not hear about ALL of the people Obama is considering for his Patsy, uh, I mean Vice President. All kinds of names have been thrown out from Chuck Hagel to Joe Biden. The current major leak (but really you are all supposed to know about it - shhhhh!) has Tim Kaine, Governor of VA, as a likely candidate.

Never heard of him? Yeah, well, we lived in VA when Mark Warner was governor, and he was GREAT. Kaine was his Lt. Governor, so when Warner’s terms was up (VA permits ONE six year term - that’s it), Kaine rode in on his coattails.

He hasn’t done a whole lot since then, at least not a lot of positive changes for which he is receiving any accolades. BUT - Obama stumped for him in VA, and Kaine has been stumping for Obama around the world, uh, I mean, COUNTRY, and now they are BFFs! Woohoo!!!!

Kaine has now moved to the short list for VP!! Gosh - he must be really experienced, and his constituents must really love him, right?? Uh, no. Like Obama (wow - I almost typed “Bush” then - I am not kidding, and it isn’t just because I’m tired!), Kaine isn’t all that experienced, certainly not in important matters like foreign affairs. Which would help since Obama has no experience, even with his NINE DAY trip!!!! A whole nine days - that is enough, right??? No. No, Obama, it is not even anywhere in the same ballpark as REAL experience, like Clinton’s. But you know that already. You’re just trying to appease your cultists, um, ah, I mean FOLLOWERS. Oh, that isn’t right, either - SUPPORTERS! Yes, that is what politicians are supposed to have - supporters Okay. Got it. Anywho…

Ahem. Since you may know NOTHING about Gov. Kaine, he is personally opposed to the death penalty as a practicing Catholic, but when he campaigned as a gubernatorial candidate, he assured people he would not impose him personal beliefs on the state. In other words, he would not prohibit death penalty executions. Wow - what a stand up guy. He was not going to allow his personal faith to supersede the Commonwealth of Virginia’s laws (and I hasten to say that I am completely opposed to the death penalty - always have been). Well, okay then.

Oh, but wait - there is more. While Governor Kaine wouldn’t impose his religious beliefs on the death penalty, he had/has NO problem imposing them on the issue of - wait - for - it, yes, ABORTION!! So, a woman better not kill a zygote, but it’s A-OKAY to kill a full-grown adult. Yes, indeedy! That makes sense, right?? Oh, yeah, NO. Governor Kaine, before he was governor, said he had a “faith-based opposition” to abortion, and vowed to promote ABSTINENCE focused education - you know, the one that doesn’t WORK. And to ban so-called partial-birth abortions. This was a more popular position in VA than his opposition to the death penalty. In other words, his faith-based opposition takes a backseat to political aspiration. One was not politically expedient - the death penalty issue. The other one was - abortion. Regardless, now that Obama has secured the endorsements of NARAL, and even more importantly, for the second time ever in presidential politics, Planned Parenthood’s, it makes PERFECT sense that he would target an anti-choice candidate to run as Vice President. It highlights that some of the very few times Obama exposed his true colors was his exceedingly patronizing comments to/about women and when they can/not choose to have an abortion.

What’s that I hear? Oh, it is Planned Parenthood being thrown under the bus. And NARAL. Couldn’t happen to two more deserving organizations supporting OBAMA over CLINTON after all of the work she has done on behalf of women, and the sexist, patronizing, arrogant way in which Obama has treated women, especially on choice!

So, all of you Obamabots trying to hold Roe v. Wade over our heads, what say you NOW, huh??? Really think he is not going to turn back the clock on women’s rights like you claim McCain will do, and Obama won’t? Because I think you are dead wrong. He doesn’t give a damn about women and our health. He has made that abundantly clear. In the same way he proved he doesn’t give a crap about the Constitution voting for FISA and telecom immunity (AT&T welcomes you to the Denver Democratic National Convention - I kid you not!), oh, and PLEASE stop calling him a “Constitutional Scholar” - he was a lecturer at the same law school he had just attended. It’s like being a TA, for crying out loud. And he has made it clear as day - HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION! He cares about getting money, and getting elected. Your lives will be SO much smoother once you accept that! He will say and do whatever he has to do to accomplish those two tasks. So, quit with the whole Roe v. Wade scare tactic, because Obama DOES NOT CARE ABOUT WOMEN and our health. He does not. Too bad Planned Parenthood and NARAL apparently cared more about publicity (and money?? Does anyone know if Obama’s “Hope PAC” gave them money?) than they did about supporting the candidate who would work the hardest for the issues about which they claim to care. Thanks a whole lot for the capitulation there, PP and NARAL. How do you people sleep at night?

So, Tim thinks we should care what he thinks about abortion, like so many other men. And he wants to impose HIS “faith-based opposition” on VA, and presumably, the country, should the world got to hell in a handbasket and Obama gets into the White House with him. Holy Cow…

What a surprise that Obama finds a way to get Gov. Kaine in after all. Cough. Ahem. It may not be VP, but a pretty plum choice nonetheless. Kaine and Rick Warrencan have themselves a good ol’ time at the Inauguration talking strategy about getting rid of Roe v. Wade. I’m just sayin’…

Oh, yes. And in the, “Isn’t it Ironic” file, there is this THIS article from November 12, 2008:

Gov. Timothy M. Kaine ruled out serving a new Democratic White House as chairman of the Democratic National Committee on Wednesday.

Speculation about Kaine heading the party began after DNC Chairman Howard Dean announced Monday he will step down in January.

Kaine said at a news conference Obama’s transition team asked him if he was interested in the position. He said his response was that he’d rather be governor and won’t do both jobs.

“That’s not something I’m going to do. I don’t view that, frankly, as consistent with being governor, so I’m going to be governor,” Kaine said. “I would view it as taking my eye too much off the ball about things that need to happen here.”

Except, apparently, it IS!!! Ah, more honest and trustworthy politicians in the Democratic Party! So, not only is Kaine rabidly anti-choice, he’s also a big liar! Great! He should fit right on in with the Obama people, don’t you think? I think his response to the possibility of being in Obama’s cabinet highlights just how well:

For Kaine to accept an immediate appointment to an Obama Cabinet post would force him to turn the final year of his term over to Republican Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling.

“It’s not turning the keys over to Bill Bolling that worries me. It’s that I took an oath to be here for my whole term … and I have communicated that to the president-elect already,” Kaine said.

“We had talked about it a number of weeks back, but we’ve communicated since the election and I’ve made that point” to Obama, he said.

And how do you folks like THAT in the great Commonwealth of Virginia?!? Sounds to me like Kaine’s attentions just might be a tad divided…I sure hope you didn’t buy his double speak.

But hey, this is Kaine’s payment (hmmm, that seems to be a common theme) for being the first governor to endorse Obama, and to work his little heart out for him making sure all of those felons were registered as they walked out the door of the prison (felons in VA lose their voting rights for life - unless the governor restores them). As is so often the case with Obama, this is a two-fer - he can pay back Gov. Kaine, and NARAL, PPA, Emily’s List, and NOW all at the same time!! So, thanks - thanks so much for throwing us all under the bus supporting this Hope-y Change-y guy, who isn’t all that change-y at all. Those of us who were paying attention are not surprised. Maybe deep down, you aren’t, either, but it’s too damn late now, isn’t it? Way to sell us out. Thanks a lot for nothing.

Because of stories like THIS one:

President-elect Barack Obama’s swearing-in ceremony will feature big names like minister Rick Warren and legendary singer Aretha Franklin, the Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies announced Wednesday.

Warren, the prominent evangelical and founder of the Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, will deliver the ceremony’s invocation. The minister hosted a presidential forum at his church last summer that challenged both Obama and Arizona Sen. John McCain on a host of faith-related issues. Warren did not endorse either presidential candidate.

His public support for California’s Proposition 8 — the measure that successfully passed and called for outlawing gay marriage in the state — sparked the ire of many gay rights proponents, who seized on a comment in an October newsletter to his congregation: “This is not a political issue — it is a moral issue that God has spoken clearly about.” (emphasis mine)

You know, I really don’t relish having to say, “I told you so,” but dammit, I did. So did a whole bunch of other people. Obama has never done ANYTHING but give lip service to the GLBT community - WHEN are people going to get that through their thick heads???

And really, for SLDN (Servicemembers Legal Defense Network) to be so gung-ho after Obama has put off - AGAIN - his “commitment” to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” until at least 2010 just blows my mind. Wow.

Don’t get me wrong, they are both good organizations, and do good work. But, really, what in the WORLD in Obama’s history makes them think for one SECOND that Obama is going to do ANYTHING for this community? He has demonstrated time and time and time AGAIN, with his actions, his words, and his associates, that he doesn’t give one good damn about the GLBT community. Yet there everyone is, falling all over themselves to connect with The One. How sad And infuriating.

Add to that this email I got today from WomenCount, and I am just bashing my head against the wall:

Dear Friends,

In recent days we have been urged by some of our colleagues in the world of women’s advocacy to call attention to President-elect Obama’s failure to nominate more women to his Cabinet.

Rather than speak out, we have given him the benefit of the doubt and encouraged others to do the same - until now.

With this week’s announcements, the new Cabinet stands at 14 men and 4 women. That puts the current percentage of women in the Obama Cabinet at 22 percent - and there are only four Cabinet-level openings left to fill.

President Clinton’s first Cabinet - 16 years ago - was 37 percent women. In his second term, it climbed to 47 percent women. President Bush began his first term with 22 percent women in his Cabinet. We want that number to go up - not go down or stay the same!

Some more math: women make up 51 percent of the American population and 56 percent of voters. In the 2008 presidential election, women voted for Obama 56 to 49 percent over men.

Dozens of qualified women have been recommended to fill critical slots on the incoming leadership team.

We urge the President-elect and his transition team to act now to improve their record of commitment to naming women to senior positions in the new Administration. It’s not too late.

Such a lack of progress for women underscores the need for real change - now. WomenCount has launched a major petition campaign calling on President-elect Obama to create a Presidential Commission on Women in his first 100 days.

If you haven’t done so, join our call for t he new administration to begin a national conversation on the future of women in our country.

Increasing the number of women in appointed and elected positions in just one of the many issues a Presidential Commission on Women would address.

OHMYGOSH - they are KIDDING, right?? The man who ran the most sexist/misogynistic campaign in DECADES not doing right by women???? Well, golly gee willikers, how can THAT possibly be? Maybe they can put on some Ludicris, Obama’s BFF, and listen to it while they figure this one out. Or how about Jay Z’s, “99 Problems But A Bitch Ain’t One” while they consider why they ever thought a man who flipped Hillary off, brushed her off his shoulder - TWICE - and said not word ONE about his minions’ misogynistic, vulgar language toward her OR Sarah Palin, and pays the women on his staff less than the men, would have more women in his Cabinet.

Have I mentioned that Rev. Rick Warren is also ANTI-CHOICE?? But yeah, Women Count (and PPA, and NARAL, and Emily’s List) - y’all just go ahead and believe that Obama is really going to put more women in his Cabinet.

So far I have refrained from flat out name calling to these people and organizations who are just too blind, too uninformed, too ignorant, and operating with too few brain cells, actual names. But holy Freakin’ Toledo, it is becoming harder and harder to do so. This is me biting my tongue.

Seriously - Obama has done virtually NOTHING to make these people THINK he is going to do these things except words, not at all backed up by actions. In fact, he has already reneged on a number of promises made (FISA anyone). A man (and woman) is only as good as his word, and Obama has made it abundantly clear that the words he says are only to advance his own career, not because he actually CARES about these issues.

Yet, despite his constant deeds showing where he really stands, like asking Rick Warren, proponent of Prop 8, to conduct his Inaugural Invocation, there they still are, fawning and swooning, just waiting for that crumb to drop from the table. Wow. What does it take? Really - what the hell does it take before these groups stop revering this man who has done nothing for them. No, rather he has done things that negatively affect them (remember, he is opposed to Same-Sex marriage, no matter how much people like Ellen Degeneres sang his praises and conveniently failed to mention in her attacks on Sarah Palin for the same thing), and associates himself with known homophobes.

Maybe Jon Stewart should have this conversation with Rev. Warren AND Barack Obama:

It would be nice, but it’ll never happen. We can’t actually acknowledge where Obama stands on these issues. We sure can’t admit he is really no different from Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, OR John McCain. Oh, no…

Holy crap. Have some respect, dammit!! Stop selling yourselves short! Stop buying snake oil from the snake oil salesman! C’mon already!!! Seriously, people. Seriously. Open your eyes. Stop giving Obama “the benefit of the doubt” - on these two issues, he has shown numerous times he does not deserve it.

As a lifetime feminist, one who has marched and run for Equal Rights, who is Pro-Choice, who has escorted women through Operation Rescue protesters at Planned Parenthood, and counteracted demonstrations by Operation Rescue, I have to tell you, I cannot believe the vitriol coming out from the Left Wing regarding Sarah Palin, on a number of levels, but choice is one of the main ones today.

This morning, I was greeted with the news that NARAL and Emily’s List are beginning a $30 million campaign against her and John McCain. I used to be a member of both of those organizations until they chose the worst candidate on women’s issues instead of the best. Am I glad I did - it just saves me the trouble of doing it now.

Along those lines, had the DNC actually allowed the People to speak, I seriously doubt the Republicans would have even nominated Sarah Palin to be Vice President, but the DNC didn’t, and the RNC did.

That being said, here’s the thing. Being pro-choice means RESPECTING people’s choices, even if we do not agree with them. It means I want abortions “to be safe, legal, and rare,” as Hillary Clinton always said. It means that should a woman NOT chose an abortion, that is her CHOICE. It does not mean that all unwanted/unplanned pregnancies MUST end in abortion, which is what some folks are making it sound like now.

The fact of the matter is, Governor Palin DOESsupport birth control in an effort to lessen the number of unplanned/unwanted pregnancies. That seems like a pretty good idea to me, but apparently isn’t enough for NARAL and Emily’s List. I might add, if Roe v. Wade made it through EIGHT YEARS of George W. Bush and his allegiance to the Far Right Wing, I seriously, seriously doubt it is going anywhere now. It is a manipulative tool by the DNC to try and keep us in line. I, for one, do not like for people to try and manipulate me. It pisses me off.

Then there is the whole thing about her 17 yr old daughter being pregnant. For crying out loud, this happens. It happens in good, religious families all the time. Heck, it happened in MY family! One of my nieces got pregnant before she graduated from high school, and even though her parents are divorced, BOTH sets of remarried parents are very religious, Evangelical type people. She went to church twice a week (whether she need to or not, as the saying goes). Didn’t stop HER from having sex. I’m pretty sure her exceedingly conservative church preached about these kinds of things. Sometimes, young people make bad decisions. Sometimes, there are consequences to those decisions. I mean, really - why else are there Crittendon homes if young women didn’t get pregnant? Teenagers don’t always think straight, and do things that are the opposite of what they have been taught. And that is where Bristol Palin finds herself. Just because one is in politics doesn’t make one immune from having teenagers do things with which the parents are unhappy. Kinda like how preachers’ kids are notoriously troublesome. Kids act out.

So, these are issues being touted by the DNC and its supporters. Sarah Palin is rabidly anti-choice, will singlehandledly end Roe v Wade, even though she is in Feminists for Life and supports birth control, and doesn’t have, or WON’T have, that kind of power if she become VP. Apparently, these people don’t understand how laws are made, or unmade. (Sounds like a civic review is in order!) I guess there is only one acceptable way to view “choice,” and it is their way, or the path to hell way. And her daughter is * GASP * pregnant. What is the world coming to, I ask you?! Sheesh.

To further show how incredibly clueless the DNC and its surrogates are, the day after Sarah Palin’s speech, Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, characterized her speech as “shrill and sarcastic.” Ah, yes, “shrill.” It’s meaning, of course, is a “high-pitched and piercing tone“. It’s a buzzword, though, a sexist one, that is, to describe when a woman talks. It was used to describe Hillary Clinton constantly throughout the primary season. And now it is being used by the top Democrat, against the GOP VP running mate. Oh, and “sarcastic.” Goddess knows, we women folk are NOT supposed to be sarcastic. That might hurt the men-folk’s feelings, like it did Obama. Oh, no - we are supposed to be sweetness and light, quiet and demure, and just go home and shut up about all of the sexism already. That’s what they expected Hillary to do. And that’s what they expect us to do. They can bite me (that is a pastoral phrase, by the way). Nice job, there, Harry - as if we didn’t already know you were a sexist, misogynistic pig. No amount of apologies will put those words back in your mouth. Clearly, this is what, and HOW, you think. Like we didn’t already know that from the way you treat Hillary, but still. Thanks for reminding us.

But here’s the thing that has been bugging the complete and utter shit out of me: Democrats and Progressives suggesting Sarah Palin’s family would be better served if she just stayed home with the chil’un. I have to say, that just makes my blood boil. I have worked too hard, for too long, for the DEMOCRATS, of all people, to try and turn back the clock to the June Cleaver days. What the hell is the MATTER with them?!?! There is nothing wrong if a woman, or man, CHOOSES to stay home with the kids. It is hard work, to be sure. But to say that a woman who has a career outside of the home should give it up, for alleged PROGRESSIVES to be saying this crap, is obscene. Plenty of women work outside the home AND have small children. And here’s a little newsflash - men do it, too. All the time. I don’t hear any of these people saying Todd Palin should stay home. Or OBAMA should stay home, just because they have small children. This is taking us back decades. DECADES. You know, people were worried that all the race-baiting done by the Obama camp was going to inflame the race wars, thus taking us back more. I think they have. But no one seemed too concerned about the EQUALITY wars, and we have DEFINITELY gone far, far back in that regard. I still cannot get over that it is the DEMOCRATS pushing this, though. That Rudy Guilliani, or all people, is expressing OUTRAGE that Sarah Palin is being questioned about her fitness as a MOTHER because she is the governor of Alaska, and the VP choice. He said, “No one asks a man this question!” See? See what this election has done? It has made a far-left (former) Democrat quote RUDY GUILIANI!!! Ahem. But questioned she is - by members of OBAMA’S campaign. Again, this is the one NARAL and Emily’s List, along with Planned Parenthood, have endorsed. Way to go, women, you endorsed the candidate who is setting us back DECADES. Talk about your internalized misogyny…

There is an excellent piece in the Christian Science Monitor, brought to my attention by alert NQ reader MamaTx, entitled, “Sarah Palin Can Have It All: I should know. I’m a writer and the mother of 12,” by Barbara Curtis, “Monitor Opinion Editor Josh Burek talks with Barbara Curtis about Sarah Palin and working mothers.” It is an excellent article. Barbara Curtis sums up the issues beautifully, so I will close with the full text of her fine piece:

Bluemont, Va. - The five children. The newborn diagnosed with Down syndrome. The pregnant daughter. Sarah Palin’s life – chock full of challenge – confronts her opposition with some formidable challenges of its own. After decades of pushing equal rights and treatment for women, the Left is backtracking.

Suddenly motherhood – well, at least too much motherhood or too-complicated motherhood – is incompatible with executive responsibility. Fathers with little children or complex family issues – even some who cheated on their wives – have held office without having to justify their continuing careers. Yet women once again face a very different standard.

Who knew that beyond the glass ceiling feminists vowed to shatter there existed another barrier, imposed by feminists themselves? What happened to choice? To having it all? Have we had a paradigm shift since Aug. 29? What’s to stop Governor Palin from doing it all?

This debate matters a lot to me. I have 12 children, including four diagnosed with Down syndrome. Three were adopted. I’m a professional writer. And yes, some people wonder how I do it all, or if I’m doing any of it as well as I should.

The skepticism about Palin’s ability to juggle responsibilities has been punctuated with below-the-belt punches. My heart goes out to her and to every mom who soldiers on in the face of such flak. Sisterhood can be powerful, but only when we celebrate one another’s accomplishments and growth – in all our diversity.

The hardworking mother rolling up her sleeves to tackle a “man’s job” is a staple throughout American history and folklore. Think Rosie the Riveter. Think “Places in the Heart,” featuring Sally Field as a Depression-era widow succeeding against all odds. These tales of women transformed through their work – even as they transformed the culture – resonate with me. As a second-wave feminist, I recall how we turned the medical establishment on its head over childbirth.

In 1969 it was barbaric: flat on your back, bright lights and stirrups, no husband allowed. My first, Samantha Sunshine, was whisked off to the nursery, and I was forced to stay in bed without her. Just standard procedure.

When Jasmine Moondance was born at home in 1975, I was up in 20 minutes – an older and wiser counterculture mom hip to the global portrait of motherhood as part of the fabric of life, including rice-paddy moms who simply pushed out their babies, wrapped them up, and went back to work. This kind of “Sisterhood is Powerful” approach had put women in control of their birthing experience.

And our mothering experience as well. At first it was an either/or choice: stay-at-home motherhood – discredited by Betty Friedan’s “The Feminine Mystique” and Ms. magazine – or “real work” alongside men. But as time went on and women seemed disinclined to give up their biological imperative, word came down that we could have it all – work and motherhood – and outclass men at the same time.

Think “I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in the pan” from the 1970s (and now clearly retro) Enjoli perfume commercial. Perhaps that’s not what we mean today by having it all, but it’s the confident spirit that rings a bell almost 40 years later.

That confidence took us places we never dreamed. In 2001, Jane Swift of Massachusetts became the first governor to give birth in office – to twins. Her maternity leave included a governor’s council teleconference from her hospital bed. And while Ms. Swift was rebuked for using aides to babysit her daughter, Palin’s record of eschewing the trappings of power – selling the governor’s jet on eBay, for example – suggests she wouldn’t make such mistakes. So what to make of the fire and brimstone raining down on Palin?

Is it because her choices aren’t the ones feminists anticipated? Or was it ever really about choice at all? Just because Palin’s choices skew away from abortion and toward the affirmation of life – even in difficult circumstances – does that mean they shouldn’t be accorded the same dignity as those more in line with today’s feminist party line?

“How do you do it all?” people ask me. All I can say is that my capacity has grown with each child. I’ve learned to assess situations quickly, gather information and advice, negotiate, delegate, communicate clearly, and work under great pressure and with little sleep. Put simply, motherhood is its own executive office. That’s why it’s a proving ground for political leadership.

“The personal is the political” was a feminist mantra I still believe. Which leads me to a qualification for office that sets Palin apart from her peers: Consistency.

You see, motherhood under pressure has a way of helping women become greater than they started out to be. And the fact that Palin has a baby with Down syndrome only makes me trust her more. Here’s a woman who chooses sacrifice and challenge over expediency and convenience.

I’ve seen those pictures of Palin nursing her baby as she signs a bill into law and as she pushes a grocery cart. Moms understand that those photos might well have been taken just a few hours apart. That’s the kind of life we lead.

Can she do it all? Trust me, there are lots of moms out here who know she can.

What Is More Important?

Many have asked, where has Nancy Pelosi been? As a figurehead in government, a representative of women at large, a benefactor of funding from organizations like Emily’s list, why has she not taken a stand to defend not only Hillary Clinton, but more importantly, the advancement of women in our society.

When asked about sexism and the demeaning assaults against Hillary Clinton by the media, her retort, paraphrased, was she was too busy being Speaker of the House. Wrong!!!

Follow the Money

Enter George Soros, Felix Rohatyn, and Joseph Onek.

Let us connect the dots. In February, 2007, Nancy Pelosi hired Joseph Onek as her Chief Counsel. Mr. Onek is also a chief policy advisor for the Open Society Institute, funded by none other than George Soros.

You may be curious about Felix Rohatyn. Mr. Rohatyn is a not only a major financial backer of Nancy Pelosi but he is one of her top economics advisors.

The Obama Connection

Mr. Obama has called for the formation of a National Infrastructure Investment Bank (NIRB). This is a derivative of the Rohatyn-Rudman National Investment Corporation (NIC) first proposed in 2005.

Essentially, Mr. Obama is a surrogate for a private investment model controlled by George Soros and those that subscribe to his world monetary monopoly model. The NIRB is nothing more than a fascist economic model.

Be Careful

Ms. Pelosi would have us believe her job is so demanding her inability to not only perceive but to understand the sexism, media bias, and misogyny was not within her realm. Do not be fooled! She is in bed with the enemy. FOLLOW THE MONEY!!!!!

On CNN’s Larry King Live Thursday night, Cynthia Ruccia of Women For Fair Politics debated Ellen Moran (a different Ellen) who represents Emily’s List — which has disappointingly decided to back Barack Obama instead of sticking to its founding charter of supporting women candidates:

Don’t miss all of Ellen4Hill’s story here, “My Response to Emily’s List’s E-Mail.”

Emily’s List should stick to its fundamental goal: To elect qualified women across the country.

The last thing that Emily’s List should be doing is seeking to dilute its funds needed for female candidates by backing Barack Obama, who permitted and participated in the sexist attacks on Hillary Clinton.
